I was pleasantly surprised with my visit to hotel Schutzen after reading earlier reviews. The staff were extremely helpful and the rooms had recently been renovated. I would definitely recommend this to anyone travelling to Lauterbrunnen.

Everything was more than I expected. The staff were really nice specially Mr Bayram was so helpful, nice and so welcoming that we plan to go there at least once every 5 weeks. We are already making plan for the next few weeks.

Everything was excellent. There is nothing that I can even think about improving.

The location and view are amazing. We ate breakfasts there as well, and they had great variety and were delicious (complete with an amazing coffee machine we adored and will miss greatly 😂). The staff were very kind and helpful. The decorations were fabulous. Very easy to find from train station and an easy walk with luggage.

The smoking and flies from the restaurant got into our room (the family balcony room) so we couldn’t leave windows or door open to let room cool off during the late afternoons, early evenings. The pillows and mattresses were very firm as well, which is just a difference in preference.

The staff who greeted us could not have been more warm or helpful. The place was immaculate, comfortable, AND we had a balcony on the Main Street and if we stuck out our heads just a bit, a view of the falls from the balcony. Even though the room was on the Main Street, we could shutter the doors and windows and it was quiet and dark and we still got sufficient air (in early June.) Breakfast was also good. Location cannot be better. Free, sufficient parking. I have no idea why this place has such a low rating on booking but it deserves much higher. I usually don’t stay in places with ratings below high 8’s but because Switzerland is so expensive I made an exception and I’m so glad I did. I was thrilled with the room. We had the queen, single, and bunk beds, with updated bathroom, which also functioned well.

I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a warm smile. Their hospitality truly made me feel welcome and at home. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the modern amenities one could ask for. The attention to detail in the room's design and comfort was evident, making it a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. Cleanliness is clearly a top priority at this hotel. Every corner of the room and common areas was spotless, which added to the overall sense of comfort and relaxation. The breakfast was a delightful highlight of my stay. The English breakfast offered was delicious, with fresh ingredient. It was the perfect way to start each day.

Generally I don't write reviews but to help community I am writing this. Location is excellent. many vloggers have videos taken just opposite the hotel as its good location. Restaurant is good a but pricey. We ate here and Hornerpub (2min walk. Good food and not pricey. Indian curry and rice is good+ other food as well) We are family of 4 from Uk and room was good but definitely bathroom needs improvement but its not bad to use now. Hotel has free parking.

Check-in staff will appear only at 4pm. Even if you reach hotel at 3 or 3.30pm you need to wait. there is no flexibility. I found this bit rude

Great location. Good sized rooms. Views were incredible. Safe. Good overall stay for the price.

Front desk only staffed during check-in hours and check-out hours, so if you need something at 2pm there's no one there. Very small shower, which was out of soap but we couldn't get it refilled, as there was no staff. Older building in general.

This hotel is located in a prime location in the heart of Lauterbrunnen. It has beautiful views of the waterfall and is close to the train station. The staff were really friendly and helpful and our room was lovely. The food was great and our daughter loved the easter decorations and the cow figurines in the restaurant, which we had to come back and check on each day. They are investing time and energy into the place, fixing it up so it will just keep getting better.

The bed was a little harder than I like but it was still just fine.

It's an excellent location to stay , staff are so friendly & cooperative we felt like our own family , edpecially the well respected gentleman sitting in office & reception, I forgot his name but so much friendly & cooperative , thanks a lot to you ( sorry I forgot your name ) Whenever I will get chance to stay in Switzerland it will be my first choice to pick this hotel , an excellent location , just 4minutes by walk we can reach on train station & bus stop , excellent view of hotel
