The Property is very easily accessible from Interlaken West as well as East. It is highly recommended that one takes a Taxi to the hotel when one has baggage to lug, since the nearest bus stop is 10-12 mins walk. On taxi you reach hotel in 4 mins at the doorstep. We were received at Reception by Mattias, a very pleasant and friendly gentleman. In fact the entire staff at the hotel were very friendly and welcoming. We were given a room with a wonderful view of the sprawling country side and Mt Moonch and Jungfrau snow clad mountains.. we simply loved the view as well as the hotel

The room was small in size and we had lots of luggage. So it felt a little cramped up.

Such a beautiful hotel. The view from the room balcony was amazing, sitting out in the evening with a coffee and enjoying the view! The room was a good size, plenty of storage for clothes and items. Coffee machine and water jug provided. Loved the fact that they had sockets suitable for all so the international adaptor would work and they had USB sockets too! The staff were great and the breakfast was good too. They have a common kitchen space as well for guests to use with table and chairs and a microwave which was brilliant if you bring food back. Also has a washer and dryer and ironing board with iron to iron your clothes! It is truly a beautiful hotel to stay at!

Squeaky floor in room but it wasn't a big issue! Staff at breakfast were delaying in refilling some items even after being asked several times from different guests. It's about a 20 min walk from Interlaken West Station with about half of it being up hill on a country road, so just be aware of that.

The view, the breakfast were splendid. But the best thing for me were the staffs. They were amazing, helpful, prompt, and efficient from the get go. Be that suggestions for planning a trip, getting problems regarding the room sorted or any other queries. They really made us feel like we were staying in a home!

A slightly bigger room would have been better. But frankly, the view more than makes up for it. The hotel is a little difficult to access if you rely on public transports and you have family members who cannot walk with luggage. There is a 10- to 12-minute, slightly uphill walk to the hotel from the nearest bus station. If you have a car, then do not worry at all, there are plenty of parking spots available.

Breakfast was g8 with g8 views sitting outside. I loved the mountain views.

Dinner offered in restaurant at night, need more variety and a fridge in the room would of been good.

The property was in an amazing location, only a 20 minute walk from either Interlaken West or Wilderswill train stations, with beautiful views on the walk too! The rooms face the mountains and it was an amazing view to wake up to! The staff were so amazingly friendly and helpful! The rooms were really really clean too! The restaurant wasn’t open whilst we stayed (end of March) but that’s only because it was the off season! 100% recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a beautiful and affordable hotel close to all amenities (30 min train from Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen) with a warm and friendly staff!

Nothing! Literally the only thing I can think off is the bathrooms have bar soap rather than liquid soap, but that’s just on personal preference!

Staff were fantastic age very helpful. Breakfast was great and even included scrambled eggs. Our room was at the end of the building and had a window and little balcony with views of the mountains and trees, which was lovely!

It was a bit noisy at times from the room above as the floor boards creaked when the people walked around. No public transport close to the hotel meant walking with luggage up a road, with a bit of an incline, without a footpath for around 10 minutes. Without luggage the walk was okay.

We booked an apartment, it was really spacious clean and convenient. The hotel staff was very helpful. It was perfect for a 4 day stay since we cook and wash our clothes in the apartment we booked. The views were amazing too. Special mention to all the hotel staff who were incredibly sweet and helpful

The 15 min walk from the station to the hotel specially with luggage but it is worth it when you check in and see the beautiful apartment

We were really pleased with our stay at the Waldhotel Unspunnen,Great Value Hotel, with friendly reception staff who are always willing to help .The service at the free breakfast was amazing,we even extended our stay.Owner was so helpful, On our last day we couldn't get the taxi to the train station due bad weather conditions and we were getting late to catch our train, the owner offered us a free ride to the train station and we made it on time. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future. Highly recommend!!

Place very quiet and comfy ; staff very kind and helpful

A little bit far from the city center of Interlaken

The old charm of the building. Staffs were all friendly and greets you each time you come and go and ask about your activities for the day. This was the only hotel out of the five hotels we stayed at during our trip to acknowledge that we were on our honeymoon. Although they were not able to provide our room early, they still gave us a complimentary welcome drink of our choice. They are all helpful in giving suggesrions on what to do or see. The room was so spacious and also provided us with extra pillows upon request. Our room had a balcony with great views of the alps and can even see Jungfrau on a clear sky. Views are breathtaking.

The hotel is a 15-20mins walk uphill after the bus stop. There is no shuttle or bus that goes to the hotel directly. So its quite a walk up and down each time. Especially with luggages. Other than that we have no complaints.
