The Staff are absolutely fantastic and can’t do enough for you, in particular Lauren who runs the place and her other half who is the Chef. On that note it’s a gastric delight, hints of Korean (that in my opinion could be expanded as I love it!) as well as brilliantly cooked Pub fare. The room was also of a high standard and turned down everyday. As part of the charge for a pet we received a “Doggy Welcome” pack of a bed, treats and a towel, again something of an extra we’ve not had before at a minor cost. Local walks are on the door step with a bus service should you wish to travel without your car. I should also add that this is a locals pub, those that drink in there are extremely friendly, to a point of asking me to move there! Overall a 5 ⭐️ experience, again thanks to Lauren and her team for a fantastic stay.

Needed a stop over convenient to the M6 en route to the Lake District. We were attracted by the high score on booking.com and were not disappointed. Lovely well appointed room, tastefully decorated with nice bathroom, good shower and quality toiletries. Would have liked to have eaten at the pub, but unfortunately food only served from Fri-Sun. A delicious and sustaining breakfast served the next morning. Have no hesitation in recommending and would stay again.
It may have just been an oversight, but think a spare loo roll is customary, especially as the one supplied wasn't a full one. It was fine, but I am sure would have been supplied if we requested it,

We had a lovely welcome which included Alfie our Cocker spaniel. The inn has a cosy feel and the room exceeded our expectations. We loved the little extra touches such as a radio playing classical music and the lamps were switched on in our room, giving us an immediate cosy welcome. Plenty of tea and coffee available. We also had a door leading straight outside so we could take Alfie out last thing at night. A comfortable bed and decent pillows and also generous sized bath towels all added to our feeling of wellbeing. The full English breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked and served with a smile.
Nothing - it was perfect.

This has to be one of the lovliest places I have stayed in. I arrived early evening to a warm welcome (including from the friendly pub labrador, Bella!). My room was warm, spacious, tastefully decorated and so comfortable. Perfectly comfy bed and pillows, excellent shower and lots of thoughtful touches, including quality toiletries in the bathroom, proper coffee machine, useful small fridge. Loved the retro-style radio which was playing classical music when I walked in the room - gave an immediately relaxing feel and was v welcome after a long drive!! The owners and staff were so helpful and friendly. Fantastic breakfasts and a superb evening meal. As if all this were not enough, the setting, in beautiful countryside and 5 mins drive from the excellent RSPB Leighton Moss, was icing on the cake. I can't wait to come back and stay again and would not hesitate to recommend.
Nothing to dislike - only that I hadn't booked to stay longer!

Stayed at The New Inn whilst visiting the area for a Ghost Hunt at Borwick Hall. The New Inn is a beautiful boutique hotel , Set in a lovely location with walks on the door step. A family ran hotel with a personal touch. The hotel is beautifully presented, clean, well equipped rooms. The bathroom was beautifully modern and very clean. The room was a nice size for single and couple occupancy The breakfast - yum. I tried the vegetarian and the full English both were delicious. One evening I ate in the bar and enjoyed the food. Staff and locals were warm friendly and welcoming. It was a pleasure to stay there and I will definitely return. Thank you very much for accommodating me and making my whole experience a pleasure. I will be telling everyone about you.
The hotel was perfect for my needs

Breakfast was excellent, all local fresh ingredients and fresh pots of tea and coffee. Rooms were high end finish with tea, coffee and snacks as well as waters in mini bar. Owners were super friendly and we ate both nights in the restaurant which was incredible quality and value for money. Dogs welcomed, beds, towels and treats in the rooms. Honestly cant fault the place, great walks around the Hamlet and close to towns, coast etc. Real gem of a place and I cant recommend highly enough.
Nothing at all..

The New Inn is a very cosy and comfortable pub. Situated in a tiny village surrounded by rolling countryside not far from M6, this Inn is a brilliant find. It's decorated in a contemporary style to a very high standard. The room was on the small side but perfect and breakfast was superb. The dog loved it too and received his own welcome pack. With direct access from the room to the garden it was a perfect for him. He enjoyed his muddy walk along the nearby ridge and snooze in the bar and restaurant later. The restaurant food was excellent. We only stayed a night to break a journey but hope to return for a walking mini break.

Very cozy and welcoming, with real fires and a lovely atmosphere! Bedroom was extremely cozy with well stocked complimentary drinks/snack tray and both teapot and coffee machine. As we entered the bedroom there was low volume classical music playing from a DAB vintage style radio playing which was another nice touch. The bed linen was great quality and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was compact but clean and well presented. Complimentary toiletries were provided and appreciated. Lots of good quality towels provided.
There was a lack of storage available in the bathroom - only a very small corner shelf which wasn’t adequate really, nor was it very stable - items kept falling off it.

Top place, from the booking you will receive information via email, to keep you up to date, and they will reply to any queries. Very refreshing. From first greeting to the last farewell it was a Joy. Great welcome, very freindly. Our suitcase taken to our room, what a room! spacious, clean comfortable, coffee machine good selection of goodies. lovely shower room with great quality of bathroom products provided. You will find a lot of local information about the area. Rambling, places to visit etc. Good beer in the bar. The breakfast is not just a breakfast, it's a piece of art. Just opened and cannot fault it. Will return.

Absolutely wonderful room and quality of furnishings. Loved the welcome tray in the room. Just right for when you need a cuppa on arrival. The bed was so comfortable and the breakfast was great. Particularly on the second morning. (I wouldn't have served scraped burnt toast to paying customers!) The location of the Hotel is great for surrounding attractions. The staff are friendly and obviously take care and pride in what they do.
All was good ( except the burnt toast 😁) Which I could have sent back if I'd thought about it.
