Everything. It was cosy and welcoming. Close to the bus stop for either skiing at Terminal or First so you didn’t need to carry your skis far. The bed was super comfortable. The room was really clean and had everything so needed. I even had a balcony. The staff were all so lovely. Breakfast was so good. Proper fresh orange juice. Proper fresh fruit salad not tinned fruit salad. Lovely rolls and bread. Lovely selection of meats cheeses and jams. It was a sup Bern breakfast. I would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

The Hotel Cabana Grindelwald offers a truly breathtaking experience with its world-class views. The panorama of the mountains, including the iconic Eiger, feels close enough to touch, creating an immersive alpine atmosphere. The visibility of the mountain cable car and the magical mountain slopes adds to the scenic beauty. The staff's warm and friendly demeanor enhances the overall experience, as they're always ready to assist with any needs. The room size is well-proportioned, comfortably accommodating two people without feeling cramped.

The hotel's location presents some challenges. It's situated slightly away from the main street and positioned between two main train stations, requiring an uphill walk to reach the town center - a trek that can be quite tiring. Transportation to and from the hotel is limited to a single bus line, which runs only every 20-30 minutes. This infrequent service can be problematic, especially given the ease of confusing the bus direction. Extra caution is needed when using this bus, as it sometimes skips intermediate stops and goes straight to the last stop, potentially causing inconvenience for guests.

I loved the location as it was slightly down the hill from the main centre of Grindelwald and was easy to walk to walk to the train station or a bus stop. I loved little extra touches like free apples at reception, the better than normal continental breakfast, the use of the downstairs fridge, the use of a washing machine and dryer (unfortunately I didn’t know about this) and being able to buy a salad for the supermarket and have it for dinner in the garden. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The only negative was that, despite my room being very clean and comfortable, it was facing the street and was a little noisy with the trains. Mine was a single bed room.

Gorgeous old style family run hotel. Our room didn't have a view but we were able to sit outside in their garden and enjoy being in the mountains. However most rooms do have a view. Loved the little extra touches like the free apples at the front desk. Loved every minute of our 3 night stay there. So much to do around Grindelwald.

Rooms were well set out and comfortable. Location was perfect, walkable everywhere. Breakfast had lots of gluten free options and was very tasty, the breakfast staff were also very helpful. Great cooking facilities. Staff were also very helpful with recommendations of exploring the region, with little tips which made our days of exploring easy.

Do wish the room had a fridge for keeping drinks cold throughout the day.

Everything! The most wonderful hotel. The facilities were fantastic, the room so comfortable and cute with ample space. We had a ground floor room and loved sitting outside to admire the view, plus our 1 year old appreciated having some green space to play. The view was incredible. The staff were so friendly and helpful, plus the travel card to use the buses into the Main Street was a fantastic touch. We were here for Christmas and it was perfect.

Very hospitable small family run hotel. Excellent breakfast which you could take to your balcony as the mountain view rooms have a perfect view of the Eiger. Rooms are clean and we'll presented. The staff are excellent, warm and friendly and helpful.

We knew that there was no restaurant, but the walk in to Grindelwald is 15 min uphill walk and after a long day hiking, it's a bit of a drag. Bathrooms really need upgrading, very dated, slippy bath to take a shower... Very 70's. Otherwise this is a lovely hotel.

Great views with a lovely outdoor seating area overlooking the valley. Great location just a short walk from town with parking spots made everything very easy. Staff were all lovely from front desk to the lady doing breakfast. Rooms are small but have everything you need.

Had the most amazing view over the mountains - highly recommended to take a mountain view room. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and with plenty of storage space. The staff is super welcoming and helpful. Location is also ideal imo, less noisy and crowded than central Grindelwald but only a 5min walk from it.

The person on reception when I arrived (19/9/24) explained all the necessary information to me clearly and concisely, .The room was clean and comfortable.
