The process starts from the check-in and the automation to enter the room simply dazzles you. The room was indeed very nicely decorated and the balcony was great with the view of the clouds which were just at a level where it met with the mountains. My dream of having such views came to reality as it was just the perfect time to visit and the view from the balcony of Hotel Sonne was simply breath taking. The hotel offers coffee and snacks in the common areas and also the chocolates which they give are as smooth as silk. I never wanted to leave the room as it was the perfect combination of cozy and comfort.

Hotel is well located in Interlaken. It is not too far & not in the busy streets. I stayed one night in the city centre and the noise and the people were so loud but at Hotel Sonne it is so peaceful and calm. The view was great from our room and we loved the coffee station with the nice little swiss chocolates offered. The super market and restaurants and the bus stop is so close by. The Hotel is just in the right place as we wanted it to be.

Breakfasts offered are only with Vegetarian and Vegan Options, but we have a lovely bakery just across the entrance of the hotel which serves breakfasts and this is definitely equal to having breakfast in the hotel.

Super friendly staffs! They have a bus-stop named under their hotel. Yes, you heard me right, the bus stop is named Matten, Hotel Sonne! You definitely can't miss it! Remember to ask for your Guest Card which you can take the buses within Interlaken and train to Grindelwald for free. You get some discount on the full Jungfrau Railways tickets. The bakery shop opposite the hotel is very good too!

I understand that they will be closed for 2 months for some renovation/upgrading work after this October. So I guess all those imperfections will be fixed by then. 😀

Great location, superb balcony view, friendly and welcoming staff. Room was comfortable with phone app access which was convenient. Extra shout out to staff who surprised my brother with a lovely birthday cake and didn't forget me either :-)

Would be handy to have a small fridge in the room.

The rooms are cozy and spotless, and the staff are friendly and helpful. One notable feature is the presence of a double pillows, adding extra comfort for guests - Usually not seen in other 3* in Switzerland. Additionally, the hotel provides air conditioning for an extra charge. The breakfast is varied and fresh, ensuring guests start their day energized. The surrounding area is beautiful, providing a perfect setting for relaxation. Overall, this hotel is recommended for travelers seeking good value and a comfortable stay.

Excellent Coffee at coffee stations & are always well stacked well but would have been nice if it would have been in the rooms and not in common areas

Location is good despite it being a 20 minute walk from Interlaken Ost. The hotel provides a free bus pass and the two stops are just outside the hotel. Restaurants, bars and a bakery are within a minute of the hotel as well. Hotel staff is helpful and friendly and free coffee, snacks, fresh water are provided at every floor. Check-in is quick and overall the price makes this a great value for the Interlaken area. Friendly front staff every day made the stay worthwhile.

Closing the room door fully required making some noise as you had to pull hard and you could hear this with all of the room doors closing loudly.

Location was very convenient - the bus stops were just a few steps away from the entrance. Quiet at night. Comfy beds - there was an extra bed for the 3rd traveler in the room instead of just a sofa bed like other hotels. Nice view of the mountains from the balcony. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free water, tea and coffee with biscuit and chocolate on every floor.

The room door needed to be slammed in order to be closed properly. Otherwise it would trigger the alarm. This created noise nuisance at night and in the early morning to other guests.

Great location, staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and stocked well. Felt the nice outdoor breeze and with the fan it felt great. It’s close to everything, very easy to get to both train stations. Breakfast right across the street.

The room (single twin room) was very small. I know it gave the description online, but I was surprised with the size. I also didn’t have access to internet TV, which for the most part was fine because I was there to explore. But I was exhausted one night and it was raining, I was hoping to watch a show/movie. Plus the room description said it had it.

The hotel is nice, clean and all upgraded with nice room, beds and bathroom… it’s close to all main attraction… they provide u complementary chocolate and coffee/tea… we’d to leave our luggage for day trip after our checkout and they kept it safe for lot longer than i would expect them as our day trip ended up being longer… the front desk guy was very nice and helpful… the hotel provides “city pass” so u can use unlimited city bus service and also get discount at many place… definitely stay in this hotel if u r around the area.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Spotlessly clean hotel. Bonus cooled beverage in lobby along with chocolate!! Coffee on each floor was great (even if not in every room we did not suffer!). Elevator, free parking, requested balcony was lovely. Bathroom ever so slightly dated, but super functional and very clean. Lobby TV (volume off) with web cam of Mountains was fun. Amazing bakery across the street (lots of locals) and gelato one block away. Water fountain next door (such a bonus!). Restaurants and hang out spots nearby. Horses next door! Loved the close/easy/helpful public transport.
