what a fantastic building, and the location....just wow!!!!! the food was very good, both breakfast and evening meals there was plenty of choice. staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. the room was adequate, very clean and well appointed, but as it was 30+c for the duration of our trip (during the day) the lack of A/C was unwelcome, there was a fan in the room, and this did help, but during hot periods, and after been out touring all day, the lack of A/C was an issue.

Lack of A/C... that's all, the hotel was amazing and i would certainly recommend it or stay there again if in the area.

Breakfast was excellent, the taste and diversity were great. Glad it was included! Location of bus station was pretty close. Only problem we had in the 1st day when we were walking from train station to hotel with our luggage. For some reason we were not informed about the bus that we should take from train. Was not easy to Walt uphill with baggage. Another good thing - in advance inform staff about problem with husband’s knee and asked about possibility to reserve a room on the 1st floor. Request was satisfied and we were happy with this. Everyone were very friendly!

No fridge in the room. Initially Was not clearly informed how to get to hotel using the bus from station.

Bathroom was not that clean lots of hair from previous guests on the door and wall of the bathroom. Rest was fine.

A wonderful old hotel at the heart of the community . The staff were outstanding , they went way beyond what was expected to help us . Our e-bikes were stored safely undercover. Breakfast was very satisfying.

The hotel decor is a little dated and is reflectex in the price however the personality of the building and staff out shone this this negative and our room was very clean and comfortable.

This hotel packs in a lot of history. It has been at this location for about 300 years! Check out the old photo in the restaurant. The exterior is well maintained. Room was adequate and clean. They provided a fan in the room. Breakfast was great, lots of selections and the fresh butter was cherry on the top!

Hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the train station. If you are walking with luggage it might not be easy. Take the bus instead! There was a fly in the breakfast area.

Hotel location was very good with easy access to tourist areas such as Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the cashier, Salim, who was very kind to us.

Unfortunately, hotel didn’t have any conditioning system and we were provided with a little fan which couldn’t do much in hot days,so we had to leave the windows open and tolerate the noise which was coming from hotel outdoor restaurant until late.Another down side was not having a fridge in the room which could have been very helpful in hot days. Also,hotel parking is not free for hotel customers.

The location of the hotel is amazing, the authentication of the hotel was amazing as you really feel that you are in an historical place, stuff are very friendly & supportive specially the reception guys, Selim and Dominika, they offer me too many good places to visit with a proper plan

I did not know that there is no Elevator, so I had to carry my bag till third floor as there is no one who could support you like in other hotels which I visited around the world, this they should consider to hire some stuff to support in carrying bags specially for whom cant carry the bags.

Loved the building. The location. The staff. Breakfast. Dinner. Loved that there were passes given to us to use for the public transport (bus stop just up the road). Some of the rooms are a little dated, but I think it adds to the charm. We stayed here over Christmas and it was decorated like a hallmark movie. Thanks for an amazing stay.

The only thing was the rooms weren’t very sound proof.

Great breakfast and dinners. The food was excellent in a large traditional dining room. All the staff were very polite and helpful and really made our stay so enjoyable. Easy parking and access to the hotel with our numerous bags The room was old world but comfortable with tea making facilities not found in most European small hotels.
