We booked a last minute trip to Switzerland and decided to stay in Grindelwald for four nights. We found the hotel on booking.com and luckily there was availability. Our party had two adults and a 5 year old and the room we booked had an extra bed, lots of space and a beautiful view from only room the 4th floor. All of the staff we encountered were very hospitable and professional. From the moment we checked in, we were shown to our room by the friendly Mariella who later stopped by to offer us a little home made welcome treat. Patricia at the front desk was also lovely. Our room was tidied up daily which was appreciated and the facilities of the property were excellent. The swimming pool area was wonderful and the game room downstairs was well used. The restaurant was nice and the service we had daily by Manuel and Alen and the rest of the crew was excellent. Upon check out we were driven to the train station by Toze. We realized we had left something in the car and he returned to bring it to us which we were extremely grateful for.

We enjoyed all aspects of our stay

Since arrival, I've been greeted by the most friendly, helpful and great staff. Both at the reception and at their restaurant. The room and all of the facilities were super clean, very modern, spacious and comfortable. The location is very central (ca. 10m by walking from the station), yet not loud/crowded/busy. It's calm and pretty. Their wellness/pool area was great, it was clean and relaxing. The food at their restaurant surprised me positively - it was very delicious and they had great cuisine. Everything went super smoothly, and I can recommend the hotel to everyone!

I couldn't think of anything I'd have improved, really.

The hotel was nice. I liked the outside patio and flowers. The rooms were nicely decorated. The pool was nice too. The breakfast was delicious. Staff were very helpful.

No a/c. We were in room 480 on top floor and it was so very hot. The staff did deliver a fan but it didn’t help much. We opened windows but occasional bugs would get in. Don’t go in hot months unless you are okay with no a/c.

Welcoming staff, comfortable bed, beautiful view, central location

Breakfast choices were limited and staff working breakfast quite rude about you coming to breast at 9.30am when it finished at 10am. They pack up promptly at this time, not even able to make a cup of tea at 10.01am. We had a hybrid car that we wanted to charge, not able to do this. They had the charging stations but not working. Staff did try to fix this for us but unfortunately not able to be resolved. Spa facilities nice, clean, however spa not hot. Elevator also broke on our last day, so unfortunately had to carry our bags down from the top level for check out. Wasn’t a huge deal but slight inconvenience.

Caution for those who are sensitive to insects. There were quite a few winged insect stuck to the ceiling at night, which made me consider changing rooms. I ended up catching them with tissue paper.

The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful with ideas on places to visit, how to get there and what to expect. The location was perfect. Very accessible to everything. My room had a balcony and two other windows, all looking out the the mountains. I loved it. They provided a robe and slippers which was way more than what my expensive hotel in Zurich offered. They have an indoor pool, a hot tub, a sauna and an outdoor area to relax on a chaise lounge. They also offer a lot of outdoor seating for dining or cocktails. Breakfast buffet was really good and the staff was very attentive. They offer full dinner or a la carte. I had a chicken salad that was incredible. I thought it was a really great value for all that they offer.

The only thing I would have changed were the sheets. They were a bit on the rough side. Other than that, everything was great.

Great staff: easy to communicate any concerns or questions (I had a few about how to navigate the passes I had paid for) and they are very accommodating and very friendly. Breakfast: if paid for, is a great buffet breakfast. Salmon, Bacon, eggs, toast, cucumbers, tomato, and pineapple were my go to. You also had a selection of cheeses and fresh/dried fruit. I didn't end up using the sauna or get a massage, but it is there as an option after a good, long hike!

Though it was never advertised or promised, the room could've used a fridge.

The pool and spa are a cut above the average for this standard of hotel. The pool is quite large and the whirlpool and sauna are excellent. The set-menus at dinner are well prepared and enjoyable, and the portions are generous. The staff were very friendly and supplied our daughter with more when needed, and also with great desserts. The hotel is close to the railway station, the First-Bahn and very close to a ski-bus stop, so it is easy to get to the lifts.

We really enjoyed our stay at Park Hotel Schoenegg. Suzanna at the reception gave us very warm welcome and was always ready to assist us with our questions and needs. We really enjoyed the breakfast. There was a variety of breakfast options. Our favorites were the bread selection and the yogurts. The staff at breakfast provided good service. We used the facilities after a long day of hiking. We especially liked the sauna. We would definitely love to come back to stay next time we are in Grindelwald.

Location is right where you want to be with everything within a short walk - downtown, train station, bus stop steps away, even the gondola to Grindelwald First is right around the corner. The property has a little climb from the main street, but that gives you excellent views from the balcony. Outstanding breakfast.

Bigger room, bigger bed, but we made do just fine.
