All the staff were amazing, very attentive and helpful. Friendly, kind and polite. Nothing was a bother to them. Any issues we had were dealt with swiftly and professionally.

I use a rollator to walk and there was a flight of stairs at the entrance to the hotel. To enter and exit the hotel I had to go through the basement deliveries entrance to access an elevator to get to reception or my room. To do this I had to ask at reception to be let out as they keep the door locked and then either my husband had to go to reception or I had to phone reception to get back in. The staff were amazing though and I was never made to feel I was a nuisance to them. They are trying to get planning permission for an external solution which I hope they get.

Well equipped, spacious room with lovely view over the esplanade. Good choice at the buffet breakfast. Staff were polite and efficient. The lady who checked us out - Gloria- was lovely, very friendly and polite.

Everything in the hotel was fine, only concern was the very limited parking at the hotel. We were lucky and managed to move into a space once that morning's guests had checked out. Parking otherwise is in a public car park ( free between 6pm and 9am) at the end of the esplanade. Quite pricey considering there was only very limited parking, but that seemed on a par with other places in the town.

The location, the staff, the shower and the cleanliness, all 10/10

The room was less than in photos, and some obvious amenities were missing (like reading lights above the bed, a mini fridge). Also, the exterior of the hotel is really off-putting, and the lounge area is not really nice, seems like a conference hotel area. The breakfast had a wide selection, but several items were low quality. Most of the fruit for example was too old to eat, coffee was cheap instant coffee etc. It felt like most of the items were purchased and put together there, rather than cooked in-house. To give this hotel a 9 or 10 overall for the price we paid (105 gbp for the room with sea view and breakfast), there needs to be some improvement in both the common areas, the room(s) and the breakfast.

Love Oban , hotel immaculate, staff extremely friendly and helpful especially the night manager who very kindly sourced me a fan as room was far too hot but couldn't open window for the noise outside as mentioned below.

Love Oban usually but stay marred by very late night noise from takeaway behind hotel. Realise it's not hotel fault but they may have had other complaints alongside local complaints that they take it up with local council licensing. I'm sure others may have experienced this at the back of the hotel. Shame as stay was very good standard all round otherwise.

Location was fantastic.It was a clean sea view room, comfortable beds,clean bathroom, with lovely creams and potions.Breakfast was good with a nice view..Reception very helpful.

We could not ventilate the room, there was no way to open the windows more than an inch. We woke up and the room was boiling, with very thick duvets.Still had a good sleep because of the comfortable bed. Very disappointed that the bar had closed at 9.45pm on a Saturday! We had to run to a supermarket to buy alcohol to bring back to your hotel. Sadly we could not have a cappuccino at breakfast as the machine was broken.

For me space is important, the room was good as it had an extra area between the room and the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable.

The room has very old windows that cannot be closed tightly, and all evening and half the night there was a strong smell of curry and smoke, apparently coming from the restaurant opposite. I have allergies and asthma, so I suffered from these smells very much. Also, in the hall there was a diffuser of unknown origin, from which steam came out, and this smell also caused my asthma to worsen.The food in the restaurant was great, I had a main course. But I couldn't order dessert because after finishing the meal the waiter didn't come to me and didn't offer me a dessert menu. After waiting for about half an hour I just left. Apparently the restaurant is understaffed.

The hotel was central to everything in Oban. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We were on the 3rd floor but there is a modern lift so no problem there. The staff were very good and always smiling. They provided an excellent service, in particular Andy the waiter/bar tender who we probably dealt with most as we ate dinner on both nights of our stay. Andy was helpful with anything we needed and was very professional. The hotel has been refurbished and looks great. The restaurant looked great and the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend of family.

We couldn’t get Netflix on our TV for some reason. The kettle in our room was in a kind of drawer under the table which was a bit awkward to get to. The red light from the TV was on stand by and we couldn’t turn the TV off so it was kind of annoying when trying to go to sleep. The bar closed too early imo if you wanted a beer after 10pm These are just small things and we are just nit picking. They did not in any way stop us from enjoying our stay.

It was a good central location. The staff were exceptional and couldn’t do enough for you.

Some facilities could be improved on. Couldn’t open the windows in the bedroom which could be an issue in the summer months. The TV didn’t work due to no signal. Whilst the lighting was good, it could be improved on as it was bright and there was no lamps in the room so you either had all lights on or off. Was awkward trying to use the tea tray due to its location. Although there was a small dressing table mirror close to a socket wound have preferred a socket beside the larger mirror.

The location is excellent, room comfy (Room 17?), nice beddings, cozy bedroom and bathroom, shower etc, and clean, lots of electrical outlets. The breakfast was good but the breakfast crew was under staffed the morning we had breakfast (we only went to breakfast 1 out 3 mornings because we had to go on a tour before 7). The best part of staying at Muthu Regents is the staff, especially the front desk crew - 5 star service from Ramona and Glory! We will be back next year. ....puffins breeding season

3 nights was too short to enjoy Oban.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is very easy to navigate and had a very easy, laid-back, peaceful feel about it. Which was nice. Our breakfast was good, and the view from the room was lovely. I would use it again as the location is fantastic.

The room was considerably smaller than expected (the door opens against the bed) The bathroom was OK but definitely could have been cleaner. The 'seating area' in the room description was actually one fold away type seat, which was difficult to place anywhere due to limited space. The exterior glass in the windows of the whole hotel could have done with a clean, especially in the dining area. The exterior of the hotel could really do with a bit of upkeep.
