Great facilities in the apartment, the ability to cook some meals helped keep the overall cost down. Great shower and plenty of room overall. Nice little balcony with seats to enjoy an afternoon beer was relaxing and surreal. Breakfast included was adequate. Really friendly and helpful staff.

Top floor apartment has very low ceiling for the platform main bed so at 6'1" it was awkward to get in and out of bed, hit my head a few times. Pillows were a little hard and the staircase was not lit at night, so navigating the stairs in the middle of the night to go to the toilet was a little difficult. Breakfast doesn't open till 7 30am, so it's a little late if you want to get an early start on the day to beat the crowds .

1. Room was large, comfortable, modern and clean. 2. Good water pressure. 3. The view from our room was also nice and showed part of the Eiger. 4. Breakfast was charming and yummy! 5. Wonderful location - 3min walk from the train station and also along main street so not difficult to get to the shops or restaurants. Overall a great value and clean stay.

1. No aircon. For us during spring it was perfect to just leave the window open but I think it might be quite hot in summer. 2. Small amount of road noise at night as the hotel is along the main road. We weren't too fussed. 3. Beds were veryyyy soft, but overall clean sheets and comfy pillow. 4. There was a single incident where one of the towels had blood stains on it... I think it's just a once off but I felt at least a bit of urgency to replace it and an apology about the situation might have been appreciated. Instead I was left freezing in the toilet while my partner waited 10mins to get a new towel from the receptionist who was attending to others. 5. Staff are courteous but there was a single older lady who was grouchy every single day she was working...

The location of this hotel is perfection if you want to take excursions or just move around the area easily. It is right across the street from the bus depot and just down the street from the Grindelwald main train station (aka Grindlewald Dorf) where we had arrived. In the morning, we walked to the Grindelwald Terminal in about 15-20 minutes (alternatively you can also take the Bus #121) and caught the Eiger Express cable car to join up with the cogwheel train to Jungfraujoch. It was all so easy! We also liked our room, which was small but had a mountain view and balcony. We had booked it after a last-minute cancellation so we felt lucky to have such a pleasant room. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good, I'd say it was my favorite breakfast we had in Switzerland. We also tried the hotel restaurant for dinner, and were quite pleased with our meals there as well. I think my favorite part was the staff, though. The restaurant staff was so nice to us when we arrived five minutes before our dinner reservation, hot and sweaty after a train issue in Germany had delayed our journey. They let us push back our reservation to check in and clean up, to have a more relaxing and comfortable meal. And don't even get me started about Luka, who checked us in. He's amazing! We had a lovely chat with him, and expressed concerns about the availability in the morning of luggage lockers at Grindelwald Terminal. (We thought they might all be in use.) Luka told us if we found them to be full, to call the hotel reception and he would hop in his car and come pick them up to put in the hotel's storage room. What a sweetheart. He really made us feel welcome and taken care of. It was a wonderful introduction to Grindelwald on our first day in Switzerland on this trip.

This hotel was outstanding and had a nice home-like feel. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the view of the Alps from the balcony was incredible. Mini frig and safe in the room was a nice touch. The complimentary breakfast was tasty and varied, and also came with a great view. We ate 2 dinners at the hotel restaurant, and everyone in our group of 11 were very pleased with the quality of the food and drink. Easy to walk through the town for shopping, food, drinks. We travelled by train and the train station was a 3-minute easy walk - super convenient! Note: for those not able to walk up stairs, enter through the hotel's restaurant door to reach the elevator located in the back of the restaurant.

Nothing - it was a great stay!

the property was walking distance to the grindelwald station(note that this station is difderent from grindelwald terminal station).. if you arrive late st night then this hotel would be a problem because its just like 1 minute away the apartment suite is spacious and it has a kettle, basic kitchen utensils - spoon fork plate etc

for our first night, we stated at the apartment suite at the back of the hotel ( top floor was a little bit creepy because there as no light from elevator to the hallway to the end of our room) there was also a smell in the air when we opened the windows---animal poop smell but i could not see any animals nearby the next morning so we wondered where that smell came from.

We stayed in their apartment, which allows us to cook rather than their hotel rooms. The apartment requires a bit outdoor to be reached, but the location is very close to its hotel. But, the walk is outdoor and there are only stairs. If you have heavy luggage, you need to be aware. The location is also convenient and close to the train station, jungfrau station, and coop. The staff is friendly and responds very promptly. We turned on many things that blew the fuse. We didn't expect that, and it did catch us off guard a bit. The staff said the building is old and it happens sometimes. So, if you book the apartment and when it happens, there is no need to panic. The staff can fix it in a minute. Free kitchen utensils can be borrowed, and shampoo and body wash are provided, too. Breakfast is included. It is buffet style, and the basics are provided.

Everything about our stay was exceptional! We had a balcony with mountain views. The meal in the restaurant we had for dinner was delicious. The breakfast had hot options as well as ample choices.

I wish I had booked more nights at this hotel.

The location was perfect to us, less than 100 meters from the train station, and also the Coop. The city buses were just across street. The breakfast was good. We were given a spacious room with a mountain view, which we loved. We wish we used the bus lines for the nearby attractions but noticed two main ones were closed after Oct 20. Overall we liked this hotel and will have no problem coming back in the future.

Well, not sure I should put in the dislikes, but the central heating made the room really warm. We had to open the bathroom window to cool off a bit in the night. The staff offered to help in the second night but we decided to manage it ourselves. Then on the last night of our stay, I caught cold not realizing the maid left another window open after cleaning the room during the day. Again no complaint here but a note to the future guests.

Clean, comfortable hotel with friendly & helpful staff, good breakfast included. Easy very short walk to the train station and bus station. We stayed in a Family Room (2 bedrooms connected by a shared bath with toilet/shower). Each bedroom had it's own sink and vanity area with a mirror. This set-up worked well. Having a room safe & mini frig was nice. Incredible views of the Alps from the balcony! An amazing stay, highly recommend Hotel Central Wolter!

Coffee and water available in reception area would be nice, but not a game-changer.

I have stayed here 5 times over the last 3 years and this is my favorite place in Grindewald. Location is perfect. It is situated directly across from the train station and main bus terminal. You are provided a free bus pass so you can travel anywhere in the area for free. The breakfast is flavorful and has a lot of variety

The Wifi is fast but the sign-in process can be tricky on some devices. The breakfast is good but the food choices do not changes from day-to-day. The rooms were recently renovated and the lights were changed to either all on or all off,,, so if you want just a little light you have to use the bathroom light.
