The hotel is newly renovated and in the best location.

I hang the "stay out" sign at the door during breakfast and put back the "please clean up room" sign just before going out for sightseeing (before 11 AM). However, the room was not cleaned when I came back in the late afternoon. I notified the reception but they said that it's too late to get the room treated. That means the housekeepers give you only one chance at the minute they stop by the room. If you miss that chance, you miss a clean room for the day!!! :(

The Hey Hotel was located perfectly for our stay. It was close to shops, restaurants and the train stations. Our room was spacious and had 2 nice chairs to relax instead of having to sit on the bed. Storage for our clothing was adequate for our stay and there was a full length mirror too. I cannot say enough about the staff at the front desk, WOW. There were 3 gentlemen that we encountered during our stay and they were so helpful with any questions we had about the area and the hotel. Sadly, when checking out, I forgot to grab my souvenir bag. I called as soon as I realized and they are going to mail the items to me! They were fantastic with email communication about the mailing process and as of this morning, they have been mailed to me! Thank you to Laszlo and Adam who have been emailing me about the package!!!

I found the hotel room to be too warm for my taste. We were on the 4th floor and although we had a temperature control in our room, there wasn't much to be done to truly make it any cooler. It was especially hot after we had taken our showers and the heat from the bathroom was added to the room. And for whatever reason, hotels in Switzerland do not seem to provide wash cloths.

Our recent stay at Hej in Interlaken was delightful. Centrally located and just a short stroll from Interlaken West Station, the hotel offered a convenient base for exploring the area. We got lucky with a top floor room with a view. The rooms were tidy and comfortable, with a charming balcony that provided breathtaking views of the city and surrounding mountains. The friendly staff at the reception made us feel welcome, and the bathroom and room service were impeccable. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning. While the price of 400 CHF per night was a bit higher than we had anticipated, given the peak tourist summer season, it was the most affordable option we could find at the time.

Pricey stay, could have been more reasonable.

i can mention below pros. - housekeeping done every day. i'm not an expert, but maybe it's not a surprise as it's a 4-star hotel. - i got a room with a double-sized comfortable bed. - the room was well furnished. everything was new or new-looking. - they took care of small details like a bag for dirty laundry (probably for their paid laundry services), coffee maker with a coffee pod provided, a kettle with few tea bags, a bottle of water provided every day (it's pity that it was sparkling only), all the toiletry. again, maybe these are must-have for a 4-star hotel, but still, it's a nice touch and attention to detail. - they have a luggage room. it's especially useful for those checking out and wanting to keep their luggage their for some time. this was my case. a big like👍 - staff were kind and hosbitable to me, being nice to me for all my requests. - they have a nice spacious lounge area just in the entrance. good for groups gathering together. - i noticed they had yoga rooms. although I'm not a fan, it's worth noting. - cold water is really ice-cold, which i loved, because i like to wash my feet with cold water after tiring hiking (which you'll do a lot in swiss alps 😉). felt very relaxing. but maybe it's not specific to this hotel, rather a region thing. but anyway, it's worth noting. - in addition to curtains, they have motorized window blinds controlled both centrally and also from the room control panel.

almost no cons. i can mention the things below, but that is if i were quite finicky. they weren't a dreal-breaker and didn't ruin my experience at all. mentioning them just in case. - shower holder (the thing where you hang the shower head) wasn't stable and was moving left to right under high pressure, although it was stable vertically. not so much annoying, but still... - from reviews, i knew that they provide a guest card for free public transport. but they didn't tell me until i asked for it. so this means i would pay for public transport for no reason if i didn't read reviews 😀 btw this guest card works for Interlaken and sourrounding districts. in practice, this is useful for reaching train stations and other places where you may start your tours.

Very good location. Variety of breakfast, they also provide congee. The bed is super comfortable. I love the bed most.

I stayed 3 nights and think that they never clean the floor since every-time I put things on the floor it’s 1 inches of dirt on the floor. Not sure all hotels in Europe are like this?! but I’m not rarely see and also they don’t change the bed sheet every day. I’m not sure what was I missing on communication since I put please make up my room every time we left the room.

It was an amazing stay. The room, the facilities, the breakfast, the service, everything was great. But most importantly, the staff here have such a kind heart. My family and I were in a very difficult situation when we arrived at the hotel late night because of the disruptions in our travel. The two gentlemen at the front desk were very helpful and supportive and went extra mile to help us, even though they don’t have to. They saved my day, big credit to them. To those who are considering this place, rest assured you will be in good hands as the staff here are truly kind and want people to have the best time.

Excellent Location Out of the world Helpful Staff… they went out of the way to provide two fans to manage the heat and also provided multiple buckets of hot water when the supply got disrupted.. Special Mention of Adam the front office guy .. he along with his team were managing the crisis of near non working AC and hot water issues like a war Hero .. Salute to them for their hard work and patience

Air conditioning was extremely weak near zero types so the super hot August month can be difficult . however got to know that it’s across Interlaken as none of the hotels have proper AC. It’s only in last 3yrs that summer has been this hot and unfortunately Interlaken is just not equipped to handle it .. Plus because of lightning and thunderstorm hot water supply got stopped for 1.5 days …

Hotel was great, we had a nice corner room with a balcony. Checking in was efficient and friendly. We were concerned about some bad review we had read; however, for the class of hotel this was an excellent experience.

The TV in the room didn't work. We reported it to the front desk and a maintenance person showed up, tried to fix it, and just left and said the whole building TV reception wasn't working. Actually a few channels did come in and out a few times, so it definitely seems to be a problem with their TV connection, which we assumed was a satellite dish. There was no attempt to try to rectify it while we were there; luckily, we weren't really there to watch TV.

We went on a couple’s tour and stayed at The Hey Hotel – and it was amazing! The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and cooperative. We had a room on the top floor, which had a stunning view and gave off a cozy, hut-like vibe. The breakfast was delicious, the room was very clean, and all the facilities were well-maintained. One of the best things about the hotel is its location – it’s very close to Interlaken West station, which made it super convenient for us. Highly recommended!

Convenient location in a modern hotel. The breakfast was great. The front desk staff was very kind and helpful.

Although the room advertised air conditioning, they don't turn it on until around May 20th. This doesn't help when it is 25 or 26 C temperature outside in mid May and you come back to the room and it is very hot. We had our windows wide open all night long but the room didn't cool off until close to midnight, so this made it difficult to get a full night of sleep for our early mornings. The hotel is also very busy but does a good job with appropriate amount of staff.
