We were very warmly welcomed (including our two dogs). The bedroom was very clean with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was plentiful and of good quality. The dogs were treated to sausages so were not left out. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and therefore an asset to the business. Special mention must be made of both Alice and Helen who were unfailingly pleasant and hardworking and went out of their way to provide a very high level of service. They are to be commended. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Red Dragon Inn which proved to be the perfect base for our enjoyment of Kirkby Lonsdale itself and the Yorkshire Dales.

Absolutely first class, all staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was delicious and served by a lovely lady who was delightful and cheerful ( sorry I didn't get her name) pub area is very nice and our server ( Shaun) is a really nice person who knows exactly how to serve people in a polite and relaxed manner he is an asset to the business. All in all this is a terrific place to stay and we have no hesitation in recommending it. Thanks to everyone who made our visit a memorable one. Kind regards Frank and Linda.

Big room, comfortable bed, convenient easy walking to everything in KL. Best breakfast , really beautifully cooked and presented , worth the visit alone. Good value for money.

I don't mind other folk bringing dogs but a dog which barks very loudly everything the bell sounds to say a meal is ready to be served from the kitchen is funny the first time is bloody annoying subsequently and even more so over breakfast. Dog is a slow learner, owners were inconsiderate, staff should change the sign to "well behaved dogs" To be fair they did recognise the problem and stopped ringing the bell over breakfast.

Beautiful property in very good condition and well looked after.

Our room was ridiculously hot. I can only assume that the radiator valve was faulty as we were unable to turn down the radiator. There was also no way we could open the window to get fresh air and cool down, so my wife and I were uncomfortably hot and were unable to sleep for most of the night without resorting to soaking a couple of towels in cold water and covering ourselves with them.

The property was spotless and clean. The staff were wonderful and professional. We arrived the day prior to their menu change over and new tills. Their area staff were polite and friendly. The new tills were soon mastered by the Team. Jo, Tilly, Tom, Sharon and Chef were really helpful and polite. A welcome trait in these days were people ‘just go through the motions’ I / we would recommend the Red Dragon in Kirkby Lonsdale.

Parking is a bit awkward as the Red Dragon is in the one way system. Yet that is the same throughout Kirkby Lonsdale. We opted for paying for 3 days at one of the Municipal Car Parks where parking was plenty. On Thursday’s, there is a market and parking is not permitted in the Square during set hours. Parking on the Municipal Car Park was a great choice for us.

Very comfortable bed. Helpful welcoming staff. Utterly brilliant superbly cooked breakfast. Am now disappointed didn't choose to eat here in the evening because the tapas place we ended up at was pretentious rubbish.

Dual glazing - great for noise reduction but the sash outside our room was painted open. Just needs a knock for it to function properly. Would suggest that housekeeping leave the windows ajar to air the bathroom before arrival. Car parking in the village isn't easy but there is drop off outside and we found a non regulated space a bit further away. Devils bridge offers car parking but this is also accessible by bus from Lancaster.

The rooms were beautiful, clean and quiet, such a calming comfortable atmosphere in the rooms and a real touch of luxury. Stayed with a group of friends and all the rooms were lovely. Staff were really helpful and polite, the breakfast was 10/10 with plenty to choose from as well as a selection of cooked breakfasts. Wouldn't hesitate to return to such a lovely place. Location is perfect for being central to everything.

We liked every single thing about our stay at the Red Dragon. Trisha was an excellent host. Every room absolutely clean and warm (despite it snowing) Immaculate toilets. We sat near the log fire 🔥 having lunch and drinks. So comfortable we didn't want to move. The food was so tasty and well presented. After a wander around outside for a few hours we were straight back to the Red Dragon as the whole place was so inviting. Following a fantastic sleep we had breakfast. I can honestly say it was the best one ever with the most tasty bacon I have eaten. Thanks again to Trisha.

The welcome was friendly.We were shown to our room by a member of staff.The room was excellent, well furnished, clean and cosy with a modern environment-suite, great shower. We had food in the evening, the small plates are great value and super quality. The breakfast was also great quality, plentiful, tasty and a great selection to choose from.The breakfast was expertly handled by Sharon who was efficient, friendly and attentive. The location is right in the centre of the town. Thanks for a great stay.

Staff were so friendly & the Chef was so polite even come out to speak to us & give our fur baby a sausage . We ate here for breakfast & tea . Food was outstanding. The staff can't do enough for you. Our room was amazing . Only downfall room was really hot 🔥 🥵 through the night . My husband arranged with the staff for flowers & wine to be in the room when we arrived . That's was really nice. The walk to devil's Bridge was amazing & our fur baby had the best time ever.
