We had an amazing stay in this traditional Swiss chalet! Our room was clean, cozy, and very comfortable, with a big balcony offering breathtaking mountain views—a perfect spot to relax and take in the scenery. The staff was very kind and helpful, making us feel welcome from the start. Breakfast was a true delight, served buffet-style with a delicious variety of options. Enjoying our coffees & the delicious breakfast with such a stunning view made it even more special. The room was warm, cozy and well-maintained, providing a perfect retreat after a day in the mountains. Small but clean bathrooms with really hot shower! Free parking included. Just a short walk through the village to the cable car (you’ll get discount with the hotel card) and to the recommended by the Staff very good restaurant! 👍 Thank you! 🙏 Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic Alpine experience!

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The location is excellent, close to main attractions and essential facilities, making it easy and convenient to get around. The rooms and public areas were very clean and well maintained, which added to the comfort of our stay. The service was outstanding; the hotel owners, who also managed the reception, were attentive and eager to help with anything we needed. The staff were extremely friendly and made us feel right at home with their warm and professional attitude. Breakfast was excellent and diverse, with a variety of options that catered to all tastes a perfect start to the day! We also received a complimentary room upgrade, which was a lovely touch and added extra value to our experience. The view was beautiful, and the place was incredibly peaceful and quiet. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay and a memorable hotel experience!

The bed was very comfortable and we slept well in our quiet corner room. We had a balcony that was quaint and a nice view of the main street. The location in perfect and the breakfast was very good in the morning. My husband liked that they had beer in the downstairs fridge to pay by the bottle. They additionally had a boot warmer, which we used since we had hiked in the rain earlier that day. We ate supper that night at Hotel Rendez-vous and it was one of the best burgers we had on our Switzerland trip. Would recommend!

The only downfall was the bathroom was very small and had a low ceiling, which was slightly hard to use for my husband who was taller. But maybe that was just our room, and it wouldn't stop us from going back!

Bedrooms are too soft for our personal taste

The breakfast was really good, plenty of choice of cold buffet, cereals, eggs, croissants, and if things ran low, they were topped up straight away. We were even asked if we wanted more eggs, never been asked this in many years.A good choice of coffees too. We had a balcony room at the front, on the road side, but traffic is very light, and non existent overnight. I'd recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay, at a reasonable price in an expensive country. It's an easy 10 minute walk on the level from the station, and food shops are close by. The Hotel Alpenblick , 100 metres away, does simple meals at a fair price

The hotel is in an excellent location. Kandersteg is beautiful and is perfect for exploring Oeschinensee & other local attractions. The hotel is small and has everything you need. The breakfast is delicious! No fridge or kettle in the room but there are other facilities to make up for this - a small communal fridge in the corridor and the option to get hot water from the restaurant if needed. The views all around the hotel are stunning. It was the perfect base for our trip.

The bed & pillows are a little soft, but we still had a great night sleep. The walls are thin so you can hear noises from other rooms but it wasn’t terrible. Overall the hotel is still perfect and we would definitely return.

Peaceful for a good night sleep and the beds were so comfortable. Only a 7-10min walk to the Kandersteg station and less than 5min walk to connect to Gondola ticket station to complete the Oeschininsee Lake hike. Breakfast was fresh, perfectly cooked and the variety was great! Also, staff/owners were friendly and accomodating and helped with any requests or questions.

Booked the superior room and pictures on booking.com show modern photos of rooms only. We were allocated a room that was really outdated (possibly one of the original rooms when the lodge was first built?!). I spoke to the owner at the reception desk to double check if I booked a completely different room to what was paid, and he explained that rooms are booked to availability and some booking websites don’t picture all rooms. He was kind to quickly move us to another, more modern room that reflected closely to what we booked. I am so glad he was able to accomodate our move request because the new room was perfect, more modern and helped made our stay in Switzerland memorable, comfortable and enjoyable ☺️

Where the hotel is located Charming balcony with a breathtaking view of the mountains, enchanting bird sounds and convenient bus stop (free transportation with hotel city card). wonderful breakfast and large room. a nearby site, to mention a couple Lake Oeschinen, tobogan run, train station 8 minutes by foot, bus 3 minutes A tip: Obtain the hotel's city card. b) Request the first floor since there is no elevator. The receptionist was kindly and powerfully capable of carrying one of our bags to our room on floor two (we kept the other one in the reception). Along with providing us with a shared electric converter, he also permitted us to prepare our food close to the reception area( Cooking not allowed in this eco-friendly hotel) , We need to enter the hotel from road thru gravel ( so those are with heavy luggage be prepared to lift by hand for a minute)

I stayed in Hotel Seiler. As by mistake hotel Alpine was cancelled. But the main person of Hotal Alpine was very lovely and very helpful he sort it the hotel for me. In the morning i couldn't go to have breakfast on time because i had to get my hire car. But he came outside to ask me to come and have breakfast. Hotel Alpine maind person men he was very very lovely and kind. The hotel Seiler were i stayed, lady at the resturant in the night, for help, she was very rude. Not very nice to answer or help you.
