Clean , comfortable stay. We had a Nice view from our window (please refer to the photo) which is the highlight of our stay. It is also near from the cable car station. A 15min walk from the main train station but mostly flat. There is also a bus stop around 2-5 mins walk. Nice breakfast . Staffs are friendly. Affordable for a place like Kandersteg, near Oeschinensee with some privacy. I will book in this hotel if I will visit Kandersteg again. The hotel gave us also guestcards.

There is only small selection of breakfast but it was decent one. The entrance at the hotel is made with gravel path/walkway, so if you have big luggage, you have to lift them up to get into the reception. No elevator. Wifi is slow, thankfully we had our mobile data so it wasnt a problem.

Loved the view from the room of the mountains, especially during sunset :) The breakfast was also a decent spread and the view from the eating area was incredible! It was quiet at night and the balcony was great to see the stars. We could get hot water direct from the coffee machine. A small communal fridge was available to put our items

As the staff can't really speak English, we couldnt get help when our online hotel card (which can be used for discount for the gondola) did not get sent over to our emails even though we registered via their QR code. Thankfully the gondola staff still gave us the discount. Other than that, there was a flight of stairs to climb to the room and it does get cold at night (heater wasnt hot enough). Toilet was also abit small, but clean

We had an amazing stay in this traditional Swiss chalet! Our room was clean, cozy, and very comfortable, with a big balcony offering breathtaking mountain views—a perfect spot to relax and take in the scenery. The staff was very kind and helpful, making us feel welcome from the start. Breakfast was a true delight, served buffet-style with a delicious variety of options. Enjoying our coffees & the delicious breakfast with such a stunning view made it even more special. The room was warm, cozy and well-maintained, providing a perfect retreat after a day in the mountains. Small but clean bathrooms with really hot shower! Free parking included. Just a short walk through the village to the cable car (you’ll get discount with the hotel card) and to the recommended by the Staff very good restaurant! 👍 Thank you! 🙏 Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic Alpine experience!

There are several photos on the website and you don’t know which room you will get until check-in, which is not before 2pm so don’t bother asking like I did. We got a tight fitting room for our family of four. The staff seemed very abrupt- not the cozy, welcoming attitude I was expecting based on the laidback feel of the town. No elevator- so be prepared to carry all luggage upstairs.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The location is excellent, close to main attractions and essential facilities, making it easy and convenient to get around. The rooms and public areas were very clean and well maintained, which added to the comfort of our stay. The service was outstanding; the hotel owners, who also managed the reception, were attentive and eager to help with anything we needed. The staff were extremely friendly and made us feel right at home with their warm and professional attitude. Breakfast was excellent and diverse, with a variety of options that catered to all tastes a perfect start to the day! We also received a complimentary room upgrade, which was a lovely touch and added extra value to our experience. The view was beautiful, and the place was incredibly peaceful and quiet. Location of the Hotel is great. 3-4 mins walk from the city center. The rooms are nice and the surrounding of the hotel extraordinary. Check in and check out was easy and the host very cooperative. Car parking was also next to the hotel.

Not all amenities are available. Breakfast is good but if you ask for anything like "omelets" or say "kettle" "iron box" you get a standard reply - "we are a 2 star hotel. We do not provide this or that"

Kandersteg is a beautiful town that is really worth visiting. The hotel is comfortable, clean and spacious . I love the town and the hotel that is surrounded by mountains views, cows chasing, 15mins walk to famous cable car and hiking, few minutes walk away you would see river view, grocery shops, breakfast is reasonably good standard and make you full ( nothing extraordinary breakfast , but a very good quality decent first meal in the morning)

The bed was very comfortable and we slept well in our quiet corner room. We had a balcony that was quaint and a nice view of the main street. The location in perfect and the breakfast was very good in the morning. My husband liked that they had beer in the downstairs fridge to pay by the bottle. They additionally had a boot warmer, which we used since we had hiked in the rain earlier that day. We ate supper that night at Hotel Rendez-vous and it was one of the best burgers we had on our Switzerland trip. Would recommend!

The only downfall was the bathroom was very small and had a low ceiling, which was slightly hard to use for my husband who was taller. But maybe that was just our room, and it wouldn't stop us from going back!

The breakfast was really good, plenty of choice of cold buffet, cereals, eggs, croissants, and if things ran low, they were topped up straight away. We were even asked if we wanted more eggs, never been asked this in many years.A good choice of coffees too. We had a balcony room at the front, on the road side, but traffic is very light, and non existent overnight. I'd recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay, at a reasonable price in an expensive country. It's an easy 10 minute walk on the level from the station, and food shops are close by. The Hotel Alpenblick , 100 metres away, does simple meals at a fair price
