We were Interrrailing around Switzerland with our daughter, so chose Hotel Crystal because we wanted a hotel that was easily walkable from the rail station. Its location is perfect as it is literally 3 minutes walk from the Interlaken West station on a flat, paved road (avoiding steep and/or unpaved walks always being an important consideration when you're carrying luggage in Switzerland). It’s a well priced, clean and comfortable hotel which offers triple rooms with single beds as well as the more usual double rooms. The breakfast is a generous buffet with cheeses, cold meats, fruit, boiled eggs and birchner muesli, as well as some hot options (scrambled eggs, baked beans) and a daily 'surprise' (pancakes one day, sausages the next during our stay). It's a two minutes walk from a shopping centre with a Migros supermarket anchor store where you can stock up on provisions for picnics and is easily walkable to restaurants in the centre of Interlaken. Alternatively you can catch buses and trains (including to Interlaken East station, from where trains to Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen depart) free of charge using the Interlaken Card that you're issued with by the hotel for the duration of your stay. The hotel also has some guest parking.

The only very small quibble that we had was the small number of plugs in the room, given that we were trying to charge multiple devices (my advice would be to bring an adapter that allows charging of more than one device at a time). There was no air conditioning in the room, although this wasn't an issue for us as we were travelling in April.

The room is very clean and neat. The staff is friendly especially the lady attended to us during our checkin and checkout. She was helpful to check out the livecam situation for Harder Kulm and give us good advise. We took her advice and went up even though it was raining down below. We had a fantastic view and time up there. Thank you for going the extra mile for us and glad we didn't miss visiting this awesome place. The location is not the most centralised but it is easily accessible by bus or walk. And the hotel gave us a free pass which make travel so much easier and great savings

Overall, my stay was very pleasant. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and in a convenient location. The staff were especially nice and extremely helpful throughout my stay — always ready to assist with a smile. From check-in to check-out, the service felt warm and professional. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.

However, one downside was the lack of easily accessible power outlets in the room, which made it a bit inconvenient to charge my devices. Still, I would consider staying here again on my next visit.

Incredibly friendly people. The wonderful lady running breakfast brought our son and I our preferred warm drinks each morning :). It was lovely. Also the front desk folks were super kind. Location for us was fantastic as its a 2 minute walk to a Migros supermarket with restaurant, lots of good restaurant (Pasta store and Indian Gourmet were two highlights), and a 4 minute walk to Interlaken West train station, which allows you to get everywhere!

Only tricky part really was that it gets hot in the summer. This can't be helped! Most hotels I've seen on this price range don't have AC in Interlaken. Thankfully, Crystal provided us a fan that enabled us to sleep through a super hot set of nights.

I was very happy with this 3 Star Hotel. The price was very reasonable for Interlaken. The bedroom was a good size.The bathroom had a very good shower.The Staff in reception were very friendly. The Breakfast Room was very pleasant.The buffet had a variety of food choices and for a 3 Star quite surprised.Tim who was on duty was very friendly and helpful.I will definitely stay again at this hotel.

As I like to drink coffee very much found there could be an improvement.

The room was nice and clean. Bed and pillow were comfortable. Reception lady was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and had quite a few options to choose from. The staffs who was looking after breakfast room was very attentive and lovely. Location of the property was only less then 5 mins walk to Interlaken West train station which was super convenience. And also less than 5 mins walk to Migros Supermarket.

The helpfulness of the lady receptionist at the hotel. Despite handling a group booking of twenty one people when I first arrived she did not ignore me in order to deal with the complicated requirements of the group leader. I encountered her several times during my stay and she was pleasant and went out of her way in order to assist me. The hotel is situated close to Interrlaken West station, it is a level walk from the station and easy to find. A popular hotel, despite dealing with numerous people at breakfast time I found staff to be attentive and helpful. It is possible to access the hotel late at night with what, to me, was a unique key arrangement, but you will have to stay there yourself to find out what it is! The attached photograph was taken a few hundred metres away from the hotel.

My bedroom window looked out over the street (no traffic noise disturbance though) on the other side of which was a petrol station forecourt! However, this did not distract from the pleasure of staying there. Don't expect standardised bedrooms as this appears to be an independent hotel but despite the age of the furniture in the room the bed was extremely comfortable.

Honestly, this hotel is fantastic. The bed was comfortable, the room had a fridge and a shower with amazing water pressure. The staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast lady knew my choice of drink by heart on the second day. Had service in french in the heart of German speaking Switzerland which was unexpected. For the price you pay, it is a fantastic place to stay. Oh, also it's a 2 minutes walk from Interlaken West!

I'd say my only complain was that the doors to every room were thin. You could hear people come and go if you have noisy room neighbours and whatnot. However as someone who moves and walks a lot during my travels : I slept like a baby and didn't hear anything + my room neighbours were calm :)

Amazing staff! We were wonderfully delighted by how warm and welcoming the staff were, from the receptionists to the breakfast attendants. We were spoiled by a hearty breakfast every morning that we looked forward to each night! We stayed in different hotels throughout our trip and Hotel Crystal was our absolute favorite.

The pillows were a tad too flat for my liking, but that’s just personal preference!

Staff are very friendly, they were extremely helpful, they told us what to do and stuff, they also pointed out that there was food festival to check out near us when we didn't know about it, they gave us info on Paragliding as well. Room location is great! it's near Interlaken west, has a couple of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, gas station, we opened the window and we say beauty in our own eyes. Room was comfortable, and the bathroom is very clean. Breakfast is good and filling.

Like other places we stayed in Europe, there are no AC in the room, just a fan.
