Nice sized clean bathroom, big shower with great water pressure. Plenty plug sockets, big comfortable bed, good sized room, amazing Mountain View’s from the window! Have to pay for the wifi but there is great mobile service around the entire town if you have a roaming sim. Great breakfast, basic but good selection and freshly made coffee! I didn’t get the chance to have dinner at the restaurant but they serve pizza until 9-9:30pm which was a great option if coming back later. Location: very close to the train station and round the corner from two different supermarkets and there’s plenty cafes and restaurants across the road. It is extremely accessible via foot to the Oeschinensee hike and sunnbuel hike which I did over my two day stay. There’s a lovely bakery literally opposite which is very affordable and delicious. no noise very peaceful and quiet for the most part! Check-in was super easy and accommodating. Check-in on booking.com stated 5-6:30pm but I messaged the property asking if I could check in earlier around 3pm and the room was ready for me as I walked in at 2:15pm, this allowed me to freshen up and drop off bags to start my day a lot earlier than expected! Check-in and Check-out was very easy and seamless

This accommodation is great value for money (especially in Switzerland!). Located in quick walking distance to all the shops and supermarkets in the center of Kandersteg, as well as to the cablecars taking you to Oeschinensee and Allmenalp. Rooms are minimalistic, but seem to have been renovated recently, and are perfectly suited for staying a few nights. The breakfast is varied and delicious, with freshly-baked bread from the owner, good coffee and a variety of cheeses, cold cuts and jams.

The lack of WiFi, and that there is no door separating the shower area from the rest of the room.

Great location. Kandersteg is one of the best places you would want to be in winter. You can go to Oeschinen Lake(cable car from Kandersteg) for some breathtaking views both in summer and winter. That is also a great place for skiing for beginners and more experienced people. The place is a bit outdated, but you have all the facilities you need and you will be greeted by great staff. The pizza they have at the ground floor restaurant is great and you get to choose your toppings. We only went on a short trip and stayed only one night but it was one of the best experiences we had in Switzerland. In the first day we went to Lauterbrunnen and took the cable car to Mürren(about 1h by car from Kandersteg) and in the second day we went to Oeschinen Lake. Lots of things to do in the area, so even a 1 or 2 week stay will be pleasant. Breakfast was nice and the staff was nice.

The hotel’s location is fantastic! Frankly speaking? I made a reservation because I had no other options, I didn’t like the pics of the hotel,I expected the room to be very small and old fashioned buuut I was shocked when I opened the door, it was great,spacious,modern,the mountains view is spectacular, so my advice- you should take new photos of the hotel and rooms,this will definitely attract new clients. The breakfast was small but with all essentials and OMG the home made bread,I still can’t forget it!!!!!!! The balcony is also very nice, we bought some food in a local store and enjoyed the view.

Everything was perfect, Location and surroundings was peaceful and beautiful also description totally matches. Staffs were very nice and helpful, they also let us check in 1.5 hr before the time which was very helpful. Even after check out they let us stay in the sitting area until our train came. Furthermore you can also eat nice pizza which they make in front of you in their restaurant and it tastes fresh and delicious.

Our room was clean and cozy. Everyone was very polite and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and we also had dinner a couple of times and it was great. The lady from the restaurant was so sweet and took really good care of us. From the balcony we could see the gardens, snowy mountains and waterfalls. We would go back anytime.

Bathroom was a bit uncomfortable, we stayed in room 6.

The hotel is very good, it is cozy small hotel owned and run by a family (as we can understand). The room was small, but cozy and clean, the view from the room was perfect. Breakfast was also good (not so many types of food as you can see in some big hotels, but it was tasty and there was enough tasty food to eat). We could not come early, so we had to ask the owners for a late check-in (after 11 pm) and they were very nice to us, so we checked in without any problems, many thanks for that!

Simple but clean and quiet, close to the train station and the Coop in town. The included breakfast had BACON, which was a nice treat. For the money, a decent deal overall.

The check-in time is pretty late (5 pm) and the check-out time is pretty early (10am). Would be nice to have a bit more flexibility. Need a more accessible outlet near the bed. No wifi on site. No fridge in the room, so I adapted by putting my groceries on the window sill.

The hotel is so good with the mountain view and it is near the train and bus station. Breakfast was good. The lady there was so kind. In front of this hotel there is a bakery. They will give free public transport tickets to a particular area after check out

There is no hair dryer and they charge an extra 9 chf city tax but they didn't mention anything after check out they will charge.

THE. BEST. BREAKFAST. EVER. I have never seen my wife eating so much and so happily. Best coffee you will ever have in such category of hotels. Breakfast also included fresh fruits, freshly baked bread, milk, yoghurt, eggs, cereals, etc.

Bed mattresses were worn out and bedsheets also quite old.
