For a hostel, an amazing buffet breakfast! Fresh ingedrients and much choice. Staff were very helpful and kind.

I can only tell from the room I was in, but the doormitory was not that great. Hardly any ventilation with smelly hiking shoes and sweat being prevalent. The top bed had no protection barrier from falling and was almost against the ceiling.

Clean, close to bus station. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Toilets were on same floor, hair dryer was available in shower rooms for use.

The breakfast could’ve had a little more of a selection and our beds were not made not sure if it’s bc it’s suppose to be a hostel or maybe I missed the memo however trash was taken out every day. No smart tv. We were not able to connect our phones to tv :( So We were stuck watching German shows. We do not speak it. For the cost of the room you would think tv would be updated. But if that’s not a deal breaker for you. Book the room!

It is technically just next to the Grindelwald Terminal. The view from the premise is stunning. The breakfast was fantastic, including varieties of breads, spreads, yogurts, cheeses, cereals, juices, milk, etc. the front desk was very helpful and informative. You will get a guest card after Check-in which you can use for local buses (boarding at Grindelwald terminal). In less than 10 min, you will reach Grindelwald town or Grindelwald First. There is a supermarket in the Grindelwald terminal which is convenient . There is a common dining area in Eiger Lodge where there is a microwave and fridge and some cutleries which guests can use. The shared bathroom is clean and shower gel is provided. Towels are available for a fee.

I especially liked the versatile and plentiful breakfast with both fresh fruits, eggs, local cheese and ham. Good value for the money. The staff was helpful and super nice. The location close to the train and lifts was great for exploring the surroundings and do some hiking in the area. The room was clean and common areas cleaned daily. The dormitory I stayed in had plenty of space and a lockable cupboard (with a returnable 5 frang coin).

The communal showers were dark and dingy, not inviting at all. Luckily, there are also women's (and men's) separate showers that were in a better shape.

Alight at Grindelwald Terminal Station (one stop before Grindelwald Station). Go through walkway pass Coops supermarket then down to the Lodge. You have to adjust your expectation if you book this affordable, centrally located accommodation . It is like staying in army barrack where we share 2 single beds with one double decker bed along with 4 cabinet. There is one sink in the room. To bathe or go toilet , you have to walk all the way to basement where male and female shower room and toilet located. You have to ask for towers when you check in at reception. Simple breakfast is provided. What is amazing is that everyone is helping the staff clear the table after their meal.

This lodge might not be suitable for family with small children or handicap .

Breakfast was exceptional and the location could not have been better. Walkable access to multiple gondolas, the train and shops/restaurants. The staff was super friendly and helpful in giving us pointers on where to go with my family (ranging from 8-73 years old!). It was convenient to have a sink in the room as well. Restaurant on site for dinner also showed the EURO cup game- bonus points!

Having the bathrooms and showers downstairs was a little tricky because we were traveling with kids. Made middle of the night bathroom trips a little rough- but not a huge deal.

- Great location: right next to Grindelwald Terminal, where you can get the train to Interlaken etc; and cable cars to Männlichen, Eiger Glacier, Jungfraujoch, etc. The walk to Grindelwald Town Centre takes ~15 minutes, although it IS a steep (but nice!) walk! - Free breakfast!! - Comfortable beds (no squeaking) in fairly spacious rooms. My partner and I stayed in a mixed dorm with 4 others. The room was full while we were there, but it never felt cramped.

Nothing - it exceeded our expectations

The room had a view of the Eiger mountain... Whole area was really clean including the washrooms and showers. The bar is also good though it is only open till 10pm. It was really convenient to reach here just get off at Grindelwald Terminal (one stop before Bahnhof) and then it's a 5 mins walk. You also get a Grindelwald city pass with which you can travel in the bus without any cost.

Nothing really... Maybe more toilets on the first floor? There was only one on the first floor (or I could find only one). Usually I had to go in the basement area to use the toilet. Oh and one of the bedside lamps was not working. But no major issues. Really a lovely place to stay.

I liked the location but just know you have to get off at grindelwald terminal station and not grindelwald. The view is beautiful but there is really no bad view in the town. The rooms are spacious for being in europe

There was so much noise people are so loud and do t have a sense that people are trying to sleep. It was midnight and I couldn't sleep. The hotel has a quiet time after 10pm but there is no staff at night to enforce it. And of course shared showers and restrooms is not fun

Breakfast was extensive & plentiful. Apples & coffee were available to help yourself throughout the day. The Bar & Grill next door had good dinners & drinks at reasonable prices. Eiger Lodge has a free billiards table & lots of lounge space. We were able to store our luggage both before check-in & after checkout. The location is right beside the train station & the Eiger Express gondola. The guest card offered local discounts & complimentary local bus travel. Although we had a double room with shared facilities, there was a hand basin in the room.

Bath towels were not supplied.
