Strongly recommended stay in Braunbar, located in Wengen village. Wengen is a good place, silence and crowdless Braunbar is a relaxing place for you to enjoy Switzerland weather, regardless of sunny day or rainy day, the hotel make you relax. Good sauna, good pool with locker, in the room, with a big balcony view of mountains, with bath tub, nice bathroom, and with post card for guests, sweets. Very good breakfast, varieties of food, in well cooked, or english style, plenty of choices. One way to improve, coffee machine in the room is only with 2 capsules available, the unlimited one have to take from common area in lobby

Beautifully decorated throughout and a great lounge/bar space. Really loved the outdoor seating with bar service as well. Spa area is lovely and breakfast was good and varied. Great coffee! Our room was small, but totally worked for us with lots of shelves and hooks. Comfy beds and balcony with a view. Close to train station. Wengen is a very charming, walkable town. I had my eyes on a few other hotels in the surrounding towns and really happy that I chose to stay here.

Small shower and slippery shower floor

Everything. I travelled with my mum and we both absolutely loved it here. We shared a twin room and it was spacious, comfortable, clean, and modern. The hotel has good food, great facilities - bar, spa etc and the location is fantastic (really central) and the staff were wonderful. We really hope we can visit again. It also helps that Wengen itself is a really magical and charming place and just so beautiful. Having not visited Switzerland before we feel we were very fortunate finding this hotel and staying in this area.

There’s nothing we didn’t like. However being Vegan I would probably just request/ suggest a couple of minor things. Breakfast was lovely with the choice of baked beans and veggies such as mushrooms, tomatoes and hash browns. There was milk alternatives also. But it would be great if there was a vegan butter alternative to use for toast. And if there were maybe some vegan yogurts available.

Absolutely wow — I’d give it 11/10 if I could! This is by far one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The hotel offers fantastic amenities including a bar and restaurant, karaoke, and a kids’ room — there’s something for everyone. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We really appreciated the complimentary still and sparkling water — such a thoughtful and eco-friendly touch, especially in a region where restaurants often don’t serve tap water. On a few lucky mornings, there were also complimentary croissants and pastries — a delightful surprise! We stayed in a Classic room, which was extremely spacious and beautifully designed down to the smallest detail. Every aspect of the room felt high-end and well thought out — I absolutely loved it. Although it rained for a few days during our stay, we made the most of the pool, hammam, and sauna, which were perfect for unwinding in the cooler weather. This is a hotel I would return to in a heartbeat. If you’re considering it — don’t hesitate. Just book it!

Great location with stunning views. The daily breakfast is standard fair but all was delicious. We loved the sparkling water on tap in the lobby. The bar with pizzas was a welcome reprieve after outings all day. Shout out to the staff who are friendly and helpful. We left our luggage at the desk on our last day then did a grueling hike for 8 hours when we picked up our luggage they offered complimentary use of the showers in the spa facility to freshen up before traveling back to Zurich.

Great location. easy walk from train station. Staff very helpful. Room OK but think the deck outside was bigger than the room. But that is my choice in getting the cheaper type room. Deck was great with great views over the Lauterbrunnen valley. Has heated pool and spa which I didnt use but is a great asset. Very pleasant area. Breakfast was great, all sorts of choices (and free water).

No Facecloth, very few hotels now seem to supply a facecloth nowadays. Great Britain and Italy hotels the same. Already complained about ridiculous charge for water at the restaurant with dinner (8 times the cost of fuel locally) yet outside of restaurant by reception its free, go figure. Switzerland is expensive unfortunately.

Excellent breakfast. Beautiful location. Big, yet cosy room. It was a little colder than what we wanted, but when I told the staff at reception they sent up an extra electric heater.

Would have loved some additional meal options with the booking, we could only get breakfast. The hotel had a restaurant where you could dine, however.

Exceeded the expectations; "This hotel gave us no room to complain". The hotel is a classic one (wooden and carpet walls); beds are super comfy; rooms are well equipped with almost all modern facilities (hair dryers, kettles, etc). Bathrooms are super clean and well maintained; not to mention the excellent fittings, etc, that will make you realize you are not in an ordinary 4-star hotel. We had booked a family room and the hotel gave us a corner room (two views - Staubach falls and Jungfraujoch peak). And yes it is very near to the railway station, 3 to 5 mins walk (will feel nothing if you have trolley bags). Due to time constraints, we couldn't enjoy other facilities the hotel offerred like spa, swimming pools, etc

Beautiful room, smelled amazing (as did the whole hotel). Arrived hours before check in and were still able to get into our room and use the pool and spa facilities where we were practically alone. Robes and towels were provided. Our room had a balcony as well as a living room with two TVs so we could choose either the bed or a sofa to watch our movies with. The bathroom was beautiful and comfortable as well. The bed was also super comfortable. We only stayed one night so didn't use the bar or the hotel restaurant but both looked beautiful. There were books everywhere!

The room could have used a mini fridge for convenience however this did not significantly affect our stay.

Great location in beautiful Wengen. Spacious rooms - we loved the "living room/library" corner with the sofa and the TV. We also liked the kettle, coffee machine, etc. that were provided in the room. The beds were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent in terms of selection and quality. Staff were very helpful and friendly, with the young female bartender in particular going out of her way to provide us with the best possible experience. Another great plus of the hotel was the spa area. While it was quite small and simple, it was still a nice bonus on top of the overall great experience, especially as it was included for free with our booking. The view from the pool was amazing.

Unfortunately, the room we booked was facing the forest side instead of the mountain side, so the view from the room was not as good as we had hoped for. Furthermore, the shower wall only covered half the shower area, meaning you had to be careful not to splash water on the floor. For the spa area, the slippers we were provided with were not waterproof and also a bit slippery on the wet floor. Some of the locks of the showers were also broken. Also, when we were in the pool there were a lot of kids playing wildly and splashing water on us, so it was not as relaxing as we had hoped for. The breakfast area was also a bit crowded, so it was a bit hard to take food without bumping into people.
