After reading recent reviews, I was initially concerned of what to expect for our stay. I felt it necessary to leave this review, as our stay was excellent. Check in and out were easy (through the restaurant staff), room was clean and views from the room were 11/10! We requested a waterfall view and it did not disappoint!! It is an older hotel in a small mountain town, so yes, there are some cracks in the walls, etc. that others have complained about, but these did not affect our stay in the slightest (and truthfully are to be expected in most of these older buildings in the area!). Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

Hotel Restaurant Jungfrau is a great place to stay if you're looking to experience the best of the Swiss Alps. The location is hard to beat. It's right in the heart of the village with stunning views of the mountains. You can step outside and immediately feel connected to the landscape. The restaurant downstairs is a real highlight. The food is well-prepared, with a good mix of local specialties and familiar options. It's nice to be able to enjoy a quality meal without having to leave the hotel, especially after a long day of hiking. The staff were consistently warm and helpful. They struck the right balance of being attentive without overdoing it and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was both comfortable and beautiful, with clean, cozy furnishings and everything we needed for a relaxed stay. The best part was the balcony. Sitting out there with a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine while taking in the view of the mountains was a real highlight. Overall, Hotel Restaurant Jungfrau delivers on both comfort and atmosphere, with a location and staff that make the experience feel special.

Our views were incredible, from the bathroom,the bedroom the balcony. Where ever you looked were spectacular views. The room was comfortable with tea and coffee facilities and the staff were very helpful when we asked for more milk and coffee sachets but the best part were the views. The location was very good.

The curtain had come off part of the rail with broken curtain hooks and the room was quite noisy, it sounded like furniture moving around. The balcony table need a good wipe from the last people who had stayed there with crumbs left all over the table.

The location is excellent, a few minutes walk from the train station, a supermarket, a water fountain and the Lauterbrunnen Dorf bus stop. We got a nice view on the waterfall. The room was clean.

It is written that the check-in time is from 16:00-20:00, we tried to contact the hotel on WhatsApp to inform them of our late arrival without success. They replied to our message on Booking after a few hours telling us that the keys are waiting for us. We were worried the whole time!! The keys were in an envelope with our name.

The location is perhaps one of the best in Lauterbrunnen. You get a 270deg view of the valley including the Staubbach fall right next to the hotel. The area is also busy with multiple restaurants. And you get sufficient number of parking spaces which is a luxury. The room was huge and sufficiently warm. There was no TV but why do you need a TV if you have such view ?

The facility doesnt provide breakfast even though it appeared in breakfast included. It is also a bit expensive but this is the running cost in the area, so I cant complain.

I would recommend the 2 bed 1 bath, as long as you don't mind others entering your room. Main bedroom has the bathroom, so all will go through your room.. I didn't mind, but could see some wanting privacy. Restaurant checked me in. Staff nice. Best view is from master window. Balcony nice, but trees are partially blocking view.

A little older, but very similar to all others in the town. Another room's balcony is outside kitchen window, and kitchen window has not curtains or blinds. I little awkward... do you make eye contact or ignore....

We booked a deluxe double room with a balcony. We had fantastic views and a comfy room. We arrived early so were able to find the last free spot in the parking place which was quite small. Overall a good choice! We stayed on the third floor and the absence of lift or the age of the building did not worry us at all. Would stay there again. A bit of advice: be sure to bring a power adapter with you as the reception does not have enough of those to lend out to all guests.

I spent a bit of time figuring out how to lock the door of the room. I needed to lift it using quite a lot of strength before I could lock it. The pipe under the sink in the bathroom was dripping, and that had caused the floor to rot. It needs a bit of light maintenance at least. I could not report this to the reception as it was closed the next morning we checked out.

Location was great. Loved the Balcony overlooking the Main Street with a side view of the falls. Room nicely decorated

Check in not until 4 and on arriving a bit early-we were turned away in a very cold way. Water pressure in shower was barely a trickle. Hallway has old carpet. Could use a little updating. Being on the main road, the car noise was loud for light sleepers. The bed was way too soft! Staff members were often smoking right under staircase to enter hotel.

The hotel is basic and while previous reviews are accurate, it’s well priced and you get what you pay for. Spacious room, comfy king sized bed. Great shower, loo with a view over the beautiful waterfall. Friendly staff who responded quickly to asks for more pillows etc.

As it’s basic there were few sockets and not all of them worked. Had to pay extra for linen and towels but we knew of this beforehand. No restaurant or dining facilities but honestly think we were the only guests so that’s understandable. They do have a ‘sister’ hotel we could have used which was a good compromise. The village was quiet but the hotel perfectly met our expectations and a great base for a few days.

Car parking right next to the hotel and it’s free of charge , room was a bit old , obviously hotel needs some maintenance. There were no refrigerator and kettle in the room , there is no kitchen to boil some water etc . Hotel restaurant was closed . There is nobody at the reception desk either it’s day or night time. From the other hand It was clean, we had large balcony with breathtaking view, I could see waterfall from my window.
