Everything! The staff were excellent, room was perfect for solo traveller, location was great, 10min walk to interlaken West or bus station close by. View from the room was unreal and loved the whole vibe of the chalet. Microwave and ice machine available to use as well as a vending machine. Probably has been my favourite accommodation.

The whole stay was amazing, the old authentic Swiss-decorated property made the experience extraordinary, 5 minutes walking from the Interlaken West station, and the staff was super cooperative and friendly. The breakfast is very good.

the bed mattress is a bit hard

This hotel offers a nice traditional chalet experience in a great location—close to the city centre, Interlaken West train station, and the ferry terminal. Our room was very basic with a small bathroom, but it had a beautiful view of the Alps and Jungfrau, which was a real highlight. Breakfast was simple but decent, served in a cosy breakfast room that added a nice touch of charm. Overall, it’s a no-frills place—nothing wow, but perfectly fine for a short stay in Interlaken.

During our stay there was a small hiccup with our room door not being fully closed after cleaning, but the staff were very apologetic and attentive once we mentioned it, which we appreciated.

Lovely traditional wooden Swiss chalet well located just outside the main Interlaken centre in Unterseen. As other reviewers have mentioned it is definitely an older building but we felt this brought a charm not seen in newer hotels. Our room was a family room split over 2 levels with a mezzanine, and was large and spacious with a fantastic view up towards the mountains. The staff were fantastic and really helpful - I injured my ankle in the mountains and they were so helpful in keeping a supply of ice packs coming! The lounge area next to the bar was nice and we used this area to play games in the evenings.

The rooms don’t have AC and can get quite hot, especially the upper mezzanine, but fans are provided which definitely helped. The breakfasting area is quite narrow too and can be busy in the mornings.

We loved our stay at Hotel Chalet Swiss. Although the rooms are a little bit dated, everything was clean and well looked after. The family room we stayed in had everything we needed and was spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect for getting in and out of Interlaken for restaurants and public transport. The staff at the hotel were so lovely and welcoming and did everything they could to help. Breakfast was varied and excellent. The bar area was beautiful and a nice spot for a drink in the evening. We found it was the perfect cosy little hotel for our short stay in Interlaken.

We found it to be a little bit dated but we found it quite traditionally charming. Other than that we enjoyed our stay immensely. If you were staying in the family room with young children, the stairs may be a bit tricky. There is no baby gate to stop children from getting up or down the stairs. Just something for people to consider for young families.

Swiss type of hotel, beautiful exterior and garden in front but not accessable. The breakfast are nice. The reception lady is kind and warm. Bed are comfy. Bus stop are literally in front of the hotel. Another line’s bus stop are 200m away too. I think this is pretty cheap compared to near the centre.

The balcony, we got the room at the building behind, 2nd floor, its not what i imagine (to stay at one of the room of what i look at the exterior) we got the balcony just looking at parking lot, some house and some sky. The people from parking lot can see thru I coming out from bathroom if i didnt pull the blinds.

AC in room, bath room is bright and current, has open space for put our luggage, toilet and shower are separate

breakfast was not included. hope toilet has a sink but not sure if it is standard in swiss or not

The room was big, had a great view and a big balcony. Easy walk to Ald Stadt and also bus stop and train station.

If you're a light sleeper you may have problems with the old, creaky wooden floors above.

This place is great. The location is right off the main road and has a bus stop outside. We stayed in room 343 and it's was great. The room was very large and had plenty of space with 2 chairs, a table for a nice sitting area.The view of the mountains was perfect. When we woke up, it was snowing, and it was beautiful. It melted later that day. The carpet is dated, but it was a spotless room. Dated items are part of the ambiance of an old charming hotel. The pillows were different..scrunchie..so we just asked for an extra set. The shower and tub were very big, and the water pressure and hot water were awesome (and I'm super picky about the pressure and hot water availability) better than any of the corporate hotels. The entire bathroom was very roomy. All the staff are wonderful and go out of their way to make your stay a nice one. The sauna room is amazing, and the bar/sitting area is very cozy. The breakfast was perfect with freshly made scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, bread, rolls, meats and cheeses. On the street corner is the best restaurant.. Restaurant Bern. A must try but reserve your table. If we come, we will definitely stay their again.

I loved that the hotel is a transformed old chalet, with the structure maintained. They still have the heating flues inside the walls, antique furniture, paintings and decor. Its a short walking distance from the railway station and town centre. But one can also take the bus to any major destination, the bus stop is right across the street. The view from the windows are stunning. The room was very clean and nice. There was a double bedroom with working desk and chair, wardrobe, TV and a small living room with sofa chairs, tea table and a tea cabinet. The bathroom was equipped with everything needed. The heating was just right. Floors, lights, linen were clean and great. The breakfast was very wholesome with several menu options. The reception staff were very polite, take extra care to help guests. There are good restaurants and pubs just 3 minutes walk from the chalet.

Everything was great, just a small suggestion as a well-wishing guest. The breakfast staff seemed to be keenly watching over for anyone to leave the table so that they can clean up after. I understand they have in mind cleanliness and prompt service, but sometimes being constantly watched on and repeated checking of the table can put guests off while they are eating.
