The staff was so friendly and helpful. Helped my mum up the stairs with her bags and looked after her while I went to my meeting. Breakfast was great for me. Mum found the sausages salty though, but ate everything else. Location was great once I knew where I was going. I stopped to see where my meeting was being held first so that tired out mum making the walk feel longer than it was. Once we knew the walk too and from the station was simple and quick.

Granted, I contacted the hotel in the morning of my afternoon arrival to make an amendment but it wasn't even when I arrived. I had emailed to advise that my mother was joining me. It was last minute but it was not picked up. As such, mum and I shared a single bed which we agreed was fine, but I could not really speak of its comfort as I would not know.

I was attending the plymouth sessions alone and booked a hotel on the hoe so that i was staying nearby with it finishing late at night. The location was ideal for me, my room spotless n comfortable. Your staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful! Thank you so much.

I paid £85 for this room, which was the cheapest i could find and was so grateful to find a room with you at such short notice. The only thing i would say is that, although im sure this is the case with many hotels now, this price was room only which seems a lot of money to pay for just a room without breakfast being included in the price.

The hotel felt so welcoming from the minute you stepped inside. We arrived well before check in and were unable to check in until later that evening due to a music festival we were attending on The Hoe ( which incidentally is a very VERY short walk). We were given a key to our room, clear instructions and had our luggage locked away which was taken to our room for when we got back late that evening. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. The breakfast was lovely and so much choice and our room was spotlessly clean. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Grosvenor, you are a gem!!

Staff are really friendly and helpful, from the moment we arrived. The room and bathroom were clean amd spacious, with the added bonus of a dressing area off the main bedroom. There is a good selection of breakfast, all served quickly and with a smile.

We had the family room, which is quite dark during the day, as there is no window in the main area (the light comes in from the second bedroom & the dressing area). Also the mattress in the double bed was not the most comfortable, and not pocket sprung, so every movement affected both of us.

Excellent Hotel in close proximity to the Theatre, Hoe and shops. Very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast choices cooked to a high standard. We have stayed more than three times now, each time in a different room which have all been, exceptionally clean, nice towels, toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities, great bedding and warm. We use the hotel for overnight stays for Theatre visits but we would happily stay for a holiday.

I liked the location very much. The communal space was very nice. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The only downside to my room (9) the floorboards were very creaky and the bed was also creaky and not very comfortable. Other than that, the shower en-suite was very nice and clean with a powerful hot shower and nice fluffy towels. Tea and coffee facilities with biscuits were also available. The full cooked breakfast and the facilities were brilliant and the service was excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is well looked after and very clean. The rooms were clean and the bed really comfortable. It was nice and quiet so had a great nights sleep. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is great as well. Really couldn't find any fault

Parking is a little restricted. There are free parking places behind the hotel, but if it is busy, I can imagine these would not be enough for all the guests so book in advance! There is ample on street parking outside but you have to pay for this, though reduced rates are available from the hotel

Always a friendly welcome, and a great location to central Plymouth we were going to the Paviollons and it was only a 5-minute walk away. Lovely breakfast in the morning and catered for everything including gluten-free options.

I think next time I will mention having a room on a lower floor. It's a lot of steps if you're at the top of the hotel especially when going for breakfast if you find steps difficult. Parking is a bit hit and miss you almost have to check in at 3 pm on the dot to ensure a space or pay costly parking costs else where.

the property was in an ideal location for where we wanted to go. there was a lovely older gentlemen’s that served us in the evening with drinks from the bar and he was exceptional. Please pass on our thanks to him.

The room was very cold and you can’t switch the heating or air con on yourself. There was a portable heater but the actual equipment got very hot. When we asked the morning staff when checking out to pass on our thanks to the older gentlemen who made us feel welcome the response we got was ‘well I wasn’t working last night’ very blunt and rude.

I visit Plymouth for work every 2 weeks and always stay at The Grosvenor. Very early on in my new job I once made the mistake of booking somewhere else, and I couldn't sleep properly. The location of The Grosvenor is excellent, it's comfy, everyone is lovely, the rooms are spotless and the breakfast on offer is a great spread - I only ever have cereal, fruit and yoghurt, but everyone else's looks delicious. You won't find a friendlier hotel for the extremely reasonable prices. My home away from home.
