We stayed one night at The Millcroft Hotel in Gairloch and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The location is stunning — right by the water with expansive views, and we were lucky enough to spot a seal in the water outside. The hotel has a dated interior, but it actually suits the charm of the location and adds to the overall experience. We were given a spacious suite with two bedrooms (a double and a single), a bathroom, and a separate living room accessible via a short staircase — great for stretching out and relaxing. The staff were exceptionally friendly and cheerful, which made our stay even more pleasant. The restaurant served tasty food — we especially enjoyed the curries and the local beer. Good value for money overall. Breakfast was also good, with options available from the menu. A lovely place to stay in a beautiful setting!

If we had to point out one downside, it would be the bed, which we found quite small and firm.

Our rooms were large, spacious, clean and with STUNNING views. It was a truly beautiful location to stay at. The photos are the views from the bedroom and lounge windows. The staff were extremely pleasant, polite and helpful. I couldn’t have asked for better service. There was on site parking at the property which could fill up but even if it did there was plenty of free street parking and the village was such a lovely quiet place that I think you could park anywhere and your car however expensive it may be would be perfectly safe. Highly recommended and thank you again to the staff for making us so welcome.

There was nothing not to like.

We stayed overnight at The Millcroft on our NC500 trip. We had a 2brm suite. The beds were comfy, bathroom was clean. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room were appreciated. The included breakfast was hearty and cooked to to order. The location is convenient, with parking onsite (depending what time you arrive, as it also has a bar and restaurant so those patrons also use the car park in the evening). Great views over the harbour from our room. The staff team were young but really friendly and knew their jobs. The building has an interesting heritage, and has the usual quirks of old buildings such as lots of stairs and narrow hallways, but our room was very spacious.

Our family 'room' was an actual apartment with two upstairs bedrooms and downstairs sitting room with TV. The hotel is in an elevated position at the head of Strath and the views over the harbour are lovely. The hotel is very clean, spacious and has all the amenities as described. We were given a warm welcome & all the information we needed on arrival. Dinner was excellent & good value for money with professional but friendly service. Breakfast was very good with with hot & cold choices. We would stay again

There wasn't anything not to like. Our stay was made pleasant & comfortable by the staff

This was our third visit to the Millcroft and we stayed in one of the rooms that is more like a mini apartment room 23 This gave a lounge and two bedrooms (one single one double) and the attic or tower room with a semi panoramic view over the bay through the three windows All was very neat and clean and comfortable We found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating and the manager Duncan was particularly fun and helpful

Not a dislike but the parking is limited on the same level as the hotel itself and the trek up the hill via the stairs from the overflow car park is pretty tiring if you have to do with luggage so getting to the hotel relatively early would be an advantage

We really enjoyed our stay for a few nights in Oct. 24. The breakfast had a great selection from the menu, and everything was fresh. The room was clean with a beautiful view, and the large bathroom with a great shower was a plus. The dinner was also very good, and having a pub attached was perfect for a drink in the evening. Additionally, the staff were super friendly, humorous, and attentive, which made my experience even better!

While we enjoyed our stay overall, there was one minor thing we noticed. The bed had only one blanket, which meant we had to share it, making it a bit chilly at times. However, this did not significantly affect our overall nice experience.

The accommodation for my friend and I was in 2 rooms ( 1 double, 1 Single) in an apartment with a downstairs private lounge and TV. Excellent spacious accommodation for 2 women travelling requiring separate rooms. Would be ideal for a wee family of 3. The elevated location gives breathtaking views. Breakfast was delicious served by very well mannered very staff. We had a few drinks in the friendly bar and met some of the locals who were very welcoming. Gairloch is a great base from which to explore this incredible coastline. We visited Inverewe gardens and the beautiful beach at Mellon Udrigle. We were blessed with wall to wall sunshine which made this a very memorable trip.

We chose Millcroft simply as a stopover on a roadtrip, and honestly didn't expect that much. But it was the best place we stayed for the entire trip. We had the superior suite, as it was that or the family room to get two beds, and the views are truly stunning. The beds were comfortable, the suite really spacious (two bedrooms plus a living area), and everything was clean and modern. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Parking was easy behind the hotel, and it was perfectly located for a morning run up into the hills. Couldn't ask for more!

Absolutely nothing. Perfect stay!

My room was larger than I expected and comfortable. Duncan and the team of staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The position of the hotel provides a wonderful view of mountains and the sea.

Upon arrival there was no milk in my room when I wanted to make a cup of tea. Located a member of staff who gave me a jug of fresh milk. Long life milk cartons appeared the next day. My pillows were very soft. Given a choice I would prefer a firmer pillow.

The bedrooms and living room are in separate level and access with stairs, interesting setup. The house came with history. The restaurant has a beautiful view. The living room was spacious.

The bedrooms were very small, so was the bed. The bed was so small where my husband couldn't fit on it. Luckily there were 2 bedrooms, so he slept in the double bed size and I slept in the single bedroom. Because the living room and bedroom are in different level, so was the bathroom. Whenever you want to get water for making coffee, always need to climb the stairs, constantly going up and down the stairs.
