The staff were so friendly and helpful which made it very easy for us to settle in as a family for the weekend. The food was fantastic at every stage of the day and they always wanted to go the extra mile to make sure they catered to our needs. The winter room was more than we expected as it was like a small apartment with loads of room for the children to run around and play. It had two separate rooms with a double plus single and another room with two single beds. I highly recommend this hotel as a stepping stone to travel into Scotland or as a base for an extended stay. The final part is how close it is to Kilmartin Castle as it allowed us easy access and safety for the children. Thank you very much. The M-W's

This hotel is the perfect location for exploring Kilmartin Glen. The staff at this hotel were wonderful, very friendly and very helpful. The room we had was clean and modern with a wonderful view over the glen. A recently refurbished, modern en-suite was attached. The food and drink at both breakfast and evening meals was excellent, on each of the three nights we stayed. Parking is available off road at the side of the hotel.
Do not judge a book by its cover! The outside of the hotel looks in need of a coat of paint, the inside however is warm, comfortable and friendly.

Staff were warn super friendly and gave excellent service ,cannot sing their praises high enough !location was beautiful and close to lots of interesting Scottish history ! Dinner was also fantastic with generous portions and very reasonably priced all in good enough that we came back the following afternoon for lunch. The rooms were clean and comfortable ,again , reasonably prices
If I was to be super picky there’s a Few wee repairs needed in some bits but didn’t effect our stay or the enjoyment we had at this hotel.

We had a great stay here and I wish we'd stayed more than one night. The rooms are clean and comfortable, if a little sparse. Our room faced the highway, but it's a tiny town with little traffic and it was quite quiet at night. In the morning the view over the fields was inspiring. The location is very convenient to the museum and the church, just across the street. We walked along a footpath to the historic cairns and standing stones and were back in time for dinner. We were also a short drive from other historic ruins and sites. We had dinner in the lively, packed dining room. In such a small town, it was amazing to see how many people were there, and the broad menu with so many choices. The staff was welcoming, quick, and the food was excellent. I especially enjoyed having haggis for the first time. In the morning, the made-to-order breakfast was a great hearty meal to fuel our day. I ordered the Scottish Breakfast and it was delicious.
A mini-fridge would be a great addition for those of us who are on a longer trip. We had some trouble with the shower drain but maybe this was my error as I didn't check if it was a pop-up drain (they aren't a thing in the USA).

The facilities were marvellous. We virtually had a suite of rooms. The staff when we arrived and the serving at dinner in the evening were excellent. We arrived by bicycle so the bar service on arrival was particularly welcome. The Hotel helped us dry our wet clothes and boots. In the morning we were able to linger in the bar area after we had checked out, which was most helpful.
We would’ve like a bath.

Friendly very helpful staff nothing was too much trouble to accommodate us, early event booked meant we missed breakfast - packed lunch was offered and was delicious, we had a dog with us he was made to feel very welcome , a place was set for us in the bar to a accommodate him he even had his sausages for breakfast he was very comfortable at hotel, he had a close area to exercise in across from hotel - we had front facing room looking out to lovely view - our room very clean appeared recently decorated lovely powerful shower, will be returning again
Nothing really old building, with lot of character, cosy bar. A larger duvet on bed would of been better

The room we had was perfect for myself and my 4 teenage kids. Large spacious front room with a smaller twin at the back fitting the 5 of us very comfortably. Staff was nice and we felt very welcome. The food was really good with many homemade specials. All in all a great stay with excellent value for money.
On 2 out of 3 nights we heard people in the pub till midnight, which bothered me a bit, but not the kids. They did mention this ahead of the booking, though, to be fair.

As far as country side pub hotels go this is one of the best ones in our experience. * Slept like a baby * Lovely meal at the pub downstairs * Very nice breakfast * Friendly staff * Very clean showers, linen and towels * Large family room with one double, two single beds * Excellent value for money It's an old building with a lot of character, and not the poshest option in the neighbourhood but for this price - you can't fault it.
nothing, we liked everything about it

Stayed in January. staff are friendly and ready to help in any way they can. Food & drink are good and reasonably priced. Rooms are clean, spacious, and warm. Travelled 6 hrs and was geeted by the best barmaid in Scotland, welcoming, chatty, and informative on the local area and child friendly activities. Stayed in the family loft room. 2 kids, 2 adults, double bed 2 single beds. The room has loads of space, clean towels and cosy bedding, AMAZING views from the window, Overall, an outstanding stay, short but worthwhile Will 100% be staying again for a longer next time
