I stayed in the single room and it was clean and comfy. The bathroom was right across the hall and was spotless. While it advertises as having no breakfast, there is a wonderful continental breakfast in the room, including cereal, yogurt, juices, coffee, tea, and some snacks. It was much appreciated. The view from Pulpit Rock it was amazing. It’s a short walk up the hill. I went up there for the sunset and it was gorgeous. The property is on a hill so it is about a 10 minute walk down to town but I would guess maybe a half hour walk back up. I was glad to have a car. It was very convenient to the ferry.

Really nice, little guesthouse in a lovely location, the center of Oban on 10 minutes walking distance. The host gave us a really warm welcome and she was very helpful and informative about the place, restaurants, booking the ferries etc. We stayed just for one night. Check-in and check-out went smooth. Nice, cozy, clean room, comfy bed also complimentary drinks and snacks were a nice touch. We would recommend this place and its peaceful location. It was our first visit to Oban and we would go back again in the future :)

As a solo traveller I opted for the single room with shared facilities as I was touring and wanted a safe base in the evenings but knew I would be out in the daytime and off early in the morning. Comfy bed, clean room, no issues in sharing a bathroom, nice touches like the mini fridge which I used, milk and juices, tea and coffee, kettle, hairdryer, toiletries, hot chocolate and some snacks. Watched the TV- all working. Great to have the heater for the chillier nights and after being soaked in good old Scottish weather. Clean linen and towels with an option which I didn’t use of my room being serviced through the day. I liked the quiet location as close to Pulpit Hill for great views and I liked that it wasn’t right in the town centre as that suited me also. It was easy to find and took me about 25 minutes walk from the station uphill and quicker downhill. Thanks to the host for helpful local information and being able to leave my luggage on my final day before my return journey home.

Breakfast is not offered, but the hostess provide snacks. Rooms are spacious, very clean and confortable. There is not parking at the place itself but nearby it

There are two floors with rooms. We stayed in the rooms of the ground floor and we hear some noises from the people staying above us. Not because they were particularly noisy but because of the building itself. The frigde inside the room could also get a bit noisy at times.

Comfortable room, friendly and helpful host and great to find a place where there is parking a few minutes walk away. You could also make a cheeky breakfast from the thoughtful array of snacks! Cafe Shore opens at 8 am if you need an early start.

Nothing - note the return walk from the town is steep in places but a good workout if you are fit!

Welcoming and helpful host, good night sleep and great views from the nearby view point. The location is great to easily get on the ferry to Mull and back.

Pay attention that footpaths exist across the neighbourhood. Coming from outside the UK we are not comfortable with walking on roads to the ferry and back, so you can use them instead. The location is on a tall hill so it might not suit people with disabilities.

Don Muir is easy to get to, in a quiet location above Oban port. My single room was nicely furnished, with a very comfy bed and lots of welcome treats, including fresh milk and orange juice in the fridge. The bathroom (bathtub, shower, loo) across the hallway was extremely spacious and spotlessly clean, with plenty of hot water. Finally, the owner was really friendly and most helpful.

We enjoyed our 1 comfortable night. The host was very welcoming. The room was good for 2 people, and the extras of cereal and snacks were a welcome extra. There was a little fridge in the room, which is a great plus when travelling. We enjoyed the close by viewpoint as well as the walk down the hill to Oban. We would definitely stay again and recommend this lovely guest house.

Host prepared a breakfast basket and some cold drink in the little fridge for us. Also, a kettle with coffee, tea, sugar etc. was available in the room.

Parking was a bit far if you have heavy luggage but the parking place was at a viewing point from where there is an incredible view over the city and port.

Really well located, out of the main area, only a 10min walk into town. Really quiet location and near an amazing lookout point over all of Oban. Excellent host, really friendly and accommodating but not intrusive. Room was super comfortable and although there is no breakfast, the light refreshments in the room were a lovely touch. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if in Oban.
