This was an absolutely amazing property! We could not have had a better choice for our first time in Interlaken. For starters, the location is amazing. Very easy to get to bus stops and the nearby train station. It is also in a quiet and safe area that made it easy to walk in at night and early morning. Next, the staff is so lovely! They were very genuine in helping us and went above and beyond to accommodate us and give us advice for our trip. There is also a very adorable dog on property as well! They have great breakfast in the morning, and even take your coffee order to bring it to you. The food spread is delicious and was much needed for our excursions. The rooms are also very spacious and clean. We were able to be very comfortable throughout our time there. This hotel made our journey so worth it, and we hope we can come back again.

I stayed at Hotel de la Paix for a few nights and had a really nice time overall. The location is perfect—just a short walk from Interlaken West station, but still in a quiet area. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning. The hotel has a lovely, traditional charm and the garden area is great for relaxing.

There were a couple of unusual things. There were ants in the room during my stay, which wasn’t ideal. Also, the bathroom window looked directly onto the neighbouring balcony, which felt a bit strange when people were sitting out there.

The hotel is located at a short walk from interlaken West station where regional long distance trains stop. It connects to Interlaken Ost where short distance regional trains stop. There were plenty of restaurants close by. You can see mountain out from the window. The service was good and breakfast was included. The room was on 3rd floor and had a small lift. Car parking was free. The room and hotel interior was good. What I liked most was the customer service.

The room was very compact, suitable for only one person. There was no fridge. The internet was a bit flaky.

We stayed 6 nights: Delicious breakfast each morning! Very friendly & helpful staff. There´s a small elevator, very practical. Didn´t expect that really! Great location. (Train and bus station 2 streets away, including so many stores for food and shopping) Beautiful building. I would come here again, definitely! Highly recommend it! You will not regret staying here. On the contrary, you will leave with a smile.

Wifi a bit slow, but oke really. For the 2-person bed: I wish they´d have a single mattress instead of 2 small ones conjoined (you feel the gap when laying down), but we knew this before arriving. Not a dealbreaker. (I also saw this in some other hotels online, so it´s not just here)

A charming hotel, proud of its history and many areas are traditionally decorated. The property is located in a quiet but very accessible location near Interlaken West station, I’d say a 5 minute walk. There is no doubt that Interlaken Ost is more bustling but it is only a 15/20 minute walk away or just hop on the train. Personally I preferred the calm & quiet location. You are given a tourist card that covers local buses and trains too, this is valid for the duration of your stay. Breakfast was served between 7 & 10am. It was very good and set you up for your activities for the day. Scrambled eggs/baked beans were your hot options with the usual cold meats, cold eggs,cheeses & jams along with a nice selection of breads/croissants plus Yoghurt and fruit. Best hotel tea and coffee provided here too. Especially if you miss a British cuppa. Our room was their basic room but it still had a lovely balcony to sit out on. The door to this and a window provided an additional breeze to the supplied fan. Rooms are not air conditioned so if you struggle with heat in the summer this may not be the property for you. The owners and staff cannot be faulted. Helpful and polite on all occasions.

The bathroom was quite compact. The shower tray was small and had a curtain. Not something you see too often now. Smoking seemed to be allowed on balconies as ashtrays provided. The smoke entered rooms when windows open.

Great location, spotlessly clean hotel. Very comfortable room which was on the top floor with spectacular views of the Alps. There was a lovely breakfast with high quality food and beverages. The hosts who own and run the hotel were very friendly and helpful and went beyond what we would expect when we had a couple of requests. They were so nice and helped to ensure that we had a great holiday. We highly recommend this hotel.

Great family-owned hotel in the quiet area, 5 minutes walk to the city center, restaurants and bars. Hotel has its own parking just next to the entrance. The property looks very nice, in a traditional Swiss way, the interior of the main areas is decorated in an interesting old-fashioned way. The room was spacious with a balcony and a queen sized bed. The bed and the pillows were very comfortable, ones of the best we ever had. Staff was very friendly, extremely helpful explaining how the visitors card can be used and very professional. The breakfast was very good, especially the coffee. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

The shower room was relatively small and furniture relatively old, but it didn’t affect our overall impression of the hotel. Which is excellent.

This hotel is in a great location. We walked everywhere and took public transportation. All the staff was very helpful and friendly. There were lots of public spaces to hang out in, if you needed a break from your room. There is a grocery store nearby, and lots of shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend it

Switzerland in general is more expensive than other European countries; but its beauty, cleanliness, friendliness, and innovative thinking makes it a worthwhile trip. Hotel de la Paix was a good value for what you get.

This hotel is nicely located 4 min walk away from Interlaken West (not Ost), which is convenient for you to access all the major attractions in the city. The decorations in the hotel are very vintage and nostalgic. The staffs at reception are very nice and efficient, the check in process was really quick and smooth. The staffs will also give you some coupons and visit card so that you can save some money on transportation and tickets. The breakfast was delicious, my personal favorite were croissant and cheese. On the whole I enjoyed my stay here.

There are a few things I think that can be improved. The wifi connection is very unstable, sometimes I couldn’t connect to it at all. There were some bugs flying into the room in the night time. There was no curtain in the bathroom window, so the sun ray just shines directly onto your back burning you while you are squading on the toilet. The shampoo and soap are provided at very limited amount, the shampoo was for both hair/body, but they only provided one pack, and also refreshed with only one pack each day, which was not enough, I hope that the hotel would be more generous with the shampoos and soaps.

The hotel De La Paix is conveniently located in close proximity from Interlaken West train station and other shopping areas. The rooms are comfortable and bathroom is spacious. The front desk staff Herman Charlotte are extremely cordial and were indeed gracious to us. This is a family run hospitality with a personal touch. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

There is not anything not to like about this property. The only recommendation I would suggest is to have electronic key card entry to the rooms and front entrance as opposed to the old fashion key locks. This is definitely not a negative but a suggestion for upgrade.
