View is superb from room. Eating area inside and out is nice. Getting to location was very easy by bus (free) from station. Rooms felt premium and 'Swiss' (as opposed to many generic hotels) as well as little touches like the blankets for chairs and table outside. Communication from Schoenegg was good before we arrived. Owners/staff were helpful, friendly and multilingual (Swiss, french, English) Breakfast was good with a range of options (cold hardboiled eggs, toast, spreads, yoghurt, fresh fruit, trailmix, meats and cheeses, juices, tea, coffee) Ability to wash and dry clothes for 10€ Location is quiet at night.

Asking for an arrival time 4 months from day of check in (September) is unrealistic and although we accidentally arrived within 1/2 hr of our indicated time we still had to wait to check in anyway (unattended, pressing the from door button) Our room was unexplainably very hot the last night with the only way of cooling the room opening the window, but the windows don't lock/latch open or create a lot of airflow anyway (this is a problem common to any hotel/closed room) Shower curtain feels a bit cheap, and inconvenient for the stall size (as opposed to solid glass.

Nice sized room with views to the surrounding mountains. The continental breakfast was handy to have and yummy. With the price of eating out in Switzerland, it was really handy to have the communal fridge and microwave to store and heat up meals purchased from the supermarkets in town. Having the dining area accessible at all times (which included a coffee machine and kettle to use) was really nice so we weren't having just to eat in our room if we didn't want to.

It was a little far from the main bit of Interlaken, however, the bus stop just up the road and the half-hourly buses wasn't too bad

This was a darling little chalet with peaceful views of the Alps and the edge of town. It was spacious with a nice little kitchenette. The breakfast included was very nice and the staff was fantastic. I would definitely stay here again, but maybe during a different month! Also, there really aren't clear pedestrain sidewalks from the chalet to town - so be careful walking. There is a stretch of road that both Google and Apple maps directed you to walk on, but zero clearance for walkers on the sides. You might need to run, like we did. Again, charming little place and we did enjoy our experience here.

The only thing we found that could be improved was the bathrooms were somewhat musty and the shower curtains didn't really contain the water well. It looked to be remodeled and new'ish ceiling material (wood) and wall tiles, but still smelled a little moldy. It's hard with the small space, so I don't know how they could change it other than maybe installing a shower unit with doors. It was also VERY hot this August, not their fault, but the rooms got quite toasty. One bedroom had a portable AC, which was nice but didn't really cool down too much and the other room had a vertical oscillating fan which didn't cool it down too much, either, although helpful. Just be prepared for that during August.

Fantastic guesthouse perched upon a hill giving great views of the river and mountains. Room was a nice size and very clean. Great location that was easily accessible by bus and a short trip into town. Staff friendly, great breakfast with loads of choice, we were lucky to have weather good enough on our first morning to take breakfast outside on the balcony. Loved the dining area and how you can sit and eat own food, making use of board games etc if you want to.

The third bed in our room was so creaky we ended up putting the mattress on the floor for our second night n order to get a better sleep. Kettle and cups in room but cable for plug too short to reach any sockets without performing a dangerous balancing act, plus no tea/coffee in room to put in it however this was available in the dining area. Probably better just to lose the kettle!

Very easy to get to via bus from the train station. Took less than 5 minutes. Beautiful view from the communal outdoor deck area with plenty of seating. Quiet . I was in a room on the lower level reached by an exterior door to a hallway. the exterior door was tricky to lock and unlock which made for a lot of noise with other guests coming and going. There was another skeleton key type lock on the room door which was also tricky and a third key to get into the communal area where breakfast was served and lounge area on the second floor. too many keys too many troublesome locks. The continental breakfast was substantial with many options of fruit cheese breads yogurt cereals hard-boiled egg teas and coffee nuts and more. A very easy walk into Interlaken and to the funicular. Washer and dryer on site and communal refrigerator.

Three keys and noisy door locks.

The room was very clean and was also cleaned daily (and very thoroughly). The view on Interlaken is simply great. The room is a bit small but very comfortable for 2 people (and our big dog!). It was very easy and fast (20 mins) to reach the Interlaken train station on foot and travel around (e.g. to go to Jungfraujoch). We did not try the breakfast, as we like to start our day earlier than the time it was provided (8.00-10.00).

When we were there, there was a snowstorm. Nobody cleaned the parking lot in 3 days and all the snow became ice, which was quite dangerous both for pedestrians and for the cars. A little bit of cleaning also in the parking place would be good. Also, a bigger trash bin in the common area would be nice.

Very friendly …simple accommodations but they provide everything you could want. We enjoyed having everything available to cook a microwave meal and having it in the cosy sitting room when we were too tired to go out again at night. Views are great but the best thing is the free bus that whisks you down to the station in no time every 30 minutes and this bus pass covers a wide area. Lovely breakfasts.

We would have liked to know that it does not provide evening meals…being a Gasthof we assumed we could eat there.

It reminded me of the hotels from when I was younger - simple but well taken care of, friendly staff, has Wi-Fi but that's pretty much the only technology in the room. Even the keys for the room are literally keys, which I love. It's quiet too. Breakfast is also in a cozy room, simple but well presented. The staff will rearrange the room, which is also a nice thing. Also the staff is extremely helpful. When I come back to Interlaken, will most definitely stay here again.

Just wished the breakfast had some simple hot food like scrambled eggs and some fried bacon. Location wise, they're uphill so if you're carrying luggage, you'll need to catch the 102 bus which runs every 30min (this doesn't really have to do with the property in itself).

The backyard view was amazing with the lake and mountains.

I booked for triple room with private bathroom but the gave us the double rooms with shared bath, I’m very thankful there were no guests on the other two rooms as the bathroom is small. We were on the top floor and had many steps which was not disclosed on their listing. For the monies we paid it’s not worth the view as we only seen it a few minutes a day. I wish they would list that’s it’s not walkable and the only way to get to their place is by taking the bus. When I asked one of their staff if we can walk to their place from the main station and she said “unless you want to walk through the forests”

The staff were really kind, friendly, and helpful. This is a BnB, so the reception may not be available around the clock. However, we informed that we might be coming late, and the reception kindly waited until we arrived and completed our check in. We were assigned a room with a fantastic view, overlooking a river with its naturally clean turquoise water and Alps mountain. The hotel is 2 bus stops away from Interlaken Ost, which is very convenient. By staying in the hotel, we were granted an Interlaken Pass that enable us to take public transport in Interlaken for free. The BnB has washer and dryer machine to use for CHF 10/load. It also has common microwave and fridge for the guest use, which is very helpful as we can buy our lunch/dinner at COOP, reheat, and eat them in the BnB. On our last day we needed to leave early to catch train to Geneve and could not take the breakfast in the BnB. The staff kindly prepared us our breakfast in a box-to-go. Will consider staying again here if we visit Interlaken in the future.

The breakfast timing was limited between 8-10am. I wish it can start earlier so we have more flexibility to depart early to catch our activities in Jungfrau region.
