Location was great. Very close to the bus stop and train station. The views from the balcony were amazing. The young gentleman staffing the reception in the afternoons and evenings was very helpful and friendly. Staff are great. Thank you and would happily stay again.

Having to go downstairs for hot water due to no facilities in the room. However, it wasn’t too much of a problem. I found the breakfast limited and basic, even for a continental breakfast. The first night we struggled with breathing in the room due to the dry environment and weird stuffy feel in the room. We kept the windows open during the night which helped. Very flat pillow and only one pillow.

I love love love our stay here. the hotel has this big window overlooking beautiful snowy mountains. We were very lucky to have gotten that room! The room was clean, enough space for me and my daughter. It's 7-10 mins walk to the grindelwald station. We went during winter and had 2 large suitcases with us. Due to snow, i booked a transport to the station directly from hotel at only CHF10. The breakfast was really good too. Could've been nicer if each room is equipped with kettle heater to boil water. You can find them in the lobby which was not a problem at all.

I didn't really like the staff that helped us with check in. What they sent in the app message vs what they told me when we got there at around 10pm was completely 2 different thing. The hotel has 2 separate buildings opposite of each other, and i went to the other one (not the main reception), because they told me they will leave an envelope with direction for checking in. I was already very exhausted from dragging 2 large suitcases with a toddler in the snowy day to the place because there was no taxi around as it was late in the winter, and the hotel couldn't arrange pick up after 8pm. I came across a staff and she had a bit of attitude. She helped us checked in. Only that, the rest of the staff were lovely and helpful.

I loved the view and the practicality of the hotel. You can hear the sound of the bells of the cows when you open the terrace door and the view was so amazing. In the room, you can find a lot of outlets which is so convenient and also in the resto there are outlets beside the tables. They provide water and water heater upon entry of the building which was useful if you wish to make your own hot drink. Breakfast was decent and the resto feels new. The food was arranged so appetizing for the eyes too. Personnel were also nice especially the gentleman who made us decaf coffee. Definitely worth to come back.

The best location in the town, unbelievable views we will never forget. Beds very comfortable, chairs and table on balcony to take in the view. Breakfast across the road in sister hotel, which was an extremely pretty building.

It's not a pretty building I'd go so far to say it's a blot on the landscape. We paid over the odds for the location and view which didn't disappoint. The shower was very awkward, it's one in a bath but only had one position and that was pointing straight at you. A simple bar of soap and a sachet of shampoo did not reflect the cost of the stay. Kettle and water were available in the lobby but no tea bags or coffee. On last day we had a picnic at the tables outside sister hotel but had to buy a drink to do so. Having said that we still had a fantastic holiday.

The breakfast was fresh, with an adequate and satisfying selection of meats, cheeses, yogurt, bread, museli, rice, cucumber, tomato, fruit/fruit salad, and hard boiled eggs. The coffee maker made good cappuccino, espresso, etc (much better than an American hotel). Even thought the breakfast wasn’t fancy, it was fresh tasting, and gave us the energy for the Rotstock via ferrata, and solid hike afterwards. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. There was free parking :). My partner and I were pleased and would recommend it.

We would have loved a mosquito net over the windows so we could leave the windows open without letting in bugs at night, since we found the room too warm for us in the evening.

The room was amazing. We booked this pretty last minute and being summer we were very limited to the hotels available however this hotel exceeded all expectations. We had a triple room with a double bed and a single bed. The beds were VERY comfortable. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was more comprehensive then expected which was really nice! The defining feature of this room was the AMAZING balcony that looked right over the mountains. Sitting on the balcony was a highlight!

The room was all we needed for a short stay. It was a little bit small but more than fine for a place like Grindelwald where you are often out and about doing activities. The biggest issue was the lack of aircon or fans which meant that on a hot summer night we had to keep the door open which then let smoke and noise in from the other balconies. A bedside fan or aircon would have been appreciated but nevertheless it was a great stay!

The location, staff, breakfast and room itself were all amazing. We woke up to a spectacular view of the mountains and hills from the patio. The staff was very helpful; we arrived around 23:00 and they communicated a lot beforehand and were able to leave our keys along with a printout with a lot of useful information. The beds were very comfortable and the room was a nice size. Breakfast is included in the stay and was very good; including yogurt, granola, cheese, cold cuts, rice, boiled eggs, coffee and tea to name a few items. Nicole at reception was AMAZING! She was very friendly, knowledgeable and gave us a lot of recommendations of things to do in the area. The location was close to the train station, bus stop and about a 15 minute walk from the gondola up to Grindelwald First. Would highly recommend this hotel!

The amazing, amazing views, the friendly and helpful staff, cleanliness, location. Everything was great, we loved our stay.

Not so much of a 'not like', but if I had to pick something as a slight inconvenience, the reception is in the other building, which means in winters even if you have to ask for a spoon or cup, you would have to cross the street and get what you want from the main hotel building. I was aware about it, so no complaints as such but just something to make fellow travellers aware of! :)

The hotel is located in Grindelwald's main road, 7min from the main station and around 10-15min from restaurants and a market. It is also located 20min by foot from Grindelwald Terminal where we could take the cable car to Jungfrau. The staff was super kind and helpful and the breakfast buffet was delicious. They also have a transportation option to the train station for when you have lugagge and don't want to go up the hill with it. Also, the room had a spectacular view of the Eiger!

I love a little place that over delivers. Lovely little chalet style room and in our opinion, much better than the actual lodge, as it sits on the valley side, so there is no road and traffic spoiling your incredible view. The inexpensive cocktails came with nuts and the continental breakfast was generous with all kinds of options. They also have a ‘kettle and mug’ station in the communal reception in the annex. Well done!
