Yes the property was clean and great.

Well, when we arrived in our room there was no electricity. There was no one in the reception at 7pm (thats when we check-in). When I called their helpline, the concerned person’s exact words were “You are making things complicated” when I told him that I need boiling water for my baby and that is only possible if electricity is sorted and I can use kettle. We paid for the stay and he sounded like he has no responsibility to fix the issue. The tone was very rude and non welcoming. However, it was fixed after 1.5 hours of constant regret of booking this place. The place itself was great. However, the staff on call was very rude making me feel uncomfortable resulting in sad stay. Nevertheless, overall other staff especially the breakfast staff was great !!!

The location was just beautiful. We loved the sound of the rushing river, and enjoyed checking out the quaint church next door with its old cemetery behind. There was easy, direct access to a hiking trail behind the guest house, and it was an easy walk from the Wilderswil train, and a comfortable stroll to the two restaurants we visited on our stay. The room was comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated (in keeping with the retro feel!).

Highly highly recommend this property, was definitely one of our favorite stays during our trip to Switzerland. The room was clean and spacious, overlooking the mountains and the water. I absolutely loved hearing the rushing water from my hotel window. Sheets and towels were tidied everyday and a free breakfast was provided in the morning. Great location in Wilderswil that was right by multiple trains and buses, making it extremely easy to travel to Interlaken and other attractions. The town itself was super quaint and everyone was extremely friendly, including the staff. They allowed us to drop off our luggage upon arrival while our room was being prepped and had lots of resources that detailed various activities to do nearby as well. Also a super cute cat that hung out around the property!

Loved everything about this stay! Nothing to note that we didn't like - room was clean and spacious, proper amenities, good breakfast and friendly staff. The views outside our window was stunning and it was extremely close to the trains!

The location is fantastic. Only a 5-6 minute walk from Wilderswill train station so it's super easy to take a bus, train, or take the cog train for the Platte (absolutely recommend). Being next to the river, our room (203) had the great sound of the river when the windows were open. The morning breakfast was also nice. The shower in the room was very nice as it can be raised and lowered plus the water pressure can be adjusted easily. The room was very clean with some nice historic touches. The bed was still modern and comfortable. The bathroom also had some spare shower soaps if needed as well as glasses in the bathroom to use for brushing your teeth. Finally we were able to check in way before the check-in time to drop off our luggage and get the room key which also doubles to open the front door. The front desk worker who's name I'm forgetting was kind and stored our bags behind the front desk until we returned which made getting around during the day so much easier all at no extra cost. The bathroom also being in the room was very nice as we didn't have to share with anyone.

The only real drawback was no fan in the room. Unless you keep the windows open there's no airflow. A simple standing fan would be great if added in the future since there's no way to cool the room other than opening the windows.

Loved that it was a little out of the town, but still accessible to all we wanted to do! Loved the Swiss chalet feel in a countryside location with the view of the mountains & goats from our balcony & windows! Slept with the window open all night to have the cool air and hear the river. Breakfast was quite sufficient! The warm pretzel roll was my favorite! I was tempted to have another, but decided to save extra carbs for later! Parking close by was appreciated & not expensive. We adjusted the time of our arrival & that was no problem. It was nice that they offered an earlier check-in than most places do. Check-in is done by buzzing the front door, fyi.

The tub in our room was very cozy for 2, but using it to wash my hair/shower afterwards required remaining constantly bent over because of the angled ceiling. It was impossible to stand-up in. For one night it was fine. Not all the rooms have that, so it may not be an issue for you. The room would have been stuffy with the window closed. (No A/C or fan.) I still got too warm because of the European style of no top flat sheet, just a comforter in a duvet (so it's too warm or nothing, for me).

I love the location, it's very accessible to train, bus station, and most specially in tourist spots there. The breakfast is good, various choices of breakfast. They will clean your room everyday 🥰 The staff are nice and very friendly. The place is clean. I will surely book again here in summer 🥰🙏

When you're a type of person who is very sensitive to noise, it's not for you.. It's because the Church bells very often, also in the night. But that was never a problem to us. It's just for us a lullaby 🥰

The hotel is located in the beautiful, small town of Wilderswill, just 2 mins walk from the main railway station and bus stop. The building was beautiful and antique. As all other reviews said, its self check-in and not much interaction with staff, which we didn't mind. However, on the day of leaving, the lady (not sure if the caretaker or owner) was warm enough to say goodbye and gave a few cookies, which made us happy. After check-out, they even allowed us to keep our luggage till evening without charging. Room was clean, nice with a view of river and church. Btw, the church bell didn't bother us at all, the windows were well-insulated. Breakfast was decent.

Root were super clean and comfortable. Breakfast was super and staff were elderly people and they were super friendly. Hotel is right opposite to the river and can hear the sound of flowing water( the current was high). We enjoyed it. The location is not conveniently accessible by public transport. However if you are travelling by car, then accessibility is not an issue(that why we choose, to avoid crowds). There are restaurants nearby( like 5-10 min drive).

The price we paid was around 175-180 euro per day and we felt it was super costly. Given the fact that entire Swiss is costly, could compliant much on it.

The strong point of this hotel is its location. It’s just a few minutes away from the train station, where you can travel to any tourist cities like Lauterbrunnen, Interlaken and Grindelwald. The hotel is antique, but it’s enough to stay for a few nights with comfort. Like many other hotels in the area, it’s like self check-in hotel, so there isn’t much interaction with the staff, which is ok in my opinion. Communication was clear, and when I arrived I already knew everything about my room. Parking is on the street, but the hotel charges CHF 4 per night. There’s a shared fridge on the first floor. The breakfast is complete with different types of breads, fruits, eggs, etc.

Location is amazing if you are exploring the jungfraujoch region. Its a quick 5 minute walk to the train station, and another 5ish minutes to Interlaken. You are also able to catch the train the other direction to Lauterbrunnen or Grindelwald. The room is on the smaller side, and is a little dated, but the bed was comfortable at least. The breakfast was ok, which was mainly breads, sliced cheeses, and cold cuts of meat. Cereal and yogurt are available as well as some fruit. The wifi (free) worked well and was stable throughout the visit (100+mbps). The shower was in the tub, and you are not able to stand up while showering. No elevator on site, so expect to carry your luggage up the steps. Be aware there is NO AC in the rooms. We visited in July which luckily the temps were not too bad, but after leaving for the day and coming back the room was definitely hot and stuffy. We opened the window and the doors to our balcony, and while it quickly cooled our room down, it also let it lots of spiders, which quickly put an end to having our door open. We did sleep with our window open every night, which seemed to not let in spiders, and was amazing listening to the river rushing by.

Not able to reach staff later in the day, we had some questions about checking out and availability to have breakfast early, but was not able to find anyone, and no way to reach someone. Lack of AC.
