The location of Hotel Regina is unbeatable, just a stone-throw away from the station, very easily reachable. The view from the room was unbeatable, completely unobstructed in the direction of Jungfrau. There isn't a hotel with a better view in Wengen. The room was crisp clean, sufficiently spacious (I stayed in a single room), well equipped. The bed very comfortable. Cute little balcony facing the valley provided enough space to sit with a coffee and enjoy the unbeatable view.

The breakfast was underwhelming. Delivered on order, rather than buffet, which adds the unnecessary complication of having to ask for another coffee, a mini cake stand of pastries was delivered to the table without asking (consequently I wondered how many tables it has been to before), etc. I don't generally eat in the morning, so I ordered my breakfast on the first morning just out of curiosity, cold cuts & cheese. The cold cuts were nothing special, the slices of cheese looked rather dry on the edges. I've also observed rather unkind behavior of one of the waiters toward guests from diverse international backgrounds, while the waiter was saying all the right words, there was a massive difference in tone and attitude compared to when he was assisting Western guests.

The good parts about this Belle époque hotel: the common spaces, which are big, well-cared for and do indeed transport one back in time. It was a delight to have breakfast under dangling chandeliers, having food brought on silver platters, afternoon tea in the lobby, or a drink on the terrace. The service was quite attentive, and given the size of the hotel, one never felt over-crowded. We also used the sauna, which you can book for private use: a nice extra perk!

The actual room (we had a standart twin room) is not worthy of a 4-star hotel. Everything is too old/not recently renovated; from the furniture to the windows to the curtains to the shower. The latter, even if functional, could be out of a youth hostel. So if you're looking for modern comfort feeling, the rooms will be a little dissapointing.

The location and view is amazing, the hotel is very close to the train station, the staff were friendly, and even offered us help taking our luggage back to the train station. We also liked the breakfast very much, they offer you a list of different portions, and you can choose several items per your choice. The cheeses and bacon were great! Although other reviews stated that the rooms were quite old, it wasn't really noticeable in my opinion. The room was spacious which we appreciated, and we also had a balcony with an amazing view which was lovely.

There weren't many power outlets in the room, and the toilet didn't flush strongly enough. Reaching the hotel also requires quite the climb. It hasn't bothered us since we are young, but if you have mobility issues you should consider this.

We stayed in rooms 202 and 205. 202 was a corner room, with balcony. Nice and airy. 205 was a bit darker but also with a balcony. both opening towards Lauterbrunnen valley. 200s are still a bit low, so view is nice but blocked by trees. And these rooms decor is on the older side. Beds were comfortable, there was tea pot and coffee maker in the room. In our room, the heater did not work well, so we could make it cooler (we just opened the doors of the balcony). Staff was very nice (kuddos to Stacy, the other two servers, and receptionist from NL -forgot her name, that were super super friendly to us). Breakfast/dinner room is like an older ballroom, feels nice and fancy. Common area by the bar is large and comfortable to sit down if you don't want to stay in the room. They have a spa upstairs but we did not have the chance to use it or see it. Its a bit of a hill to go up from the train station (even if it is next door). if you are bringing lots of luggage, arrange with them for pick up. they were super nice and carried my mother in law down to the station in the little wagon!

At breakfast room, both days we were day the large coffee heaters they had did not work, so coffees were cold both days. My mother in law likes her coffee hot and we asked the server. She brought capuccinos on the house. Main heater in room 202 was not working, so you could not moderate temperature. Restroom in room 202 you had to flush many times so the toilet paper goes down.

The breakfast was good. The toaster used are of ancient technology and getting a toast is difficult

The hotel assists transport of luggage but has no Provision to transport guests from station. The entrance to hotel is a strep incline and for guests who have physical difficulty it is a big challenge. U saw several hotels transporting in appropriate vans or jeeps. I highlighted this to the manager. If it is raining then walk from station to hotel is very unsatisfactory

We stayed in a not very large room but the fantastic view from the balcony of the Jungfrau broadened our perspective so we felt great. The room hadn't been renovated for some time but was spotlessly clean with lovely fresh linen on a comfortable bed. Great location in Wengen, right next to the train station so access to all the places worth visiting in the region was very easy. Friendly staff and among them the most friendly, helpful and always smiling Michalina from the reception. Despite the proximity of the train station in the evenings and at night there was absolute silence so we could rest well.

The hotel is 3 minutes from the train station but pushing your luggage up the steep hill can be a challenge for some. We managed, so it was absolutely no problem for us. Head of waiters in the restaurant behaved bit strange. A bit like the guests were for him and not he for the guests. He corrected the strange behavior with a bit of artificial politeness. Younger employees much more friendly and helpful.

The hotel is right opposite to the wengen train station(hardly 50 mtrs walk)..the room is clean and offers stunning view.. they also have a library with good collection of books that can be picked up for read..

The breakfast is good but with limited options(eggs, milk, juice only)..the breakfast staff is not so courteous…

Regina is the best Hotel in Wengen. Having stayed at the hotel for 5 nights in June 2025 I can say that services are impeccable including the suites and the food. The location is perfect next to the station. What stands out the most is the outstanding service, attention to detail and the wonderful views. They upgraded us from the junior suite to the absolutely gorgeous suite for our entire stay without any charges.

We loved the beautiful views and the lovely downstairs areas. Breakfast was well managed in spite of countless tour groups coming through

The upstairs spaces and bedrooms were very tired looking and dated. The bathtub was narrow and dangerous to get into. There were very few plugs to charge phones. The wallpaper was peeling in our upgraded room

For its age, the property is very well maintained and it was a pleasure to stay there. The owners were present every day and I saw them engage with guests all the time which shows they are committed to their guests and their property. The staff were all wonderful and attentive from the front desk people, the restaurant servers, the bartender, and the porter. The included breakfast was great, the food at Jack’s Brasserie was delicious, and the views from our balconies were beautiful

The room got a little hot at times and the shower/tub could have used a bigger curtain as the one in place was only half the size of the tub.
