Location was great food was excellent and the staff very approachable and friendly

We had a small dog with us and were really surprised to find carpets throughout upstairs and in the bedrooms…. Even though our bedroom was lovely and spacious ( noticed a big stain on the carpet) surely it would be more sense to hard floor all the rooms that were dog friendly and of course the entrance and stairs carpet throughout. I understand about the cost to do this it’s just something maybe the landlord should think about…. Apart from that we had a lovely stay and would definately not hesitate to stay there again.

Cozy little inn with a good sized room. Staff was very friendly and there was a nice variety of options for breakfast. If you're travelling with the car, it is easy to reach and has good connections to all directions.

Room had nothing to put your luggage on (having it on the floor is not so nice), and bathroom had absolutely no hooks - where is one supposed to put all four towels? This is however an easy fix and by no means any big minus to the lovely place. In addition, something caused in the upper floor where our room was a low, continuous, very penetrating pumping sound which was really hard to bear.

Outstanding location with beautiful view of the water. Near bus stop to Oban. Marvelous pub with lots of character. Clean rooms, well appointed. Lovely and friendly staff.

We were there during a warm spell and the rooms were quite hot— and took a very long time to cool down at night. Only one window to open, and no fans available. While pub is absolutely lovely, the area they call the restaurant is not— a stuffy room with no windows and an ugly pink neon light. Reservations are needed to eat at the pub— make sure to specify you want a reservation there.

The room was very hot making it difficult to be in and to sleep. No aircon, to be fair we didn't raise it with staff, they may have had portable aircon units. There was not enough staff working when we went into breakfast, there were several empty tables that hadnt been cleared, which left us the option of one which would not have been our first choice. The two girls that were covering the service were very nice but rushed off their feet, they just needed one more pair of hands. We waited to order drinks, then waited again to order breakfast.

The location was very pleasant as there is a wonderful view, the room was more than comfortable with a very good quality shower. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was exceptionally good with very hospitable staff.

We did not think the breakfast was that good, bacon was overcooked (hard) as were the tattie scones. My partner asked if there were any alternatives to what was listed on the breakfast menu, the server asked what are you thinking ? my partner said is it possible to have an omelette ? the reply was No ! Why ask the question if it was going to be a no ? I could knock an omelette up in 3 minutes and it's just eggs, hardly a huge request.

Good variety of lovely cooked breakfasts & evening meal menu in the bar as restaurant was closed for refurbishment. Quiet location with fabulous view and off street parking. Clean, spacious, comfortable warm room. Nice modern furniture, fittings & carpets, sadly being spoiled by thoughtless clientele who don’t wipe their feet etc. Comfortable bed. Great power shower & stacks of hot water.

Fire looked attractive on website but wasn’t lit (January). Some noise carried between rooms & floorboards creaked. At times seemed as if ‘kitchen’ couldn’t be bothered…menu choice not available, 2 tables served warm bread as toast, no more croissants & almost reluctantly served us “fish & chips only” when dinner serving time was cut short without informing us though we had been staying several days. Unused towels were removed for washing but tea facilities unwashed & bed not made (though it is an inn not a hotel so perhaps standard practice?)

The room was immaculate and beautifully furnished. The view from the balcony was magnificent. Cooked breakfasts were good and the helpings were very generous. All of the staff that we met were were friendly and nothing was too much trouble

Breakfast was good if you wanted a cooked breakfast but the choice of food for a continental breakfast was very limited in comparison to other hotels in a similar price range that we have stayed in where there was a lovely range of breads and rolls, a much wider range of fruit and a much greater choice of cereals. It would have been a nice touch to have had better toiletries in the bathroom - say soaps, shampoo, body lotion in a range such as Arran Aromatics.

Over the years we have stayed at the Oyster Inn on many occasions. It has recently been transformed with bright new rooms overlooking the estuary. Rooms with small balconies (complete with seats and table). Even in early April it was a delight to sit out and admire the view. The bar area is now their restaurant and the food is just as good as it ever was. Staff are cheerful and helpful.

Just a note - if you cannot get parked at the front of the property there is a car park at the rear. At the moment you must walk at the road side ( pavement) to access reception - some ongoing building works at the side of the property. Not an issue unless you have mobility problems.

Breakfast was really good, good selection of items and lovely service to the table for the main breakfast. We had dinner the night before and menu choice was great.The fish dishes we had were excellent. The location was fantastic for our needs. Visiting family and a short distance from Oban itself.

The room looked onto the courtyard. When curtains open felt exposed to other guests passing by.- suggest a voile The second twin bed was poorly accessible in the narrow inlay at the back of the toilet area. No surface for the kettle to sit to boil safely near a plug. Also the accessibility of the kettle on the high shelf , too high for a person with disabilities to reach to. The position of the tv couldn’t be seen from the inlay bed.

Although it was a last minute get away and I knew I wasn't going to be getting a loch view room with a balcony, it was still an absolutely cracking wee night away. Check in was so easy by one of the bar staff who came right into reception when we entered the hotel. He booked us in for dinner that evening and nothing was a problem. The food was amazing, (no I'm not just saying that because there was apple crumble and custard on the specials board). The rugby was on all the tv's and all the folk in the hotel were avidly watching. The room was nice and warm and we both had a very comfortable night. Breakfast was excellent and very filling. Cereal, tea, coffee, a full fried breakfast and finished of with toast with jam. 11am check out made for a relaxed morning ready for our drive back the Fife. I'll definitely be looking to come back up again. 10/10.
