Lovely junior suite room. Enjoyed sitting in the bay window each day before and after sightseeing, just watching oban bay and all the boats. Very relaxed few days. The extra large bed was very comfy. Breakfast was a nice choice and well presented.

The bathroom was a little dated but spacious. The hot water could've done to be hotter.

Very large room which was fantastic and the view was excellent...Only one heater in a large room which wasn't enough to heat the room.The very large bed was very good and very comfortable.Clean and most enjoyable stay.Didnt like menu in dining room for evening meals.No choice of british food.Didnt serve beer from a pump either only bottled.Staff very very friendly. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice x

The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was very good. There was a big car park at the back of the hotel. It is in easy walking distance of the centre of town and about a 15 minute walk to the ferry terminal. The WiFi was very good except for one short period when Internet access was unavailable. (There was a strong WiFi signal but an Internet outage.) The staff were most obliging and very helpful. Breakfast was very good and I enjoyed the evening meal in the restaurant. When the weather was bad and I didn’t want to go out in the rain, it was pleasant to sit in the lounge and watch the activity of ferries and boats coming and going.

The pool and steam sauna are fantastic. The breakfast buffet is very well presented. I am a retired executive chef and I've seldom seen a nicer kitchen anywhere, it's so modern, clean and spiffy. The whole hotel is just a beautiful old place. Staff was extra attentive. The view of the bay is perfect.

The bathtub faucets in our room where next to impossible to turn on and off. My wife had to go to our daughters room to shower. The room heater was not adjustable at all. The tour bus groups completely clean out the breakfast buffet as soon as it opens leaving nothing for hotel guests until it is replenished which takes quite awhile because the hotel is under staffed. Nearly impossible to get a drink at the bar as the desk clerk has to do double duty.

Hotel is very comfortable, reception staff very welcoming, location excellent, car parking good and Free, pool good, great location

Bar service poor, we wanted drinks to sit outside late afternoon sunshine, so a chilled white wine and a beer ! Normal would you think, No chilled wine actually No wine at all, apparently waiting for delivery, oh only wine was a Proseco not chilled, No beer! an issue with the pumps? So no Wine, No beer in a hotel this size is unbelievable! As we were thirsty and could not get any normal chilled drink ... they only had Cider chilled, never been in any hotel, and I assure you I've stayed in hundreds of Hotels and this was a first ... totally disappointed, from that we did not drink or eat on the hotel, feeble excuses from staff or just didn't know how to serve a resident. That really lower our rating, disappointed to say the least!

Property has undergone a change since our last visit. Staff were excellent and breakfast very good.

We were unfortunate to be using room 64. It contained a massive double bed which sounds good but was far too big for the room which should have been a single. The room was permantly dark due to the small windows looking out to a large hedge and a wall running up the side of the building. We stayed at the hotel during 16 - 18th of May which were brilliant sunny days but the sun did not get into our room at all. You really should not be charged for a double room". Also the usual complaint, why only 1 chair, 2 people were in this room.

Very beautiful property. We were upgraded to a sweet, so we had a nice elegant room with a sitting area, but the view on the ground floor was more of the parking lot than the sea. Our co-travelers were not upgraded and said their rooms were a little small. Bathrooms were a bit small, as was the shower. Good hot water. The location was great. Oban is very nice, and this was right in a row of nice Inns. Staff was helpful and hard working. Breakfast was a very tasty traditional Scottish breakfast. Better than others I've had.

Bathrooms were a little dated. Little room to store items. No usb chargers in the rooms.

The Staff Were Great, Especially the Check-in Girl as she was very helpful, and we couldn't believe how much she looked and sounded just like Nicole Kidman 😁. Our Room was Huge...we were given a free upgrade to a suite. Breakfast had a good selection to choose from, and the food was good. from a traditional Cooked Scottish breakfast, and all the continental trimmings were available too.

Although the room was a good size and had all the amenities, it was a little tired and dated. The shower enclosure was broken, and it needed a deep clean to remove silicone mould. The staff did say the hotel was in the process of upgrading rooms a few at a time....

The hotel was comfortable and the views from the restaurant windows are beatiful. The staff friendly, helpful and professional. Food delicious and the hotel itself very clean and presentable. Large lift inside for anyone with mobility problems. Bar facilities too. We felt very relaxed in the hotel and nothing was a problem for staff. There is also a lovely wee pub just around the corner from the hotel too.

Finding it quite difficult to fault however the coffee at breakfast time was not strong enough for us. And small plates for full english breakfast does not work so well.

I have stayed here before and found again a very clean and comfortable room. There is parking at the hotel which in the Oban can be difficult. While I did not use the swimming pool on this occasion it was available for use. Staff were very helpful and cheerful.

I was told that the two rooms we had booked were upgraded to sea view but neither was. While it made no difference to my one night stay the expectation was given then briefly disappointed. At night the reception staff also man the bar which means at times longer waits to order drinks. On the night we stayed ther was no Diet Coke or lemonade which seemed poor.
