This was a delightful experience! So beautifully and comfortably appointed. Between the great AC and lovely bed, we slept quite well. The included breakfast was wonderful to be able to linger over coffee and delicious food right downstairs instead of trekking up the street each morning The lounge and cocktails were a beautiful way to unwind at the end of the day while we played cards. We had a scrumptious dinner here too. I highly recommend No17 on all counts.

There needs to be a wall mounted mirror above the desk for hair dryer use. All that was provided was a tiny freestanding mirror

Stayed here one night on our honeymoon trip. Loved the decor and the vibe of the place. Perfect location, we had dinner and breakfast there. Really enjoyed all the food, good quality and it felt luxurious. Staff all very helpful and accommodating. Gorgeous views from our room and from restaurant/ bar area. Very nice shower and comfortable bed and robes provided.

If we were being picky the restaurant is small and can get crowded. There is one seat with a view which is in high demand. When we arrived there were a lot of people in the reception area and bags left to accumulate there. The front door is also prone to slam which could be heard from room however there is a sign asking people to close it.

Room 13. the unique decor. the location was at the quiet end of town. the room was cool with really good curtains. coffee machine with fresh coffee. the free samples of shampoo etc. robes (although we didn't use them) parking, taking up the penultimate space.

the room was very small. no where to hang clothes. (hangers were in the coffee making cupboard) no mirror in the room, only the bathroom. made it very hard to dry my hair in the morning. the light under the door all night. there were very loud voices at 7am, coming from reception, presumably. breakfast was a pre order of everything. no room on the very small table for all the large pieces of crockery. we had to ask for drink replenishment, then only coffee not juices were offered. quite expensive for one night.

FANTASTIC LOCATION ON THE SEA FRONT WITH GREAT SEA VIEWS. The hotel is a small very well maintained boutique gem in a comfortable Victorian mansion. The staff were very friendly and they were extremely attentive. The hotel’s italian themed restaurant was exceptional with an excellent menu for both breakfast and dinner. The room was a little small though very comfortable and clean. The room was a little chilly - though to be fair the weather was appalling! There is no lift so there are a lot of stairs, but exercise is good for you apparently! We will very happily return.

The room was beautifully decorated, lived up to my idea of boutique hotel. However it was a bit on the small side for the price and decor a bit dark (for make up, etc). Also a bit hot till we worked out the heating. But styled to perfection. Bit disappointing that there was a pallet of slate in the car parking spaces next to the electric charging points. Brownie points for having them but they were inaccessible the weekend we were there. Staff were amazing! Decor in the bar and restaurant just do stylish. Location of hotel just on the edge of town was perfect. Enjoyed beautiful sunset whilst enjoying a cocktail in the bar. Breakfast was amazing. We had a meal in the restaurant, one of us very happy, the other underwhelmed with pasta dish. On the whole had a fantastic stay. Thank you!

Hotel was beautifully decorated. Rooms were immaculate, comfortable and well presented. Hotel was spotless. Staff were friendly and accommodating. One of the nicest breakfasts we've had at a hotel! a 10/10 from us - definitely a place we'll be visiting again soon.

The restaurant is popular with hotel guest and locals so I'd recommend booking the restaurant in advance, we didn't and couldn't get a table for dinner, however, there are plenty of local bars and restaurants to pick from. You have to choose your breakfast the night before, we were initially hesitant on this, it was worth it though as breakfast was calm, relaxed and staff made us feel spoiled!

Everything about our stay here was absolutely amazing. From the minute we arrived the staff could not have been more helpful and a room upgrade for my husband’s birthday was a wonderful surprise! The room was spotless with everything and more required for our stay. The largest, fluffiest pillows, beautiful decor and an amazing view. We ate in the hotel’s restaurant Porcini. Absolutely delicious! Again the staff were wonderful and the dining room itself quirky and welcoming. Breakfast was a real treat with delicious eggs Benedict and a view of the sea. Perfect in every way and we could not recommend a stay here highly enough. Thank you all!

Not a thing!

Lovely stay. The rooms were decorated to a very high standard and clean. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was small but well decorated and perfectly functional. The shower had great water pressure and there were good quality toiletries provided. Staff were super friendly and helpful throughout. The restaurant and lounge are beautifully decorated and really cosy. We had an evening meal in the hotel's Italian restaurant, Porcini, which was delicious. The breakfast was good but not great. The granola and porridge were lovely, but I had eggs Florentine, which lacked flavour and was a bit on the soggy side. Overall it was a fantastic stay and the staff could not have been better. We will definitely be back.

This hotel was absolutely fantastic! We loved everything about it. The staff (particularly Sarah) were the most hospitable people we've ever met. Our room was upgraded on arrival as which was a lovely surprise and made the stay all the better. The room had a lovely view and although was small had everything we needed including gowns and a coffee machine. The hotel is beautifully decorated, dark and gothic with some beautiful art deco pictures. And the breakfast it out of this world - a two course menu chosen in advance! Just wow! Highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay in their Woodland room which is located at the back of the hotel, so is nice and quiet with a view of the trees. The room was decorated to a high standard and the amenities were great! The hotel itself was very tastefully decorated and the bar area was cosy with a stunning view over the water. Breakfast was brilliant! Really delicious fresh ingredients and the staff were very attentive. We ate dinner in the hotel and would highly recommend also. We’ll definitely be coming back if passing through Oban! Thanks :)
