The location is perfect, right on the water and just a short walk from the centre of Oban. We were able to park our rental car right in the main lot which was really nice. From the very first greeting, all the way through check-out, we felt really cared for. I would say that No. 26 absolutely understands hospitality and the host made our time feel very special. We would highly recommend the breakfast. It was lovely to wake up and just walk down to a freshly prepared meal of our choice.

It's really hard to find something we didn't like, but if I had to say anything it would be that the room got quite hot. Now it is summer and doesn't have air conditioning, so we understand there is only so much that can be done. If you are traveling in summer, that's just something to keep in mind. There was a fan provided which helped a little.

Location. On water in a quiet area of town. Gorgeous island views and insane sunsets. Hotel breakfasts were terrific, perfect size property, facility is well kept, friendly and attentive staff (Carrie was always there ready to assist with anything). Oban is terrific bu itself, but also it is a fabulous ‘base’ to explore this incredible area of Scotland.Highly recommend No 26 by the sea.

My room size, plus the room decor is dated, bed was fine, not great. Peeked in a few other rooms tho and they were larger and more current design. Couldn’t get ac to work but I didn’t ask for help either so maybe that was me.

No 26 is the most charming upmarket B and B. We were greeted with a welcome drink in a beautiful and stylish lounge and the owner was incredibly helpful in assisting us with future travel plans. Nothing was too much trouble. There is a fabulous bar area with an honesty box , and lovely seating looking out on the harbour. While there is no restaurant onsite there are countless places to eat within a short walk and they do offer a charcuterie board in the evening. The room was gorgeous with amazing sea views out to Oban harbour where you can watch the ferries and boats pass by. Breakfast was next level delicious with food served in a charming dining area with a beautiful open kitchen. I wish we could have stayed longer!

The breakfast was superb. I tried the poached eggs with hollandaise sauce and bacon 1st morning and scrambled eggs and salmon the next morning - both very good. My husband had the cooked breakfast both mornings and said it was extremely good and tasty! The room was a seaview and what a view of the Calmac ferries coming into port and leaving port several times a day! We could also see Kerrera island across the way which we visited and walked to Hutchinson Monument and the marina. Enjoyed the orange juice and croissants delivered outside the bedroom door each morning at 7.30am. Nice touch as was the welcoming drink on arrival. Lovely lounge area and outside seating area and good parking outside.

The bathroom door didnt shut from the bedroom side. Although there was a lock on the inside whilst using the bathroom. A little dark inside the shower cubicle to see which was the shampoo conditioner or shower gel but shower good and hot. The Kettle top kept falling out of the kettle whilst filling teapot or cups! All minor problems which would be easily addressed.

I’ve loved my room number six. The shower was great. The room was a very good size and the decorations were totally awesome. I loved the wallpaper and the fact that the wallpaper even covered the door on the inside. A particular shout out to Carrie who went so over and above to help her guests. Due to the rain, I had trouble getting a taxi for the two early morning trips I needed to take and Carrie just took me there to the station. I am still so in all the fact that she just volunteered and did it for me.

Nice big bed, big bathroom. Included breakfast was delicious. Check out at 11, which allows you to take a little nap after ;). Also the staff, Rachel, was most kind to our little dog and spoiled her with treats and pets. The hotel overall is very dog friendly: towels to wipe their muddy paws at the entrance, a comfy big dog bed with treats in the room and you can even enjoy breakfast in the lounge with your pet. For this, they will get a little dog-chair and you can order dog sausages for your pet. Overall super cute experience.

The location was great, right along the seafront in Oban. The place was spotless and in excellent condition. But what set it apart for us was the staff and the overall service. Carrie was informative and friendly throughout our stay. From the warm welcome, to helpful information during our stay, through to the friendly goodbye to us and our dog on departure, she and the rest of the staff made the visit one we hope to repeat. Breakfast, too, was well executed and made for a nice start to each day.

This was a somewhat last minute trip for us, and it worked out great. The weather in Scotland during October is...well...the weather in Scotland in October. But even with the rain storm the room made an excellent spot for an evening in.

Decor throughout property is beautiful, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Our woodland cottage was cozy and comfy, and the location is great for exploring Oban on foot. The team and facilities are also VERY dog friendly, which is really nice. Loved the honesty bar and lounge set up.

Parking at the property is very limited, but more so at the moment as there is a skip and scaffolding at he front of the property. This didn’t affect our view - but I imagine not so nice for the sea-view property - but it did make parking the car very difficult. The bathroom could have been cleaner, and more guest-ready, we only had half a roll of loo roll provided. We wrongly expected a wood burner in the cottage - as the listing includes “fireplace” and cottage photos showed logs - but it is an electric fire and logs are decorative.

Location was fab, a beautiful view from the terrace overlooking the sea, lovely coastal 10 minute walk into the town centre. Choice for breakfast was excellent and as a bonus you get fresh orange and pastries delivered outside your door before breakfast. We had our own patio seats of our room which was amazing if you just wanted to relax. Rooms were supplied with toiletries , room supplies with, hairdryer, iron and as an added bonus a magnified mirror which I really appreciated.

A level 15 min walk from town, 26 is a small elegant and stylishly decorated hotel. It feels opulent and was very clean and comfortable. Everything there felt special and we were treated professionally by an excellent staff. Our room had a fabulous sea view and an exceptional luxury bathroom. Breakfast was excellent in an open kitchen restaurant with a view of the chef at work. Service there also first class. All diets are catered for, including vegan and gluten free.
