The location of the Aarburg Hotel is ideal for exploring Interlaken. It is close to the west train station and many restaurants. It is also very scenic as there is a river and bridge directly in front of it, and gorgeous views of the mountains. The breakfast was included and was delicious, and the cafe is very attractive. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is also a guest lounge with a sink, refrigerator and tables that can be used at any time by the guests.

An elevator would have been nice, but the staff was very helpful in assisting us with the luggage.

The cafe had a great ambience and style and the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel had a nice quiet guest lounge, for all guests to use with seating and complimentary tea and a fridge and microwave.

We work in holiday accommodation and could not understand at all why the rooms had no water drinking glasses. You had to collect one, each day, from the guest lounge. If you forgot to get one before bed you had to go down two floors from our room. The duvet cover on our bed had a raised brush finish pattern all round which was uncomfortable. Maybe it was a one off but I recommend changing it out and putting water glasses in the room.

Everything was perfect in the Aarburg Hotel. We were so lucky to have found this stay in Interlaken. It was just a 10 mins walk to the paragliding meetup point and around 5-10 mins walk from Interlaken west station. The room for 5 was very spacious for our family during the stay and I loved that it had a separating door for the 2 rooms which provided a little bit of privacy. The breakfast provided with the stay was excellent with make to order scrambled eggs (cafe standard and very good) and teas from loose leaves + cafe coffee! The croissants were my family’s choice every morning. The staff were very friendly and welcoming during our stay.

The only thing not that great was probably the soundproofing. Other than that, everything was perfect.

We were so pleased with our decision to stay here. We looked at a lot of hotels and this was everything we hoped for and more. Such a great location, overlooking the river and mountains, and a short walk alongside the river to Interlaken-OST train station. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed and the staff were very friendly and helpful, even showing us the webcams up in the mountains so we could work out what clothes we needed. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and they made us any drink we wished for. This is a lovely personal service. We arrived by car and actually just left it in the car park for our whole stay as we were close enough to everything we needed. When we come back to Interlaken we will look to stay here before anyone else.

couldn't find anything i didn't like - this place is delightful

The location was amazing, the rooms were clean and very comfortable! The food was wonderful, the cafe was fantastic! And they had a terrific Expresso Martini! You can tell the food is good because locals would come as well. And we had a beautiful view from our room! It was in a more quiet area which was very nice but within walking distance to both train stations (Interlaken West-8 mins and Interlaken East - 20 minute beautiful walk by the waterway). Th staff were fun, kind and made our time there even better!

Loved this place!!! The staff are so friendly. Breakfast was wonderful. The porch was so cozy and we used it every evening. Located right beside a river. Car parking was close by as well. Cafe and bar was great And they served the best coffee drinks. They have a lounge room available for guests that has a small frig and hot pot for drinks after the cafe closes. Rooms were very clean. Great restaurants very close by

Nothing at all. It is small, only 9 rooms. No elevator and steep stairs to keep in mind if you have ambulatory issues

Cosy hotel in lovely and convenient location, good sized room, great shower. Staff very friendly and helpful. Felt like home from home. Breakfast consisted of yoghurt and seeds or cereal, scrambled eggs, croissants or bread. There is an all day a la carte breakfast menu - good quality cooking. Highly recommended.

No lift, however there are only 2 floors and staff helped with our suitcases. I don't like plugging a hairdrier into a bathroom socket but there was no other socket close to a mirror. Maybe this is how the Swiss do it?

Location is close to the train station and an easy walk. The view from our room overlooking the river and mountains was gorgeous. The walk next to the river to Interlaken Ost station takes about 20 minutes and very scenic. The included breakfast was very good. Coffee was amazing as were the scrambled eggs! Lots of other breakfast items to choose from. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There isn’t an elevator, but they were willing to help with bringing up luggage.

The location right on the river was absolutely stunning - we loved the cafe on the first floor, too, and frequently enjoyed mocha lattes, some reading time, and conversation with the friendly baristas. A huge bonus is the cafe will make you your preferred coffee in the morning with your breakfast. Excellent coffee and a lovely place to stay in Interlaken! I would absolutely stay again if in the city. The baristas have excellent tips on where to eat in the city, too!

The bathrooms are on the smaller side, but that's to be expected in some of these old buildings.

My single bed room had just an amazing view. It was compact with a single bed and table/chair and storage rack, but met my needs of having a private bathroom as a solo traveler where I was out most of the time. Its a 500 meter walk from the Interlaken West , has restaurants and COOP at walking distance. The mattress and bedding was comfortable and had place to keep my suitcase. The breakfast spread was good as well and everyone in the team was helpful and took time out for recommendations and help you with plan suggestions. You had a lounge for hotel guest where you had a microwave , some cutlery and coffee/ Tea available with Kettle. ) No Induction cooktop though.

Only gap was there was no lift so would be a problem if you are travelling with a lot of luggage or with older people you have to may be mention to take it on the first floor. Staff did help with the luggage though.
