Everything was great: the amenities, cleanliness, comfort, reception, location, but I advise you not to book through Booking.com because there has been a breach in their site. I was contacted through their app about the necessity to pay for the hotel immediately or my reservation in this wonderful hotel would be canceled. The amount was deducted twice, and when I contacted the hotel, they confirmed that they cannot withdraw the amount from us and that Booking.com is the intermediary who can do that. I informed Booking.com and submitted the necessary documents, but they have not refunded the amount yet, and it is clear that they do not intend to.

The hotel was very posh and classy. Great ambience and settings. Very comfortable and spacious rooms and I also had a balcony with some views towards the mountains. The check-in reception staff were excellent! Very welcoming and polite, thorough in their work and helpful.

A few of the restaurant staff members were slightly rude as they were in a rush. The breakfast selection is very basic - not intercontinental and also does not offer very much variety outside of the basic buffet.

Staff were all on the same page, friendly, personal and genuine. Melanie checked me in and remembered my first name throughout my stay. Breakfast was good. Only downside was the coffee was in short supply; in mini cups, and the machine a little difficult to use. I need a large coffee every morning to start the day! Room was spot on, nice big bath. Free stuff in the mini bar, nice balcony, comfy bed. Room was perfect temperature. A little noisy outside the room early in the morning with staff moving about but nothing major. Bar was decent, with good selection of gins. Forgot his name but the South African server was very pleasant. Check in and Check out is very advanced, all online etc. Not really seen it at that level before so was impressed to see my final bill online at breakfast time where I could pay it online. For anyone wanting to watch sport, the Spinne Espresso bar over the road from this hotel shows lots of sport if you just ask.

The view from the room's balcony was breathtaking of the Eiger moutain and the mountains surrounding it. The location was in the middle of the town of Grindelwald so lots of accessible small stores and restaurants. The room itself was on the small side but the view made up for it. Staff were very helpful, friendly and nice. We wanted to stay an extra day and they were very helpful. Despite not being able to stay in our original room we had had for 3 nights they did find another room and instructed us to just pack our bags and leave them in the room and they would take care of moving them for us. After a long day of being gone sight seeing we wondered how the room switch would work out and just as they said they had moved all of our belongings. We were quite impressed. Breakfast was included with our room and it was excellent. Wide variety of food selections to eat with fresh fruit and a variety of juices, pastries and muesli. The breakfast wait staff were very cheerful. The restaurant had food for everyone with an amazing coffee machine. So overall I would say the room was amazing, the attached restaurant was wonderful and the location was fantastic. Even had a shuttle to bring us to the train in the morning.

Our room was on the main street which one night it was very noisy because of a cricket match showing on T.V. at the local sports bar across the street from our room. If you are noise sensitive you may not like it. The rest of the nights were fine. They had a laundry room but the hours of 9 to 9pm didn't accommodate those of us who wanted to go on early morning trips until we got back typically at 8 or 8:30 especially since the sun was up so late. Longer hours or 24 hours would be more convenient. There was a problem with flies in the restaurant due to the windows being open. Not sure what they can do about that.

Outlook interiors the interactive touch screen TV that help you with the live web cam views weather and other relevant information about Grindelwald. I loved the EIGER ice tea as well. Thanks for the complementary drinks. One of the best buffet breakfast I have had. Thanks for the evening tea coffee cake with that spectacular view of the Eiger Ranges.

Just bit spread out property with a bit complex ways to reach your room. You need to change 2 lifts and still climb few stairs. Can be tough if you have more than 2 suitcases

Location - absolutely perfect , 5 minutes from the town station, plenty of shops along the way. With a co-op just down the road which was ideal for drinks and snacks for the day out Staff - incredible friendly , always happy to help, provided me with the correct charger , offered me a breakfast box as I was leaving the hotel before breakfast begun, offered to put the spa on early for me on my last day. The staff in this hotel are nothing short of amazing , forever smiling, always happy to assist and make the stay welcome Hotel - very clean and tidy, room was a single room, very modern and everything I needed Would definitely stay here again

Location is fantastic, our mountain view room overlooks 3 major peaks in grindelwald. The room comes with a filled mini bar with water beer and juice that is refilled daily, a great addition to the room. The facilities in the room felt very new and the cabin details made it feel very cozy. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the free breakfast quality was great for hotel breakfast buffet that never ran out of food.

The only downside is that the bed got very warm throughout the evening, and there’s no air circulation in the room unless you open the balcony door

We loved this hotel! It's one of the best we have ever been to! It's luxurious, and authentic, with beautiful mountain views, an amazing spa, and delicious breakfast. The Rooms are spacious and have a lot of room for your stuff, the hotel itself is big and has so much to offer: gym, group training, restaurant with very delicious Swiss food, lounge area, bar and many more. We were also delighted to find out that the parking lot cost was only 5 CHF per night [ after 40 euros in Zurich! ]. The staff is super friendly and helpful We recommend this hotel and wish we could stay there more.

the temprature of the water was not stable when having shower,probably many hotel guests had shower at the same time.didnt give so much attention as we enjoyed our stay:)

The location of this hotel was excellent providing fantastic views of the mountains and within walking distance of the train station! The breakfast selection was great and of the top quality! Customer service from all staff was very friendly and attentive

The only disappointment was the heat in the room which was too high and made sleep at night very uncomfortable! All radiators were off so we had no idea as to why it was so hot. We mentioned this to reception and was advised this would be investigated but did not hear back - also the pillow selection was limited - I need a large ‘tempur’ style firm foam pillow to provide neck support- the firm hemp seed pillow provided was too small and was too hard to provide the correct support , the large down pillows were too soft, even with on on top of each other ! We regrettably would be unable to stay again unless there were the correct type of pillow was available !
