We would like to express our heartfelt thanks for the warm welcome and exceptional hospitality we received during our stay. The location was breathtaking, the view was truly unforgettable, and the comfort and cleanliness of the hotel exceeded our expectations. Special thanks to the entire staff for making our stay memorable. We’d like to extend our sincere appreciation to: • Sarah and Jesica for their kindness and patience — we truly apologize for all our many questions! • Lee for his cheerful spirit and warm welcome. • Stuart, Jhonni, and Pranav for their friendliness and attentiveness. • All the HK team, especially Gari and Cara, for their great work behind the scenes. • The kitchen chefs — Matthew, Kieran, Noel, and Geri — for the delicious meals we enjoyed. • CHRIS from the kitchen KP team for supporting the amazing dining experience. Your entire team made our stay truly special, and we are grateful for the experience. Warmest regards, Hanan and family

Beautiful and tranquil spot on the water. Our room was incredibly quiet and peaceful. We stayed during Storm Floris, which was quite eventful with a power cut during the day. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating, really going the extra mile to make sure we were safe and fed and looked after. Plenty of Board Games, snooker table, darts etc, meant it was a great place to be stuck inside for a day! Dinner and breakfast were lovely, and again, staff couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating with our dietaries.

Some of the rooms newly renovated some still to go, which will make it feel more up to date.

We really enjoyed our stay! The room was spotless and the facilities were all very well-maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I especially loved how dog-friendly the place was—there were free toys, snacks, and even poo bags provided, which was such a thoughtful touch. Plus, the nearby landmark is absolutely beautiful and made the location feel extra special. Highly recommend!

The game room could use a little bit of attention. The pool cues were quite worn, with only a couple still usable, and there was just one dart available. A bit of maintenance there would make the space much more enjoyable for guests.

Lovely hotel with excellent , very friendly and hardworking staff. The hotel is loch side, which is beautiful and accessible but it is not possible to walk around the loch very far. As you would expect there are plenty of midges both by the loch and in the wooded area to the back of the hotel, however the hotel even provides some insect repellent by the door if you forget yours. Beautiful setting but it is quite remote, about 7-10 miles at least on ( good quality) single track to hotel Staff all superb, food very good and a good price for the quality. We stayed in a suite room which was immaculate and very comfortable. We also took our dog, who was made extremely welcome and was very well catered for, with dog towels by the door(very handy after twice daily swims in loch). There was also water, treats and balls/toys for dogs at the door too, I would suggest tic treatments for your dog before you go and tic removers just incase.

We do like to go for a walk after dinner or out for dinner on an evening, however, this was restricted here for us due to the remoteness of the hotel. We therefore stayed out later through the day and ate at the hotel on the three nights of our stay. Although the food and service was excellent this might not suit everyone.

The location was amazing, beautiful surroundings, fantastic views. Room was a superb double, with everything you could ask for. Very dog friendly hotel, and plenty of space for dogs to relax, and a Loch to paddle in. Stuart was absolutely amazing in his service, from waiting to bar work, he went above the call of service, and his customers skills sre perfect, and should be recognised. His knowledge and skills are what this location need to assist new staff.

Unfortunately, the 1st day breakfast was poor. Dog owners were put in separate dining room to other guests, and had to go back k and forth to get breakfast. Toast was cold....no butter given, and had to go source from main diner, same when tea was brought in...no milk and had to go find. Hot buffet was actually stone cold, even though in hot plates !! This was raised qnd 2nd day was cooked to order. The evening menu does not change, and same 4 choices each day.

Our room was beautiful, roomy and had all the comforts: Incredible view of the loch, robe/slippers, iron/board, complimentary water and some delicious house-made cookies! We were only able to stay one night, and I would definitely add several more days to this stay in the future. The restaurant had views of the Loch, the bar was well stocked and there are many accommodations if traveling with your canines (balls, toys, towels to dry them off if they get wet by frolicking in the loch or just from rain). They have small blankets/wraps to sit outside on cold days. The staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in Dr. Johnson's Room.

We loved that the hotel was remote, however, if you are planning on traveling to and from Oban using this hotel as a base, just be cautioned that it is a 30-minute drive from Oban along some one lane roads. Be careful driving on rural roads in the UK. Also, there are only a few other places to eat in the area. We just ate at the hotel and the food was good, but if you are looking for other options only a few to choose from in the immediate area and not within walking distance.

The Hotel is a lot larger than I thought it would be with a number of cosy sitting rooms where you can sit and relax and see the surrounding countryside and wildlife. Our room ( Fyne)was huge and had a lovely bathroom and great views down the Loch. The cosy bar , manned by Sandy was welcoming and had a good choice of beers and Whiskeys and also served bar snacks . We ate in the Brasserie on our first night and enjoyed a good choice of local fair, Cullen skink, Home cured gravalax, Venison Stovie and smoked salmon on a pearl barley risotto. Couldn't manage a dessert. On the second night we booked for the 9 course tasting menu which at £65.00 a head was an absolute bargain, It was delicious and its served in a private dining room, very cosy and intimate a perfect treat for you and your partner. All in all we had a fantastic stay and will certainly be back. Thank you Michelle and all of the Staff

Breakfast although plentiful and a good choice is expensive at £17.95 a head so when you book make sure its included in your deal

Cannot stress just how much we enjoyed our stay here, it was fantastic. It is a hidden gem of a place, secluded and SO quiet and peaceful. The food was excellent (congrats to the whole kitchen team for the gorgeous taster menu!🩷) it is quirky and cosy but still spacious enough that you can always find somewhere secluded both inside and out. Without doubt the building could do with some money spent in it (come on the investors!! Speculate to accumulate, and you will!) And the main reason other than it’s a perfect wee bolthole? The staff, they are tremendous. Michelle, Lisa, Sandy and the whole team are next level in this business. They made the stay so memorable by just being so friendly, knowledgable and welcoming so bravo all. Now the next high praise is for its dog friendliness, out of this world!! Not like some places that purport to be but in fact place so many restrictions, Taychreggan is truly dog friendly and all the pooches there showed how much they appreciated it by being so well behaved. We cannot wait to book out next trip there and plan to make it a regular occurrence but I say again to the investors and owners, the place is functioning mostly on the goodwill of your staff, there are lots of improvements that could make this a true gem in Scotland’s hospitality crown, and you’d be mad not to do them. Loved it 👏

Despite having seen the photos and having read the reviews of other customers, I was amazed at the beauty of the whole place when I got there. The hotel is located in a wonderful spot by the shores of Loch Awe, yet the first impression of elegance and beauty you get is outmatched by the interior of the hotel and the professional and caring staff. Rooms are awesome and totally comfortable, while the halls of the hotel include dining rooms, a lounge bar and halls with sofa and boardgames, complete with a billiard hall. Just few meters outside the hotel a beautiful spot is set by the lake, with armchairs and brazers, a fairy garden with fairy dwellings overlooks the area and a private pier awaits curious customers over a lovely ironwrought archway covered in ivy. To put it in few words, this is a place you cannot miss if you plan to enjoy your time in the Argyll area. In my opinion, this is the perfect place to live an unforgettable experience.

Absolutely nothing. Everything was perfect.

It would be hard to find a more peaceful and tranquil setting. Lots of cosy wee nooks to relax in. Plus charming courtyards and loch-side tables and chairs outside. Great food. The hotel obviously has a talented chef. The chef went to some trouble to accommodate my wife's strong dislike of garlic and onions. Friendly staff. Lovely fresh shortbread in our room each day. A very nice touch.

More craft bears in the bar would be good. Other than the midges, I can't think of anything in particular.
