Room was excellent. Exceptionally clean. Nicely designed. Bar was good.

Cooked breakfast was booked for 0830 prompt I waited 35 mins for food to arrive late at 9.00 so didn't have time to eat it. Friend of mine who was staying elsewhere (Motorhome) wasn't allowed to join me for breakfast or even a coffee because they were a non-resident. We would happily have paid full price. My friends small dog was not allowed in the building. Even the bar area. We sat outside on the roadside benches. A lovely place with polite staff. Spoilt only by petty rules. Got the impression that staff or management were new and finding their feet. Hopefully they will settle in a relax a bit.

Warmly greeted by Brian on check-in who offered us a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful room 8. Room was decorated to a high standard with great facilities and spotlessly clean! We had dinner in the evening and thought the food was to a high quality with giant portions. Breakfast in the morning was again excellent quality and a nicely leisurely checkout of 11am. Exceptional value for money. Thank you; we will be back!

No onsite car park however parking was available just around the corner so not a problem at all.

We had a beautiful room which was very comfortable,the bed was super comfy and luxurious,had everything we could need. The restaurant food was delicious as was the breakfast and all the staff we encountered were really friendly and efficient.

The only thing we could find was lack of choice for vegetarians,my husband struggled to find an evening meal,there was one choice of main course which he had eaten at home the night before. He ended up having a starter with a salad,maybe it would be nice to offer at least 3 choices for those who don't eat meat or fish. The veggie breakfast was great, no problem's with that. I have to say this can happen in lots of places but many people are vegetarian these days.

The room was excellent. It was cosy and really well appointed with good lighting and electric blinds. A huge, extremely comfortable bed with a clean and modern bathroom, including a roll-top bath. Dinner was very good and breakfast was simple but very tasty using local ingredients and suppliers where they can.

Nothing to fault really. Even though there was some noise outside from the beer garden (we had the window open) it wasn’t loud or too late. And was fine with the windows closed.

I enjoyed breakfast and the hospitality and also the environment as it was very well set out and neatly maintained

I didn't enjoy my dinner experience, in this instance I tried the steak and found it to be a bad cut of meat and with not a lot of meat and little supporting the meal, I was left dissatisfied and still hungry, plus no one asked me about my meal and if it was satisfactory. I did not enjoy the location of the Dalesman in terms of the first impressions it gave me, as it was tucked away in the town centre and nowhere to practically park and unload your baggage. It was a disappointing town in general, as the streets were so narrow everyone had to park a few hundred metres away in pay parking areas, so I wont ever go again or recommend it to anyone else without that warning.

Every member of staff were warm, friendly, just lovely people! The room was amazing, just perfect. Loved the remotes for the blinds and windows etc, and the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom! The little added extras like that were great. The breakfast service and food were also brilliant. It’s always difficult staying away with a toddler but we just felt so relaxed. We’ll definitely be going back!

The only thing I could think of is that there is no parking available on site but we found a space with a short walk.

The evening meal was excellent - from the starter of Gin Cured Sea Trout, to the main of Hot Smoked Scottish Salmon and finishing with the Sticky Toffee Pudding! Pub Grub doesn't come better than that! My breakfast of porridge with honey and raisins kept my energy level up all day on a trck over the Howgills.

There was very little to dislike. The room for one was very comfortable, perfect for the lone traveller. Though perfectly adequate, the shower and toilet/washroom were a little tired. The bed was very soft, though I do prefer a firmer mattress. None of this is in any way a compleint! Just personal preference.

I was traveling by myself and only needed a single room, they only had a cottage left and amazingly the price of this cottage was less than many of the other single room B&B’s in the same area. Beautiful property and if I’m back in Sedberg I would definitely love to stay there with my partner. Great place to stay while exploring the area.

Can’t think of a single criticism.

Super quirky hotel which we loved. Staff were super friendly and very accommodating. Prices may be on the top side (remembering it was Easter Holidays) but you pay for what you get and we would not hesitate to stay again. We stayed 2 night and would have extended to 3 but was fully booked.

The two ladies who checked me and showed me to my room, and hosted dinner service were excellent - dealt with a busy night exceptionally well - a credit to the pub. The food and beer were excellent too. Recommendations for a local run was gratefully received too. Will certainly return!
