The apartment was on the top floor and it was large and well decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a good size. The room was full of light and with the windows open it was very comfortable (we had very mild weather for summer). The balcony has some lovely views and we spent an enjoyable evening having drinks on it and admiring the mountain view.

The curtains don’t cover all windows and so it’s very bright very early and into the evening of a summer. It also means the room will heat up during the day if it’s hot, sunny weather as there isn’t any air-conditioning. As of July 2025 there was construction going on next door (not the hotels fault at all I must stress) so there was some construction noise from about 6:30am for an hour or so. Once the initial set up (we assume) was completed the noise died down again so it’s only a minor inconvenience.

Location was excellent. The apartment had all the necessary amenities for a short stay. We stayed to ski using the Innsbruck Ski Pass and the apartment was within 200m from the bus pick up. The apartment is surrounded by local restaurants and takeaways.

We arrived early so didn’t expect the room to be ready, but they did not have any facilities to mind cases. So we had to go to a local baggage locker to have them stored. An extra cost and hassle. There are no laundry facilities and any room service or extra towels are charged as an addition which can be annoying for a longer stay.

I was hesitant to book due to some of the poor reviews but the room set up of the apartment (Goldene Krone) was exactly what we needed for our young family so I went ahead and booked anyway. We were so pleasantly surprised! The apartment was perfect - it was large, clean, cosy and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. We didn't have any issues with noise at all, but we were on floor 4 and at the back of the building. The communication in the lead up to our stay was also great and we had no issues with staff, in fact on the contrary, the staff we met upon check in were really lovely and welcoming. We also had a meal in the restaurant on our final night, the food was great and our wait staff (same people from reception) were amazing! The location is also unbeatable, you are in the heart of Old Town with shops, restaurants and transport right on your doorstep. Definitely recommend the Goldene Krone apartment!

Only thing that was disappointing was that in all the photos on Booking and on their website there is a washing machine in the apartment, however when we arrived it was no longer there. Not the end of the world as we washed a few things in the shower but as we stayed for a week and were expecting it, it would've been nice to have!

Our stay in Innsbruck was truly memorable, thanks to this well-located and thoughtfully maintained hotel. Everything—from the location to the amenities—was spot on. Situated within easy reach of public transport, restaurants, and major attractions, it made exploring the city effortless. The room was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable, with attention to detail evident throughout the property.

However, there are two minor areas where improvement could elevate the experience to perfection. First, installing proper blackout curtains would greatly enhance sleep quality by blocking out early morning light. Second, during warmer months, having air conditioning or at least better ventilation would help prevent the room from feeling stuffy or suffocating. Overall, it's a fantastic place to stay in Innsbruck, and with just a couple of tweaks, it would be flawless.

The location was incredible. The Mountain View is a bit of a stretch - you have to sit in a very specific spot and look far to your right. But, you can then see them! The bed was very comfortable. We didn’t cook, but the kitchen was equipped. The downstairs restaurant served very good food.

We were surprised that there was some street noise 4 stories up. Not anything that would prevent me from staying again. Having waiters in the downstairs restaurant as a point of contact wasn’t ideal. We reported that there was no channel changer in the living room, and it was never taken care of. We didn’t go to Innsbruck to watch tv, and again not anything that would prevent me from staying here again.

The location was perfect and the building was really easy to find. The apartment was very big and cosy and staff were very friendly.

The nespresso machine wasn't working and the tv wouldn't connect for Netflix, just kept freezing. Not huge issues for a short stay but a bit inconvenient. The windows are also very thin so a lot of noise from the Christmas market right outside, but it thankfully got quieter around 11pm. The bathroom door only has sliding partially frosted glass. It was fine for me travelling on my own, but for others sharing, it could be a bit awkward.

Everything is great, quick check-in, without long waiting and registration, there is an elevator. Location in the city center, on the square, among wonderful historical buildings and numerous cafes and shops. Excellent clean bed, pillows, mattresses. It was very comfortable to sleep.

The biggest problem is the noise from the windows in the morning. if you want to sleep with the windows open, be prepared that the cleaning machine on the square will wake you up at 5:30😂, then it is very noisy from the trucks that bring products to the hotels. If you want quiet in the morning, book apartments facing the other side, these are odd numbered rooms: 9, 7, 5, but they are more expensive. we were in room 8 on the top floor.

Absolutely loved our apartment. Gorgeous design, situated on top floor (via lift) on quiet side of building. The Stadtturm is literally next door and can be viewed from the balcony. The Golden Roof is a stone’s throw away along with many of the Alrstadts famous attractions. The restaurant below is wonderful. 5 minutes walk to a great little laundromat over the bridge. Take some coins for the machines and go do some grocery shopping at the nearby supermarket while you wait for your laundry.

Fairly easy to find. Time limits on arrival check ins made our travel more difficult to ensure we arrived to get keys, but once there it was quick and easy. Great location in center of town!

Could have had a bit more furnishings, more comfort items to help enjoy the stay. Definitely needed more fans for air flow. One bedroom with bunk beds was extremely small. No places for clothing or bags. Kitchen was sufficient. Not super well stocked but enough to get by.

It was so clean and right in the heart of the old town. We could not have been happier with the location. Of course, with all the restaurants there, there were a lot of people smoking so that was a bit annoying since we had to have windows open. We missed having a washer since traveling light with 4 children means doing laundry. But, otherwise, it was very clean and functional and beautiful. The location and view were great. We were not in the unit shown in the photos but we enjoyed it very much, still. We absolutely would stay here again and recommend it. The second “bedroom” is an interesting room and had almost no ventilation so our children in that room were a little warm even with the door open and a fan on. But it’s the summer time…we enjoyed our time in innsbruck all the same. And it was around a 15-20min from the train station so doable and the location was just great

It got a little stuffy in the summer heat but it’s to be expected. A washer in the bathroom would have been nice for families but not a big deal either. Otherwise, it was fabulous
