No breakfast or meal plan with this guesthouse but there are plenty of places to eat nearby. Room was small but adequate for my needs and was both clean and comfortable. My room was at the rear of the property and there was no noise from the busy road at the front so I enjoyed a quiet couple of nights. Good value for money as a stopover for work as accommodation in Oban can be a nightmare in the height of the tourist season.

The property faces onto a busy one way street so you're stepping from the small enclosed front garden and directly onto the road. There's no pavement there and at busy times it can be a challenge crossing to and from the property. Be quick to cross and don't rely on drivers slowing down or stopping for you! Despite this, probably the biggest gripe was the plumbing. Shower facilities were good but every time you flushed the toilet, the pipes rattled and groaned like a poltergeist shaking the room. I was praying not to have a calling during the small hours and awakening the whole building!

Clean and comfortable bed, room, and bathroom. Nice and warm, with a fan provided if it gets too warm. Outside is a very busy and noisy road, so it's best to keep the window, which is double-glazed glazed shut to stop the noise. You will need to make sure you take whatever shower products you use, as all that is provided is handwash. For the price I paid, I didn't mind. I will say that just across the road is a Farmfoods which has a lot of bargains, so I just popped over and got what I needed.

A small fridge would have been nice.

There were a few teething problems like the door to the toilet came off its runners and the TV was impossible to control but Steve swiftly came to our aid. The room is a bit small and being in the attic had sloping ceilings. Also the extractor in the bathroom didn't work. On the plus side the duvet was a very sensible summer variety and the location was very good being close to the centre of town.

The location was excellent right across the street from a small inexpensive local market and a famous fish & chips restaurant & takeout was just down the street. The room was large and commodious with plenty of hot water. The train station is about a ten minute walk through downtown & the waterfront with no stairs to negotiate.

The 2 flights of stairs leading to the top floor where our room was and the fact that taxis were confused between “Dunmoore Guesthouse” and not “Glenmoore Guesthouse” which is on the same street.

The property is located just a short walk from the centre of Oban and the seafront, with plenty of shops and restaurants around. The room was clean, modern and the bed was super comfortable. It was also an amazing size for a single room, with plenty of space, mirrors and a storage unit for clothes. The bathroom was spacious and clean. There’s no breakfast but there is a tea/coffee station in the room and plenty of options nearby. Steve, the owner, was really friendly and helpful. I arrived off my train at 11:30 and was just hanging about, so was very thankful when he messaged me before check in to let me know my room was ready and I could come early.

There was nothing I didn’t like, it was a great stay and I’d absolutely go back the next time I’m in Oban. There is a little noise from the hallway as people make their way to their rooms but once they’re in them, you can’t hear anything (I slept so well while I was there). Just a note, that there’s no traditional reception so people aren’t surprised but the owner was around and very easy to contact.

was nice and warm when i arrived and the heating came on following morning for me around 4am as i had to get an early ferry crossing to mull at 5.15am . comfortable sleep in comfortable bed. great location for the ferry and shops/cafes restaurants was great but i didnt really go out as had such a long drive up from london i needed to get as much sleep as i could. was a small tv in the room also! A pretty good hot shower in the bathroom too! parking spaces directly outside when i arrived around 6.30pm was great too!

no tea bags only nescafe coffee sachets. not enough milk sachets. and rarely now use dairy/milk. use oat milk.

The location was perfect for walking into town or along the front. I loved how clean everything was. The bed was very comfortable and I have a back injury. The room was spotless as was the bedding and towels. I was made very welcome and given keys to come and go as I pleased. I appreciated that I felt very safe here as that is so important to a solo female guest. I will definitely book here next time I visit Oban.

I would have appreciated a small chair to sit and read, instead of having to sit on the bed. Other than that everything was perfect.

The location is excellent and parking isn't too far. Photos included. Having an ensuite with hot water. It's very clean. It smells nice. We were greeted on arrival. It's really warm. You can turn the radiator down or off in the room.

The bed was too hard for me. As in other reviews the light comes in through the curtains. You have to ask for more toilet rolls. There's no room service. There's no breakfast. You have to pay to park during the day.

Steve the host was great. The location was good, easy walk to everywhere. Shower was OK and hot. Despite being on a busy road, we heard no traffic noise.

The room was small but met our needs as we were there only 1 night. You do have to park up the street or in the parking lot up the road, but it was still convenient, and we only paid up to 6 pm, and it allowed us to be in there until 9am the next morning.

Excellent location. Within walking distance of the town, the ferry terminal and very central for travelling to areas around Oban. Steve was friendly and helpful and suggested places to visit.

It wasn't so much about what I didn't like but the shower wasn't the best but overall it's an ideal spot. The shop across the road was great too.
