The location, the staff, the shower and the cleanliness, all 10/10

The room was less than in photos, and some obvious amenities were missing (like reading lights above the bed, a mini fridge). Also, the exterior of the hotel is really off-putting, and the lounge area is not really nice, seems like a conference hotel area. The breakfast had a wide selection, but several items were low quality. Most of the fruit for example was too old to eat, coffee was cheap instant coffee etc. It felt like most of the items were purchased and put together there, rather than cooked in-house. To give this hotel a 9 or 10 overall for the price we paid (105 gbp for the room with sea view and breakfast), there needs to be some improvement in both the common areas, the room(s) and the breakfast.

Location was fantastic.It was a clean sea view room, comfortable beds,clean bathroom, with lovely creams and potions.Breakfast was good with a nice view..Reception very helpful.

We could not ventilate the room, there was no way to open the windows more than an inch. We woke up and the room was boiling, with very thick duvets.Still had a good sleep because of the comfortable bed. Very disappointed that the bar had closed at 9.45pm on a Saturday! We had to run to a supermarket to buy alcohol to bring back to your hotel. Sadly we could not have a cappuccino at breakfast as the machine was broken.

For me space is important, the room was good as it had an extra area between the room and the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable.

The room has very old windows that cannot be closed tightly, and all evening and half the night there was a strong smell of curry and smoke, apparently coming from the restaurant opposite. I have allergies and asthma, so I suffered from these smells very much. Also, in the hall there was a diffuser of unknown origin, from which steam came out, and this smell also caused my asthma to worsen.The food in the restaurant was great, I had a main course. But I couldn't order dessert because after finishing the meal the waiter didn't come to me and didn't offer me a dessert menu. After waiting for about half an hour I just left. Apparently the restaurant is understaffed.

The hotel was central to everything in Oban. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We were on the 3rd floor but there is a modern lift so no problem there. The staff were very good and always smiling. They provided an excellent service, in particular Andy the waiter/bar tender who we probably dealt with most as we ate dinner on both nights of our stay. Andy was helpful with anything we needed and was very professional. The hotel has been refurbished and looks great. The restaurant looked great and the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend of family.

We couldn’t get Netflix on our TV for some reason. The kettle in our room was in a kind of drawer under the table which was a bit awkward to get to. The red light from the TV was on stand by and we couldn’t turn the TV off so it was kind of annoying when trying to go to sleep. The bar closed too early imo if you wanted a beer after 10pm These are just small things and we are just nit picking. They did not in any way stop us from enjoying our stay.

It was a good central location. The staff were exceptional and couldn’t do enough for you.

Some facilities could be improved on. Couldn’t open the windows in the bedroom which could be an issue in the summer months. The TV didn’t work due to no signal. Whilst the lighting was good, it could be improved on as it was bright and there was no lamps in the room so you either had all lights on or off. Was awkward trying to use the tea tray due to its location. Although there was a small dressing table mirror close to a socket wound have preferred a socket beside the larger mirror.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is very easy to navigate and had a very easy, laid-back, peaceful feel about it. Which was nice. Our breakfast was good, and the view from the room was lovely. I would use it again as the location is fantastic.

The room was considerably smaller than expected (the door opens against the bed) The bathroom was OK but definitely could have been cleaner. The 'seating area' in the room description was actually one fold away type seat, which was difficult to place anywhere due to limited space. The exterior glass in the windows of the whole hotel could have done with a clean, especially in the dining area. The exterior of the hotel could really do with a bit of upkeep.

the staff were efficient and friendly refurb has been done to a good standard and the public areas are bright and comfortable food at dinner and breakfast was nicely cooked with a good choice of items bedroom and bathroom were nicely decorated with crisp white linen and big soft towels lovely view of the harbour and within easy walking to the shops etc the hotel has no parking but the public carpark is only across the road and free between 6pm and 9am weekdays or 1pm on sunday super large bed

only one chair in bedroom no where near a mirror to plug in hairdryer hotel bar closed at 9.30pm on a Saturday night

Staff at reception were very pleasant. Perfect location 8mmand nice view of the bay from room. Didn't use restaurant or bar so can't comment.

For a hotel that has recently been refurbished an otherwise clean room was let down by unfinished paintwork on ceiling, paint splatters on shower room floor with gapping between floor and skirting no latch plate on shower room door facing also could do with a shelf for toiletries. Meant to be dual shower heads but only one fixed head fitted, couldn't get water to start with because push button on shower very firm had to be pushed in with force but when working was fine. Room uncomfortably warm and stuffy at times, choice between no air in room or outside noise, too heavy a quilt on bed and pillows too thick although bed was big and comfortable. Wifi affecting digital tv performance and internet at times.

We loved this hotel. Rooms are beautiful, all refurbished and clean. We had a sea view room and we have seen the ships passing by from our window which was quite nice. Breakfast was great, there was a great selection of different things and everything was tasty. What we also really liked was the staff. Everyone we met there was just super nice they were always making sure we are feeling welcomed. Breakfast staff and reception staff in particular. Thank you we had a great time and would definitely return 🙂

On arrival the receptionist Ramona was so pleasant and very helpful and even upgraded the room for my parents colin and Irene stayed in room 32 she couldn’t be more helpful to my parents after my mum fell as well she went above and beyond and she is a credit to your team please pass on my special thanks for looking after my parents so well. Room was beautiful and very clean with a beautiful view and they also said the breakfast was lovely and so much choice and would love to stay with you again..
