The view from the room was absolutely breathtaking — direct, uninterrupted sights of the Eiger and the surrounding valley, just like a postcard. The location is peaceful and perfectly placed, with a nearby bus stop and a footpath leading to the train station. The room was clean, spacious, and cozy, with a comfy bed, good pillows (better than most hotels), and all essentials like a coffee machine, kettle, hair dryer, and safe — although no minibar. A nice surprise was the welcome packet of mixed nuts in the room — one of the most delicious we’ve had! Breakfast had a good variety and tasted great, definitely better than some other hotels we stayed at. The dinner at the hotel restaurant was lovely too — we had fondue, and the staff made the experience even better by explaining everything kindly. All staff were super friendly and welcoming, especially Lena at the reception, who made us feel right at home. Also appreciated the lunch packets for early excursions and the clear, easy-to-follow check-in instructions.

There’s really not much to complain about, but we did notice a few small things. A couple of flies were buzzing around the breakfast buffet area, which was a bit annoying. Also, now and then there was a countryside smell — likely from nearby grasslands and manure — though it’s understandable given the rural setting. A minibar in the room would’ve been a nice addition. Lastly, while the pillows were better than in most hotels we stayed at, we personally prefer much firmer ones — but that’s just a matter of preference.

The location was excellent; Grindelwald itself is quite busy and sees a lot of foot traffic - either heading to one of the cable car stations or the well used train station - Hotel Bodmi is far enough away to feel quieter and more isolated, but is close enough to have easy access to all the cool things Grindelwald has to offer. Breakfast was delicious - not my usual thing but the family and I LOVED the fluffy pancakes! Number one for this hotel is the staff though - Peter and Saskia were particularly welcoming and helpful during our stay.

It wasn't a big deal as I wasn't there for the WiFi, but after a day of hiking, it would have been nice to have WiFi strong enough to stream a movie on my iPad but it wasn't. Also, the pillows on the bed were a little bit flimsy, but I was provided with another couple so problem solved quickly!

The location is incredible. The view of the Wetterhorn, Schreckhorn and Eiger from the terrace is quite beautiful. Bodmi is away from the crowds yet close enough to the village. The building is picture perfect Switzerland and our room was spacious. However it was the staff who made our stay most memorable. From the moment we arrived at reception we were treated with a personal and informative service where nothing was too much trouble, especially by Saskia who also worked in the restaurant. In the evenings we mainly stayed on the property for drinks and dinner, having ventured into Grindelwald and having dined at arguably the best hotel, we decided that Bodmi was our preference. Peter the head waiter and bar man was very attentive, knowledgeable and really made our stay special, introducing us to a Swiss gin and making delicious menu suggestions. He could not have tried harder to make our experience enjoyable. The meals prepared by Gabo the sous chef were delicious both at dinner and breakfast where there was an array of choices. It was a pleasure to meet the staff and we very much hope to return.

The hallways were dark and the bathroom of older design. In our room the shower was over the bath tub and awkward to use.

The hospitality was amazing. Peter & the staff in the hotel were so pleasant & helpful in every way. The sauna was clean & top notch. Most of all, our kids enjoyed the goats - every morning and every evening. The scenery is beautiful (mountains, greenery.) The proximity to the cable cars, the town (you can walk or take a bus that stops less than 1 min from hotel) were super convenient. Many areas to hike, walk. & lastly the food - amazing, flavorful and worth every penny. The chef is the best. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Perfect location, right on the slope or 10min walk downhill from the Firstbahn, parking at the hotel. Best panoramic view from our room ever, Eiger and Wetterhorn view. Quite spacious room size, mountain view from the bed, small balcony with chairs to chill. Nice, tasty and plentiful breakfast selection, again with the great view. Dinner options were also good.

Communication issue during breakfast. The lady serving during the breakfast asked us if we plan to come for the dinner. We said yes and mentioned time. Once we arrived later that evening, nobody knew about our reservation. Good we got served anyway. The "dusty rose" colour of bathroom is a bit outdated.

The Hotel Staff was very helpful and competent with everything we requested, they were kind and welcoming and no task was too much for them to handle. Breakfast was plentiful and of good quality with many local products and very nice prepared. A la Carte Restaurant in the evening was also very delicious and well prepared. The Kitchen and Service are competent and professional. Rooms were clean and all the other areas in the hotel as well. The location of the Hotel is perfect, you can ski or snowboard down the slope to the Firstbahn and later come from the Firstbahn up to the hotel by Bus. The Jungfrau Region is amazing and the Bodmi Hotel completes this and makes you want to stay there forever.

We love Hotel Bodmi soooo much!! The location is 3 steps away from the Bodmi arena is perfect! For beginners who wants to try sledding or skiing, this is the perfect place for you! From renting ski or snowboard equipments, to enrolling in a ski school everything is here. You dont have to carry your ski to the bus going to your hotel. You can just go up to your room and leave them there. If you have kids, you can just sit down in one of the lounge chairs provided while watching them or you can have a drink or two in the bar of Hotel Bodmi. The rooms are nice and the view from the room is perfect! Will not get tired of waking up in the morning with the view in the balcony! The staff are so friendly! They know you and they are very warm and you can feel that they are really happy having you as a guest. I cant wait to go back to Hotel Bodmi!!

The best thing about this hotel is its location. We had a balcony off of our room that had the most amazing view of spectacular mountains with a glacier across the way. We used three different means of getting to the hotel - an initial taxi, then walking back and forth to Grindelwald (which was somewhat arduous for 70 year olds), and then we discovered the bus, which was usually right on time and very convenient. The room was very comfortable. We ate in the dining room one night, and it was incredibly delicious. That dinner is one of my best memories of Switzerland. The breakfasts were also absolutely delicious; I was truly spoiled by being able to just walk downstairs and eat whatever I wanted for breakfast. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. The whole experience at Hotel Bodmi was wonderful!

Everything was great.

Breakfast was excellent, with options varying slightly each day, great variety. The location is superb, offering ski-in, ski-out access, so there’s no need to catch an early bus to reach the beginner slopes. They also offer a heated ski room, to store and dry your gear overnight and be ready for the next day’that is super helpful. The triple room was specious with a beautiful large balcony. The sauna amenities were also great, clean and very relaxing. The staff was fantastic, super friendly, great customer service, especially Kristine at the reception, who paid exceptional attention to detail to make our trip even more special every day and made all the difference for a positive experience.

The pillows could have been more comfortable, but overall, it was a fantastic stay.

Everything! The location - the ski school and the meet point, and the ski area was just at the front door of this hotel. The big party started at about 9:30am every morning and ended at about 4:30pm, and it came back to be quiet and peaceful. The room - the three-bedroom apartment was big and relaxing; views were amazing throughout windows and the large balcony. the kids loved this apartment. The staffs - hospitable, nice and helpful. Especially the front desk lady (I think her name is Martina), she was so kind and gave us so much help and information! The foods - all the foods we’ve tried in the hotel restaurant were delicious. A lot choices for breakfast and they had a little different menu every day; dinners were also amazing. The facilities - I really enjoyed their sauna room (with two goats next door lol) and the massage services. The place was new, clean, relaxing and private.
