Nice hotel with great views and excellent staff. Good location that is quiet but not too far from the centre of Oban.

There is a charge to use the pool etc - with the amount you are paying to stay here I would not expect to have to pay to use the pool area aswell. I arrived late at night and left early morning so it was closed anyway but I would have been annoyed if I booked this for a a few days and had to pay extra for this.

The room was very comfortable, and well furnished Plenty of space to dry things that got wet and more than enough of hanging space for clothes. Tea and coffee re replenished every day. Bed was massive, extremely comfortable and gave plenty of spae to stretch out and relax after busy days on holiday Breakfasts were great, quickly served by happy faces, not always easy at silly o`clock in the morning. All of the staff were very friendly and amenable to our requests. We did have our dogs with us who were accomodated for. A "doggy welcome pack" was provided, so that got an automatic 5 stars from Mr Kip Dog and Sally

Parking was poor. 4 benches took up precious parking space in front of the hotel which was already limited in various ways. There was an offer, of off site parking which I felt was a bit rough but...

Wonderful Hotel, ideally located, pleasant, helpful staff and dog friendly. The rooms were clean, tidy and to a high standard, with nice little touches, for both man and beast (Miss Molly Dog). Nice vegan cooked breakfast alternative. Highly recommended!

This is best for carnivores (like my guest), but a bit stretched for vegans (like me). My friend had a very nice Sunday lunch, I had a very dismal vegan version, with a cauliflower steak as a meat replacement - it was a large central thick slice, but over-steamed, not grilled, bland and served with a tasteless sauce - so disappointing. On top of that, I asked for soya milk for the room, which was quickly supplied, but off; only to be replaced with equally soured soya milk.

The staff were very friendly & helpful & efficient. The food was delicious, especially the langoustine, scallops & fish. Wine was good too. The hot tub was amazing. It was really relaxing.

The bed in the room was not comfortable and too hard for me. There was no rubber mat for the shower. The stairs to upstairs are quite steep & not suitable for elderly people & could be upgraded & no rail. There could be more slopes in the hotel for older guests that have big heavy suitcases. There is room for improvement. There could be a bigger choice of desserts.

Oban Bay Hotel is a lovely traditional hotel that faces a gorgeous bay and neighbouring islands. The staff were wonderful, very helpful and always pleasant when we walked through reception. The lounge areas off the main bar were the perfect place to spend an evening sipping on whisky and enjoying the outrageous scenery. It's hard to find fault with anything in the hotel. The breakfast had a great selection of items to choose from and the portions were very generous. The hotel is less than a 10-minute walk along a promenade into Oban centre, or a 2-minute car ride. The walk is beautiful.

Absolutely nothing.

The hotel is in a perfect location, looking out over Oban Bay. They've made real use of the view with indoor & outdoor seating. The whole stay was great from start to finish. Lovely staff, great facilities & easy to wander into Oban. Got to watch a stunning sunset by walking a whole minute down the road. The breakfast was really good, table service rather than a buffet which felt nice. Rooms were a generous size. I'd gladly stay again.

Nothing really, although there's very limited parking at the hotel, there are a few inexpensive public carparks nearby. Otherwise, nothing to complain about!

The breakfast was superb. Very professional table service .served by lovely staff and an excellent choice on the menu. Nice change from a buffet. The bedroom and bathroom were both comfortable and quiet.

The reception desk is completely in the wrong place. We felt we were in everyone's way when checking in. People queuing behind us also who didn't like waiting. The receptionist gave basic information and I don't recall a nice welcome. The car park we were told to go to behind the cathedral was overflowing and no cctv. Parked elsewhere. The spa was fully booked and this was disappointing.

i didnt have breakfast this time but i also stayed recently (25 of may) and i did have breakfast which was very nice. i have also stayed in similar crerar hotels around the country which are also very comfortable and well located.as a bonus the oban bay hotel is next store to the catholic cathedral of st columba. i particularly like the traditional touch ,i.e the old wireless (which still works) and telephone. its been 12 years since i last stayed (which was a holy year on the holy island of iona, the 1450th anniversary of the arrival from ireland of the said st columba and his monks). hope fully it wont be that long again.any way im already looking forward to my next visit.

nothing to complain about.

Lovely staff and clearly very hard working. Very comfortable, pleasant hotel.

Reception desk set up is somehow odd and creates the wrong impression. The chairs in front of the very low desk block those visitors who do not wish to take a seat. This isn’t a reflection on the reception staff who were very nice. Also in our room, the clear shower screen is very close to the front of the toilet and if only a bedside light is on in the night, it is easy to bang your head on the screen - quite painfully. Suggest a standout decal or something is applied to the outside of the shower screen to reduce the chance of this happening. It hurts. Also the shower (room 60) didn’t drain very well.

I worked here many years ago and always wanted to go for a visit and stayed here for a few days. Brought back wonderful memories, will definitely be back and would definitely recommend it. Was met and welcomed by all staff. All very friendly and helpful. Very well looked after from the moment of arrival. Due to food allergies, Chef was great in making me a meal that I could eat without having to worry about anything Room was great, The bed was so comfortable. And room very cosy. The weather was really bad on one of the nights with very heavy rain and wind, but could hardly hear a thing from.outsude.

Everything was great, can't fault anything
