FANTASTIC LOCATION ON THE SEA FRONT WITH GREAT SEA VIEWS. The hotel is a small very well maintained boutique gem in a comfortable Victorian mansion. The staff were very friendly and they were extremely attentive. The hotel’s italian themed restaurant was exceptional with an excellent menu for both breakfast and dinner. The room was a little small though very comfortable and clean. The room was a little chilly - though to be fair the weather was appalling! There is no lift so there are a lot of stairs, but exercise is good for you apparently! We will very happily return.

The room was beautifully decorated, lived up to my idea of boutique hotel. However it was a bit on the small side for the price and decor a bit dark (for make up, etc). Also a bit hot till we worked out the heating. But styled to perfection. Bit disappointing that there was a pallet of slate in the car parking spaces next to the electric charging points. Brownie points for having them but they were inaccessible the weekend we were there. Staff were amazing! Decor in the bar and restaurant just do stylish. Location of hotel just on the edge of town was perfect. Enjoyed beautiful sunset whilst enjoying a cocktail in the bar. Breakfast was amazing. We had a meal in the restaurant, one of us very happy, the other underwhelmed with pasta dish. On the whole had a fantastic stay. Thank you!

Hotel was beautifully decorated. Rooms were immaculate, comfortable and well presented. Hotel was spotless. Staff were friendly and accommodating. One of the nicest breakfasts we've had at a hotel! a 10/10 from us - definitely a place we'll be visiting again soon.

The restaurant is popular with hotel guest and locals so I'd recommend booking the restaurant in advance, we didn't and couldn't get a table for dinner, however, there are plenty of local bars and restaurants to pick from. You have to choose your breakfast the night before, we were initially hesitant on this, it was worth it though as breakfast was calm, relaxed and staff made us feel spoiled!

Everything about our stay here was absolutely amazing. From the minute we arrived the staff could not have been more helpful and a room upgrade for my husband’s birthday was a wonderful surprise! The room was spotless with everything and more required for our stay. The largest, fluffiest pillows, beautiful decor and an amazing view. We ate in the hotel’s restaurant Porcini. Absolutely delicious! Again the staff were wonderful and the dining room itself quirky and welcoming. Breakfast was a real treat with delicious eggs Benedict and a view of the sea. Perfect in every way and we could not recommend a stay here highly enough. Thank you all!

Lovely stay. The rooms were decorated to a very high standard and clean. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was small but well decorated and perfectly functional. The shower had great water pressure and there were good quality toiletries provided. Staff were super friendly and helpful throughout. The restaurant and lounge are beautifully decorated and really cosy. We had an evening meal in the hotel's Italian restaurant, Porcini, which was delicious. The breakfast was good but not great. The granola and porridge were lovely, but I had eggs Florentine, which lacked flavour and was a bit on the soggy side. Overall it was a fantastic stay and the staff could not have been better. We will definitely be back.

This hotel was absolutely fantastic! We loved everything about it. The staff (particularly Sarah) were the most hospitable people we've ever met. Our room was upgraded on arrival as which was a lovely surprise and made the stay all the better. The room had a lovely view and although was small had everything we needed including gowns and a coffee machine. The hotel is beautifully decorated, dark and gothic with some beautiful art deco pictures. And the breakfast it out of this world - a two course menu chosen in advance! Just wow! Highly recommend.

The location was very convenient to downtown Oban - a lovely, short walk to town. The setting was lovely - right on the harbor - terrific view of the surrounding areas. The Inn itself was just grand. The decor of the entire facility was so interesting, warm and an awesome combination of antiques mixed with more modern furniture and decor was really fun. Our amenities in our room were outstanding - all the little things were so nice (the high-end kettle and nespresso machines, the array of tea choices, the soaps and lotion, the careful lighting choices taking design and end-user experience into account, and the completely comfortable bed, rich pillows and bedding were a huge plus for sleep, and the room’s view with comfortable chairs to enjoy it were really memorable for us. The restaurant was fantastic. The breakfast was truly bountiful and delicious and dinner was very good as well - lots of choices if one wants to eat there for more than one night which we did. The front room and back study area were totally relaxing and enjoyable to hang out in. The staff were really helpful, attentive, and easy to work with.

I suggest closing the kitchen door at night so the guests in the back area don’t have to listen to the goings on in the kitchen - loud clean up and staff discussion- these kinda echoed through out that back area in the later evening - just a nit picky bit.

We had a lovely stay in their Woodland room which is located at the back of the hotel, so is nice and quiet with a view of the trees. The room was decorated to a high standard and the amenities were great! The hotel itself was very tastefully decorated and the bar area was cosy with a stunning view over the water. Breakfast was brilliant! Really delicious fresh ingredients and the staff were very attentive. We ate dinner in the hotel and would highly recommend also. We’ll definitely be coming back if passing through Oban! Thanks :)

Location is perfect, hotel is beautifully presented, staff are friendly and helpful. We were given a short tour upon our arrival. Our room was very nice. Good choice for breakfast which was ordered upon our arrival and very tasty. The porridge with whisky and honey intrigued us and turned out to be delicious, although it could have been a bit hotter..

Musty smell in bathroom, we kept fan on which helped. Pillows on bed were uncomfortable, kept going flat, obviously feather filled, slightly irritating. Porridge could have been a bit hotter otherwise very tasty.

Great design, beautiful location and building, kind and helpful staff, great food (at the restaurant) and breakfast.

We stayed in room no. 8. It was very warm inside, which is not a problem in Scotland usually, you just open the window. But this room's window is facing the other half of this semi-detached house, exactly that spot where a vent is running 24/7. I could only sleep with earplugs, this is really annoying when everything else is given for a good stay. The staff tried to do its best but you can see there's clearly a need for at least one additional person (the ladies serving the dinner were responsible for the bar and the breakfast service was handling check-outs as well). It is is still somewhat OK but it is not what you expect in the "best boutique hotel of Scotland 2023".
