The best thing about this hotel is its location. We had a balcony off of our room that had the most amazing view of spectacular mountains with a glacier across the way. We used three different means of getting to the hotel - an initial taxi, then walking back and forth to Grindelwald (which was somewhat arduous for 70 year olds), and then we discovered the bus, which was usually right on time and very convenient. The room was very comfortable. We ate in the dining room one night, and it was incredibly delicious. That dinner is one of my best memories of Switzerland. The breakfasts were also absolutely delicious; I was truly spoiled by being able to just walk downstairs and eat whatever I wanted for breakfast. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. The whole experience at Hotel Bodmi was wonderful!

The Hotel Staff was very helpful and competent with everything we requested, they were kind and welcoming and no task was too much for them to handle. Breakfast was plentiful and of good quality with many local products and very nice prepared. A la Carte Restaurant in the evening was also very delicious and well prepared. The Kitchen and Service are competent and professional. Rooms were clean and all the other areas in the hotel as well. The location of the Hotel is perfect, you can ski or snowboard down the slope to the Firstbahn and later come from the Firstbahn up to the hotel by Bus. The Jungfrau Region is amazing and the Bodmi Hotel completes this and makes you want to stay there forever.

We love Hotel Bodmi soooo much!! The location is 3 steps away from the Bodmi arena is perfect! For beginners who wants to try sledding or skiing, this is the perfect place for you! From renting ski or snowboard equipments, to enrolling in a ski school everything is here. You dont have to carry your ski to the bus going to your hotel. You can just go up to your room and leave them there. If you have kids, you can just sit down in one of the lounge chairs provided while watching them or you can have a drink or two in the bar of Hotel Bodmi. The rooms are nice and the view from the room is perfect! Will not get tired of waking up in the morning with the view in the balcony! The staff are so friendly! They know you and they are very warm and you can feel that they are really happy having you as a guest. I cant wait to go back to Hotel Bodmi!!

Breakfast was excellent, with options varying slightly each day, great variety. The location is superb, offering ski-in, ski-out access, so there’s no need to catch an early bus to reach the beginner slopes. They also offer a heated ski room, to store and dry your gear overnight and be ready for the next day’that is super helpful. The triple room was specious with a beautiful large balcony. The sauna amenities were also great, clean and very relaxing. The staff was fantastic, super friendly, great customer service, especially Kristine at the reception, who paid exceptional attention to detail to make our trip even more special every day and made all the difference for a positive experience.

The pillows could have been more comfortable, but overall, it was a fantastic stay.

View from our room was amazing. The part of town where the hotel is situated gave us a great view of the surrounding mountains. Staff was warm and welcoming. Breakfast buffet was great. Room was clean and spacious enough for two.

Getting to and from the hotel via car is a bit challenging at first. GPS directions are way off and put you on roads that are not supposed to be traveled by car. Welcome email tells you this, but the alternative directions provided aren’t clear enough for someone who isn’t familiar with the area. Once you figure out the correct path, it’s great. But there could be some better direction on how to reach the property initially.

Everything! The location - the ski school and the meet point, and the ski area was just at the front door of this hotel. The big party started at about 9:30am every morning and ended at about 4:30pm, and it came back to be quiet and peaceful. The room - the three-bedroom apartment was big and relaxing; views were amazing throughout windows and the large balcony. the kids loved this apartment. The staffs - hospitable, nice and helpful. Especially the front desk lady (I think her name is Martina), she was so kind and gave us so much help and information! The foods - all the foods we’ve tried in the hotel restaurant were delicious. A lot choices for breakfast and they had a little different menu every day; dinners were also amazing. The facilities - I really enjoyed their sauna room (with two goats next door lol) and the massage services. The place was new, clean, relaxing and private.

Nice location next to the slopes. You can ski in and out. Great staff: we had trouble with our rental car slipping in the snow with the snow sock that was provided, and they did all they could to help us find snow chains. Also, very friendly staff in the restaurant.

You definitively need snow tires or snow chains to get there by car, because if the steep slope on the road to get to the hotel. Also, the skiing area in front of the hotel is not connected to the other side of the valley, so you end up having to take two buses down to the main ski terminal -roughly 20-30 min each way.

Every aspect of this hotel was exceptional. From the friendly/helpful staff, clean/spacious/comfortable room, amazing options for the included breakfast, delicious food for the evening meal (which we reserved for two of the nights we were there), to the unbelievably gorgeous view of the north face of the Eiger and surrounding mountains (the included photo is just a portion of the view from our balcony)...we were blown away by out stay at Hotel Bodmi. We loved being a bit removed from the hustle and bustle of the Main Street through Grindelwald. The peace and quiet was just what we were looking for. I was hesitant about walking 'up the hill' from the train station/Main Street but found I was able to do it several times per day. It's steep but doable - even for this out-of-shape 60 year old. We also found that the bus was very reliable every half hour if we needed it. I can't thank Martina and the staff enough for making our stay at Hotel Bodmi and Grindelwald the highlight of our 2 weeks in Switzerland. PS...if you're at all tempted by the paraglides landing in the field right next to the hotel I recommend you DO IT! It also was a highlight of my trip and an item to check off my bucket list that I didn't even know was on it. (-:

The hotel is on top of the mountain with very beautiful and relaxing view. Our room has a balcony where you can see the cable cars going up and down Grindelwald First. You can also watch the paragliders from the balcony or from the nearby open field where they descend. We were given cold drinks and snacks upon check-in. The food in the restaurant were delicious and prices were reasonable. The breakfast buffet was one of the best spreads I’ve had during my trip. The hotel is reachable by bus or via a short hike from the town proper. Really friendly and helpful staff!

The bus only runs until a certain time. Something to take a note of if you are coming back late from sight-seeing.

It’s an ideal place for relaxation and enjoying the calm atmosphere. I highly recommend staying here for anyone looking for a special experience. A small note: there are two ways to reach the hotel, so it’s best to coordinate with reception to choose the best route. I will definitely be staying here again!
