Location was good for the price with just a 20 minute walk to main centre. Views from room were amazing. Quiet location away from centre. Secure underground parking Use of guest fridges in breakfast room was a real lifesaver with high temperatures meaning we needed cool drinks. Price was really good compared to other places in Interlaken

No aircon in room.was a real negative as temperatures rose to 37 degrees when we were there...freaky weather I know but the fan just didn't help and we had some sleepless nights with overnight temps of 22 degrees + That's the only reason for the lower rating for comfort as the room and bed itself were good. Breakfast was very basic.

The staff are nice and helpful, location its accessibility to transport and the view outside is stunning and breakfast is good. We stayed for a night only. The luggage storage is a bonus if you arrive earlier than check in time and even after check out they allow you to leave your things so you can travel light to any destination in Switzerland. Thank you. ☺️

Our room is very clean apart from a bit of smell in the bathroom. We came at peak of summer it was very hot. Fan has been provided which is good but we open the window to get some fresh air just for a short period only as flies starts coming in the room.

Our stay in Interlaken was everything we had hoped for and more! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to assist us with our doubts and planning our daily activities—even offering support on a rainy day, which was really helpful. One of the highlights was the on-site fondue restaurant, named the “Fondue Villa.” It’s a cozy, charming spot that comes alive at night and offers a truly authentic Swiss dining experience. No need to go anywhere else—this was fondue heaven! The views from our room were absolutely breathtaking, adding to the magical atmosphere of our trip. To top it all off, the property also offers guests great discounts for many local attractions and activities. Everything about our stay was a perfect 10/10. We can’t wait to come back and experience it all over again!

This hostel is truly just fantastic - we were SO gutted we didn't get to stay longer. Better than other more 'popular' hostels in Interlaken and cheaper! We paid 172.20 AUD for two people for one night and it was soooooo worth it. The rooms were lovely the staff were wonderful and its above a fondu restaurant which you get discounts at from staying at the hostel! We had drinks down at the restaurant and they were at discounted prices. The view outside our window was divine, ask for a room that faces the street and you get a direct view of some mountains! Unfortunately didn't get to stay for breakfast due to an early flight but we will be back! Gorgeous courtyard and garden out the front too, can only imagine how wonderful the vibes are in summer! Its also close to town but about a 10-15 walk just outside. Easy to get into but great to be out of once you're done. You also get a card (like the other hostels) which gives you discounts to attractions and travel.

Truly nothing, the shower was small-ish and took a while to drain but I've found this is fairly stock standard in hostels, youre bound to get a blocked drain every now and then.

The place is very homey, all the staff are nice and friendly, great views!

The shower area could have been improved by putting more storage and shampoo bottles and soap shelves so we dont end up putting them on the shower floor

I loved staying here and extended my stay a few times. The hostel is in a great location, only a short walk to the train station where it’s only under an hours trip to any great hike in the area, the town centre for the cafes and restaurants and also Schülerbad which is a great swim spot on Thun Lake. The room was perfect, comfortable bed, lots of space and it’s was immaculate with a beautiful view of the mountains. The team were so friendly and helpful, and always greeted you warmly. After staying at a few hotels in Interlaken prior that we’re rather run down, I wish I had found this hostel sooner. Thanks for an incredible stay! Looking forward to coming back soon

This hostel is much friendlier than many hotels. We had a spacious double room (32) with a large private bathroom on upper floor of this huge old house with fabulous views of the Eiger and Jungfrau. The hostel has super friendly, helpful and hard working staff and is in a great quiet location an easy 15 minutes walk from Interlaken West railway station and Thun ferry quay. Interlaken West is less grand than Interlaken OST area ( where we saw a well dressed, middle aged American couple deliberately run off without paying for their drinks) but you can easily walk around the town from the hostel, or catch a bus. The accommodation prices are excellent for Switzerland where everything is more than double UK prices. After a really busy day and with the sun still shining we decided to eat in the garden and because we were staying there we got priority and had a brilliant ‘all you could eat’ cheese fondue with potatoes, bread, gherkins, little onions and pineapple for dipping. We could also bring our own wine but there were drinks available to buy. As this is a hostel it isn’t for those who aren’t willing to interact with other guests or don’t want to help out at check out by stripping your bed and putting bedding and towels in laundry basket at reception. Breakfast is included, it’s self service and has plenty to choose from. You get an Interlaken guest card on check in that gives you free travel on the buses -a direct bus (number 21) goes from the bus stop to the right of the hostel on the pother side of the road to train stations Ost and West. The city bus 105 goes from the same stop but not to Ost station. Don’t think that hostels are only for students- there was a great variety of people, all nationalities and ages with families and couples like us in our 60s.

Only downside was the pervasive smell of cheese from the fondues as you enter the building though it wasn’t noticeable in our room.

A large family room with a lovely wet room. We stayed 1 night as a stop off but could have stayed longer. Interlaken has lots to offer. Free local transport if you show your hostel card. It wasn't what I expected from a hostel. It wasn't basic at all, and breakfast was delicious. If you want to enjoy The Fondu Villa, book ahead as we couldn't get in.

The other guests were noisy/ loud music and our room was right by reception and backed on to the kitchen which was noisy until around 11. Not great with kids, but it is a hostel, not a hotel, so I guess that's the downside. It was only 1 night though.

This might be the nicest hostel I've ever stayed in - great continental breakfast with free coffee, loved the en-suite bathroom, and the beds were actually very comfy. Towels are provided free of charge as well. Friendly staff, very clean and lovely view around the property :)

Since I came outside of the season, it felt a little less social for those travelling solo. The fondue experience was also not available yet as they start serving it from April 1 only :( The place must be even more amazing when the season is on, but hey, peace and quiet was also nice!

The location is amazing, with views all around. Close to supermarkets, restaurants, train and metro stations. Staff were lovely and attentive. Cheese fondue on reception floor, very delicious. Yes a smell of cheese but once you are inside your room you don’t smell anything. Shower a bit small but worked around it. Breakfast was good, small selection but great to start the day with.

The mattress on the bed was very thin and uncomfortable. Could feel the base of the bed. Perhaps a full base rather than steel poles would be more suitable for a thin mattress.
