Facilities at service station limited. Unable to walk around the lake.

The property was easy to find, plenty of free parking (put your reg in at reception). The gentleman on reception was excellent, really polite and professional easy check in. The location was stunning next to the lake and very quiet to say it’s next to the m6 didn’t hear any traffic noise. Very cheap for the Lake District.

The bathroom was quite dirty, hair stuck to the floor where it had been mopped. Quarter of a toilet roll left over. Walls had Wallpaper missing and curtain rail broken. Beds/pillows were not comfortable at all. However the price is very cheap for the location so you get what you pay for!!

Anita on reception was amazing,especially with the kids after they locked us out the room. Couldn't do enough for us and answered all our questions. The room was lovely and clean,smelt amazing and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel was in a great location giving easy access to some great parts of the lake district. The view of the lake from our room was beautiful. Handy having wh Smith,costa and mc Donald's right next door. It was great that we could take our dog also with plenty areas to walk the dog.

£100 for 2 nights for lake view. Room was good size. Staff friendly, 24 HR desk, parking. If your hungry and don't mind fast food 24hr McDonald's on site.

In the services so only food options are McDonald's or Costa (which was actually fine for breakfast). If you want anything else in the evening you'll need to drive to 20 mins to Kendal. Room fixtures are dated but mostly functional however heated towel rail in bathroom didn't work.

The location is brilliant with easy access to the Lake District. The view that we had from the room of Killington Lake and the hills was beautiful. Both the rooms we had (the first room had a very uncomfortable mattress as the new one hadn't arrived so we were moved to another room) were family rooms and spacious enough for us and our dog. One of the rooms had been partially refurbished with a newer heater, the other with a new carpet, chair and mattress, but both were warm and clean. Outside the grass areas made it easy to accommodate the dog's needs! The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful especially Dianne and John and although we had a few issues they were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Overall we had a lovely time and would stay here again.

The rooms and bathrooms need a complete refurbishment although they are basically adequate.

Convenience - killington lake is a lovely spot to stop at when travelling down south. It was an overnight stay to break up the driving. Staff were very friendly, large bed and room was clean. Lovely view of the lake in the morning.

Shower head was quite low, even for me - I am quite short but couldn't comfortably stand in the shower. Was worse for my 6ft partner. Bathroom tiles were peeling - they had obviously been painted at some point. Our room could have certainly done with a new bathroom. I don't think you would spend any longer here than required.

Location was handy just off the motorway with lake view. Areas around to walk our dog on the service road. Food and drink available next door 24 hours. For a nearby full Days Inn it was pretty quiet in the evening and morning. Darkened room overnight. Fantastic that it was dog friendly as was the shops/services next door. Staff were friendly and kind. Fantastic bargain price.

The room was maybe a little too warm (although this would be super in the winter!).

I stay at alot of these stops due to traveling across the uk to see family, and this is the nicest one. Its pretty much the same as the rest, but the view and the decor are upgraded. Having a mcdonalds breakfast from the motostop next door while watching the sunrise over the lake, honestly helped de-stress our 10 hour drive.

The same as most of these kinda stops are, a little bit run down and out of date, but honestly better then most.

We had a late booking as our lodge holiday was cancelled due to storm causing total power loss. We arrived at 10.00pm totally exhausted. Desk staff were excellent and very friendly. We got lake view rooms and so to bed. Great lake views in morning. The 11.00am checkout was a bonus and only £10 for a 12 noon checkout. The adjacent petrol station has Marks and Spencer food. The W H Smith's and Mcdonald's are open 24 hours.

We had been to the lake district on our way to Ayr so thought we would break up the journey here glad we did Antia was so wellcomeing made booking in so easy We got the food discount for some food told by ( Antia staff ) it was so nice that staff went out of there way to our stay all staff should have the standard that Antia has so helpful friendly knowledgeable patience with a great smile thank you Antia 😀
