For a solo traveller this is a simple, homely b&b hotel in an excellent, quiet location just 6-7mins walk from Interlaken West station. The staff were wonderfully welcoming and helpful and rooms cleaned daily. Breakfast included fresh fruit, juices, cereal, yoghurts, croissants and fresh rolls plus usual continental breakfast staples. No reception after 7pm but the hotel has a very neat system for getting in and out after hours. They provided maps etc and the Interlaken card that offers free travel on local transport and discounts at some attractions. Would definitely stay here again.

Nothing really. A hot option at breakfast might be nice, but not vital for me. Thinnish duvet was fine for a summer visit but you might want something more substantial in winter!

Christine, the owner, was helpful and informative about our destinations around Interlaken. She provided valuable information that helped us plan our time there. Christine was cheerful and accommodating.

The quality of the breakfast was good. But our group of four would have preferred some different items in the daily choices. After three mornings of eating the same things, we were ready for something different. I opted not to have daily room service since I was there for only 3 nights. It saves the hotel water and time. There was one hand towel and a bath towel in the room. When I came back at the end of a day exploring, I asked Bridgette for an extra bath towel. Her questions and resistance to give me a towel made me uncomfortable. You would think I was asking for a free night! I explained I didn't have room service and I needed one more clean towel for the rest of my stay. Reluctantly...after telling me she had to keep a "tally", she gave me a towel. )o:

This hotel should be rated higher than it is. Sure, it's not a resort, but it's kept clean and well maintained and it has great charm. Christine and her staff make everyone feel welcome and you probably will feel like moving in and calling it home. We had a larger room for three of us and a separate room upstairs for another member of our party. Both were exactly what we needed, and you don't have to awkwardly share a bathroom with complete strangers. The beds are comfortable and the showers don't run out of hot water. The breakfasts in the morning offer a little variety and they are a great way to start your day. The breakfasts offered personal service. We loved visiting with Christine and are very thankful for everything she and the Hotel Alphorn provided for us. We hope to travel here again and would consider other places only if the Hotel Alphorn was completely booked.

The Alphorn hotel is a gem! The rooms are ultra clean, beds are ultra comfy, delicious breakfast, and the hospitality was superb! Christine and her staff welcomed us with their warm Swiss hospitality. They were so helpful in helping us navigate the city, secure a dinner reservation and gave us a special card to ride free public transportation around Interlaken. We are sad to be leaving. I can’t think of a thing that we didn’t like. Everything was perfect!

The property is located at the center of Interlaken west that means you're very close to train, bus, local groceries, restaurants etc. Interlaken is itself very beautiful so you can take a walk as well.. Breakfast was good and the cleanliness of the room was top class.. Good hugine maintenace as well.

Nothing as such.. However I was not aware that the staffs are all off after 7 pm. I only noticed on the day of my checkin. However this is not a major concern as they've all the arrangements for the guest. No issues at all.

1. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The towels were changed daily as well. 2. The breakfast was made up of bread, butter and other spreads, cold cuts, cereals, fresh fruits, yogurt, juice and coffee. It was enough to sustain us till mid afternoon. 3. The location was in Interlaken West, more on the quiet side of town. Very near train station and one can easily walk all the way to Interlaken Ost. 4. Hospitality - it was Sassa who received us when we arrived and she explained the house rules. On the succeeding days, it was Christine who met us for breakfast. I didn't get the name of the person in charge of housekeeping - she was awesome!

The location is REALLY GREAT. Short walk, approximately 400 meters, from the Interlaken West station with Migros Supermarket nearby. Also, room is VERY CLEAN and VERY SPACIOUS. Hotel staff cleans rooms daily. Breakfast buffet is GENEROUS with a selection of cheese, cold cuts, bread, juices, cereals, and fruits. Most importantly, hotel staff is generously accommodating especially Sassa. Sassa makes interaction with guests really warm, friendly, and personal. Stay at Alphorn is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I just hoped there was air-conditioning in the room, or perhaps I just didn't notice it. The room's heater was constantly turned on since it was winter during our stay in December 2024, so room could get quite warm unless the window is opened.

Friendly stuff Cleanliness Location In general, very good hotel. I recommend it.

Blanket size Tiny bathroom Although the bed is double, the blanket is definitely not suitable for this bed - too narrow. The bathroom size is ridiculous. There is only 35cm between the toilet seat and the wall. So I had to use the toilet sideways. It was impossible to wash my face and shave in a sink with the closed door. Because when I bend down, I hit the wall. So I had to open the door, bend towards the sink and get half of my body outside of the bathroom. The same applies to having a shower. Once I get out, impossible to towel off with the limited space - I swiped my whole body down the wall all the time. But it's very minor inconveniences. For a few nights there, it was absolutely all right. Very good hotel.

I really liked the close but quiet location of the hotel. The lady, I think, Christine? was great. She recommended the trip around the mountains, where to stop, where we walk, we we take the train, etc. We had a fantastic day. It was long and fun. We stopped at a number of small towns in the mountains and had lunch in one and drinks in another. We saw the internal waterfalls and walked and walked. We thank her.

I know its old, but it was very hot and I wish we had sir conditioning.

Incredible place to stay! Would without a doubt choose hotel Alphorn over a 5 star hotel chain any day. Christine was amazing and really made an impression on our stay, especially with all her personal recommendations around town. I didn’t catch the other ladies name that we crossed paths with on Thursday morning (very sorry) but despite still preparing breakfast for the day, you made sure we had a bite to eat and drink before we went on our way.
