The big saltwater pool and grounds were lovely making it easy to not swim on top of each other; nice sheltered little balcony off our twin room on the second floor; Mantra is across from the beach and so close to everything; shower pressure was excellent; free wifi; security of property was excellent and the staff were nice.

Our room looked smaller, and not quite as flash as the photos showed; the beds were okay but a little firm; the smoke alarm was flashing (is it supposed to?); the tiny fridge seemed to struggle as it had water in the bottom from our food; a microwave like other motels would've been useful for the week; no broom or brush and shovel to sweep up sand and room only serviced after eight days; cutlery and cups seemed a bit of an afterthought as were all mismatched with one tiny pocket knife as a sharp knife; and the lounge chairs around the pool were very hard plastic and uncomfortable after a while.

The unit was well laid out and had good lounge and kitchen facilities. Laundry was excellent. Outlook onto the pool was very pleasant. Gardens were well maintained.

The cooktop is getting old. The access by stairs was inconvenient and probably unfriendly for people with mobility issues. Location of the soap dispenser vertically above the toilet roll is bad planning. The towel rail over the bath is so low it can’t be used. There could be more hooks for towels.

The pool and hydromassage outside were wonderful and also the hydromassage tub in the room. Very cozy and clean room. The girl at the reception was very kind to us. In the room we found many amenities such as: shampoo, conditioner and bathroom shower (also body cream), also equipped with cutlery, cup, plates and glasses, herbal tea, coffee and hot chocolate corner and also a mini milk box in the fridge. Possibility of washing dishes with soap (but there is no sponge). Super equipped with iron, ironing board, clothesline and clothespins, a stend for suitcases and also equipped with beach towels. Highly recommended 🙂

The ground floor room was spotlessly clean with excellent air conditioning. A huge bed, clean and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was huge with a spa bath, Excellent tv. The ground floor veranda looked onto the pool which was 6 yards away. The pool was extremely clean and cool. The location in Palm Cove was perfect, restaurant directly outside supermarket around the corner with a bottle shop across the road. 2K down the road towards Cairns Cole’s supermarket. Port Douglas /Mossman/Cairns was 40 mins either way.

The unit was excellent. Fully equipped, which allowed us to prepare our own meals if we chose. The unit was also pleasantly renovated and very well done and comfortable 👏 We would certainly rebook the same unit again 🙂

I'm just being a little picky if we really need to be. We had a unit that had a joining room, and we were probably unlucky that it was not really sound proof. No big deal, just mentioning because you asked?

Loved the location and the brilliant pool! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Love the mantra and will definitely book again!

Some very minor things… The two beds together was ok. We did notice it comes up in the middle. No big deal but just wanted to let you know it’s not the comfiest. Next time, we will probably go for a bigger room as a week with very little kitchen space was a bit annoying. Also just an fyi, we noticed the shampoo and body wash were really watery. I’m guessing water from the shower is getting into them.

Perfect location on Williams Esplanade. The apartment was very spacious and overlooked the pool. Comfortable bed, good air conditioning and ceiling fans.

Four levels of stairs, no lift. Quite a number of steps throughout the property to be navigated when entering or leaving via the pool area. Poorly equipped kitchen in the event that you would prefer to cook rather than dine out each night, for example, no saucepans. (I suspect they were in the owner’s locked cupboards.) Old cutlery and crockery. I would consider staying longer next time if there were better provisions.

Location was very central and convenient to a variety of cafes and restaurants. The pool was very clean and the lawn and garden around the pool were very well maintained. There were ample sunbeds for lounging by the pool.

The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable. It was a little tired in places. For example, the floor tiles in the bathrooms showed signs of age. The lounge has lost some of its spring.

I’ve many times at the Manta. First time in a spa room. The room was clean, comfortable. The kettle didn’t work though asked for a replacement but never came. Although Happy to walk out on street for a coffee. There was no internet connection being on my own I would have enjoyed logging into Netflix of a night. A toaster would have been great to have as well. Just so you can have breakfast in the room. Pool fantastic, staff great.

Comfy beds, friendly staff. Great pool.

The layout of the property. Absolut confusion to find the right exit out of car park to your room. Maze like feel. Why all these steps up and then down and up again to a terrace room. Weird architecture. Can't see that property to be wheelchair friendly or any other reason for mobility issues. But if your legs are great, and you are happy climbing stairs, this is a splendid place to stay.
