We liked a lot about this hotel because for hikers and nature lovers like us it was functional and practical. It is a five minute walk from Interlaken West station and close to a supermarket. It is in a quiet suburban area. In this small, family-run hotel, it is the staff who make this a clean, calm, comfortable place to stay. Thank you Lotschberg team! We used the common room to relax after hiking in the mountains, to make a cup of tea and to be always surprised by a glimpse of spectacular snow-capped mountain in the distance. We appreciated talking to the staff about mountains and trails, staying safe in the high mountains, and respecting the fragile, Alpine natural environment and ecosystems. We also liked that there was a small field nearby with cows and the music of their tinkly bells.

We stayed in room “1” and were thrilled to have a balcony, with a direct view to Harder Klum. Great aircon and roomy bathroom. Watching the hang gliders from our balcony was a highlight. Very quiet location, however just a street back from the main street. Beat on reception was incredible with his local knowledge and recommendations for quiet drinks and dinner amongst the locals. Beat also suggested a day trip by train from Interlaken Ost to Grindelwald..Kleine Scheidegg..Wengen..Lauterbrunnen and back to Interlaken Ost. The free bus pass was great. We also took the funicular to Harder Klum and received a discount with the buss pass. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and great scrambled eggs. I loved the animals across the road also.

The only thing I was not 100% happy with was the bed was against the wall making it hard to sleep with a partner. The balcony ledge could do with a little clean.

Great location close to West train station and eateries. Easy walk to centre of Interlaken and Ost train station.

Pillows were very uncomfortable. Would have liked more fresh fruit at breakfast. Found it very strange that the reception closed at 7pm. In a major tourist town, with travellers from around the world arriving at all times we expected at least an 18 hr reception. It was fortunate that we dropped off our bags before heading to Zermatt for the day otherwise we would not have been able to check-in that evening.

Staff were friendly, breakfast included was decent and location is very convenient. Also the common areas were great. Staff kept the rooms and areas clean. There is a laundry facility too, at a fee.

The shower drain did not work properly and may need to be unblocked/repaired. Observed that previous customers had similar issue.

Staff were very friendly and professional - felt right at home. Loved the shared lounge and dining space. Continental breakfast was included and made the start to our days out more relaxing. There is also a laundry facility for hotel guests (operated separately) right next door. Staff were extremely helpful in holding our luggage before check-in time. The location was by far the best advantage with Migros and Interlaken West station less than a couple minutes walk away!

Great breakfast with freshly cooked eggs. Good selection. Nice common room always available tea and coffee. Excellent location. Overall the hotel had everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Hotel is a bit dated but you its clean and you get everything you need. Important to realise for Switzerland this is par for average so it is not fair to be expecting 5-star modern accommodations at this price.

The beds and pillows are no good. The rule about not eating/drinking in the room should be mentioned upfront on Booking.com. I can see how for some it can be a deal-breaker. We didn't need to and there is a very large and well-equiped common room to eat in but as can be expected you don't get privacy and have to smell other people's different food which can be strong at times.

The staff are super friendly and helpful, it was my first solo trip and I was quite nervous, but the hotel felt safe and clean. the location is great, loads of shops and restaurants around. They also provide with suggestions on good restaurants and where to go. I had an amazing time staying here.

Nothing was bad, I only wish there was some more variety in the breakfast and wish they provided with a kettle and mugs in the room

Beautiful property, beautiful views, a park close by is plus for kids. Interlaken west is close by. There was an old man who was very nice sometimes and sometimes he is very rigid. Iron facility is next door. It was good stay for us.

At breakfast time things were finishing and not re filled soon. If you ask for scrambled eggs, they give you very small portion i really ask them to give me more. Also we left around 7am i saw on booking.com that they can pack a quick breakfast but when i ask the reception he said he can’t which is strange to me.

The location was perfect for us. A little out of the way if you want to be right in the middle of EVERYTHING. For hustle and bustle you probably want to stay near the Interlaken Ost train station. This hotel was close to Interlaken West train station and perfect for travelers looking for peace and quiet... We saw paragliders, goats, and mountains from our window every day. You're still only a 20 minute walk to Interlaken Ost.

This hotel was wonderful, the nice young lady at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. The bed was comfy, the views were amazing, the location was convenient and peaceful. The ONLY complaint is that another guest stole our groceries from the shared refrigerator. We had some good wine and cheese and bread and they completely robbed us. Be careful! Even with the thieves, I would still recommend this hotel and would absolutely stay again, just might not share the refrigerator next time!
