We needed overnight accommodation at short notice and DunMoore was perfect for our needs. Andy met us at the door and after that we were free to come and go as we liked. The room was very comfortable and we were provided with tea, coffee and biscuits. The bathroom is small but there was a good supply of hot water and towels. Ideal for ferry travellers.

The rooms are close together so there is some noise as people come and go, but earplugs are provided. The guest house is on a busy road, but closing the windows blocks most of the road noise and Oban is fairly quiet at night.

The rooms were exactly as they look in the photographs, bright, airy, clean, cosy and welcoming. The beds were comfortable, the en-suite bathroom immaculate and the tea and coffee making facilities were great. The TV was a great size with plenty channels. Our weather wasn’t that good but had no hesitations heading back to our lovely room for a cup of coffee, a read of the paper and to watch some TV. We only briefly met the hosts (both were lovely and very welcoming) as other than picking up our key on arrival we had no need to. We let ourselves in and out the property and on departure the key was left in a box. The location was perfect, only a short walk into town, right next to the car park and with easy access to the road back out of town.

There is nothing myself or my husband disliked.

Joyce is very friendly and helpful. The room was certainly cozy. Small but had almost everything I needed.

The remote for the TV may have needed new batteries. A few times I just gave up trying to turn it on or off. The height of the TV is not intended for anyone under 6' 5" tall. It is way too high and very uncomfortable to try to watch. The only other thing was that there was no soap in the bathroom, only sanitizer. That is not the same thing. I have never seen that used in a hotel setting. In the photo of my room, there is definitely a bottle of hand soap. There was one tiny packet of shower soap/shampoo. Not enough for the amount of hair I have. Ended up not having anything for the body.

Guest house is a 5 min walk from shops, pubs etc. Very near the front. We had a family room with one double & a single bed. Room was very clean and beds were comfy. The room was larger than average and had plenty storage drawers with an area for hanging clothes. There was tea, coffee etc and a mini fridge. TV had excellent reception and there were two comfy seats. Toiletries were also provided. Hosts were always quick to respond to any questions. Couple of minor issues but would stay again if ever in the area.

We were in Room 2. The shade on the bedside lamp was in a bit of a state. There were chips on front of one bedside cabinet. Minor issues that I don't think would cost much to fix.

The location was excellent. Our room was large and roomy and the settee was a bonus. It was very clean. Josephine was a hoot, friendly and helpful.

There were no toiletries. Luckily my friend had brought all the essentials and I wasn't worried about it. Cooked breakfast was unavailable due to shortage of staff. We ended up eating in Coasters bistro which had the beautiful view across the harbour and sea ( 300 yds from the guest house ).

The location was a short walk from the town centre and the train station. The hosts welcomed me on arrival and then left me to my own devices. The bed was very comfortable.

I was in one of the upper rooms with a sloping ceiling by the bed which meant being careful when using the bed side chair. No sea view as not on the waterfront but these are both very minor niggles

Really considerate hosts, they had earplugs available because of the street noise and the host was really kind and helpful, even let us is when we accidentally locked ourselves out around midnight. Location was perfect for shopping and food, beautiful view just out the back of the house.

Only one minor inconvenience was the noise the bathroom door made when moving, not a problem in day but disturbed my friend in the night. Very very small when considering all the great things about our stay.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was very spacious, we liked the cookies and all the coffee and tea provided!

We would have liked a table in our room, or at least some chairs, instead there was a couch that didn't look very clean or comfortable, so we did not use it. But overall, everything else was clean and this did not affect our stay so much

The hosts are both very friendly, I can only recommend this guesthouse. Very clean, the bed was really comfortable. I had a single room so not so much space (I didn't need it so no problem there). My friends stayed in a double room under the roof and were really happy there, very friendly and airy room with more space. Even if we received some earplugs I hadn't any problem with the traffic noise (my room was on the street and I'm a light sleeper) after 10 p.m. and before 6 a.m. it's really quiet. Breakfast very good, freshly cooked (you have to fill the form the evening before).

The shower had a lot of pressure so a bit uncomfortable. Double room didn't have this shower so maybe it was only this single room.

We loved the DunMoore guesthouse, it was so comfortable and cosy, just the perfect place to stay in the lovely town of Oban. I didn't want to leave - I miss it! The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. Breakfast was a highlight, with generous portions for the price.

The mirrors were a bit low - but that could also just be our family being very tall!
