This is an unspoilt, if quirky, old building sympathetically expanded, with many original features still in place. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, even on a hot and busy Sunday in August. The room was clean and well maintained and appointed. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of cereals etc as well as the full cooked options. Best fried eggs I've had for ages.

Nothing major. Missed baked beans at breakfast, but that's just me. Note that the main car park is across the road so be wary crossing to the pub as local traffic goes through the village to avoid the tourists on the coast road.

Stayed there for Christmas and it couldn't have been more perfect. Xmas eve Dinner in the evening was lovely - nice roaring fire and the pie was exceptional - I wish I could make pastry like that. Breakfast didnt disappoint either and there were plenty of cooked options and our doggies got a sausage each and were made very welcome. Christmas day dinner was just perfect - a little background music would have made it a bit more of a party atmosphere (it was Christmas day after all) but other than that the food was plentiful all home made and delicious. The staff couldn't do enough and made the stay really special.

As Christmas Day eve the hotel was closed we had taken a picnic to eat in our room and were looking forward to an evening of films, however the TV was very small and from the bed barely watchable - it also needed retuning so most of the channels didnt work.

All staff very friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Our preferred breakfast time was not available but they still slotted us in at our preferred time. All food was very tasty and well proportioned.

Choice of veg for the evening meal (2nd night) was limited - white cabbage, carrots, peas and broad beans only. And potatoes limited to goose fat mashed or new potatoes only - we both chose new potatoes, as didn't consider "goose fat mash" a sensible option. Bathroom radiator noise was constant overnight, but ok if door was closed.

We chose the pub due to the location and the promise of a decent pie for the evening meal. We had just finished a week on a boat cruising the Broads and needed a place to relax. The pub is located in sleepy village where rush hour usually involved a tractor or two. Staff were attentive and it was apparent that dogs were very welcome and we can say that all the dogs we saw were all well behaved, just a bit excited. Room was lovely, plenty of hot water, and very easy to drop off to sleep, other than a dodgy fire alarm, but was sorted quickly by the staff. Yes the pies were very good, using local produce. Breakfast was lovely, again good quality, and didn’t leave hungry.

Location very near all attractions. Breakfast included kippers, food for evening meal substantial. However, the room was next to the road, so for privacy blinds had to be closed at certain times, also there was early morning road noise, due to the age of the building, no double glazing. Huge bathroom , both the bath and shower were enormous. Pub garden great for relaxation after trips out. Room decor very attractive.

We had a ground floor room, so privacy from the road was in short supply, although traffic was infrequent.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, food was great and location was very nice. Clean and comfortable, a big thank you to the staff who really are a credit to the stay at the property 😃 👍

I am a dog owner, bred dogs and enjoyed my entire life around animals farming etc and I really don’t enjoy sitting in a restaurant/ bar with somebody’s dog barking and sitting on their lap while they are eating and you are trying to enjoy your meal with your loved ones, going outside the following morning and a dog not on a lead jumping on you and slobbering all over you 🤔

Excellent location for what we required I.e visit to Holkham Hall . Room clean , spacious and comfortable. Breakfast plenty of choices , full English excellent 😄. Evening meal again plenty of choices . Staff very attentive and efficient.

There was nothing to dislike , but for us we would have preferred a comfortable seating area where we could have relaxed after our evening meal in our opinion this was limited.

Very lovely for dog walkers. We walked to Wells on the Sea which the day of our stay which was about 3 miles for the route we took with our dog, fully off lead. The small town was lovely with lots of cute pubs. The day of our leave we drove to Cley next the Sea and had one of the most lovely walks we have been on.. As for the room, the bed was actually incredible. And the shower was heavenly. Plus if you mind about the bathroom size, it was hugeeee. A massive bathtub and a powerful shower was included

There were a lot of flies inside the restaurant which did bother our dog but we had our breakfast outside and went out after our meal in the evening so it wasn't an issue for us.

The very best thing about the room was the comfort of the bed - so good in fact we checked to see the manufacturer and plan to buy one! We only stayed for the one night (attending a local wedding) but it definitely suited our needs.

Whilst I don't doubt the quality of the ingredients, breakfast was a little disappointing in that everything was a little under-cooked for us - we liked our bacon crispy and mushrooms/tomatoes a little less hard. This of course is personal preference only as others may disagree!

To start with our bedroom, "StiffKey", was spotlessly clean. Bed was good and bathroom just as good as the room. The food was excellent and served by attentive staff. I would certainly recommend the Three Horseshoes to visitors that come to this area of Norfolk.

Well, and I don't want this to sound like criticism. I have a suggestion that would elevate the bedroom to 11 out 10. The addition of some sort of make up table and very good lighting would just serve really make the room outstanding. For blokes it doesn't matter. I might suggest the owners wife just tests out my suggestion. I think she would see what I am getting. BUT all in all the Horseshoes was a great place to stay.
