Our room was very comfortable and super clean. The vibe here is a country cottage. We stayed in the bldg next to the main house. Located in the main house were open areas for breakfast, a grill, a fireplace, and enclosed porch. There's a garden in view. Beds were comfortable. Had a kitchen table, small fridge. Parking is easy, right on front of room. Quality linens and plenty of thick, quality towels. * note: We stayed here to go to the Cabbage Island Clambake out of Boothbay Harbor. Great activity.

The owners could have done nothing better. Everything was great and welcoming. Only 2 slught drawbacks for me is the busy and somewhat loud road out front. (But you just have to go to the main house and sit out back for quiet) The bathroom is great but the shower was the smallest I've ever showered in. A very large person might not be comfortable with this shower.

The breakfast is very basic - the coffee is excellent and you can get tea etc as well. It is self serve. I really enjoyed sitting and quietly enjoying the view with my coffee. The grounds are lovely. If you are a birder, ask the host about where you can view a variety of warblers towards the back of the property. The host is very helpful and friendly. I would love to go back.

I tend to need a larger breakfast because the events I had to attend did not provide for a time for lunch. However, there are several places within easy driving distance with great food and if you want to bring in food or leftovers, each room has its own bin in the refrigerator. I made use of that perk and the microwave the morning I was returning to the airport.

We've stayed here several times, and now choose Hawks Inn whenever we visit the area. Steve is very helpful and accommodating. The location is very good, with easy access to the various locations of interest (Pemaquid Point, seafood co-ops, Damariscotta and Camden, other harbors, etc.). The rooms are well maintained, the beds are comfortable, and you control the A/C or heat as you prefer, plus a morning snack of fresh banana bread. Walk in the beautiful garden (flowers, veggies, BBQ). A great place to stay.

We've stayed here before and chose to return this year. As a converted old house (and barn), it has its quirks but is also one of those "quaint" places that we like to use and support. The floors and stairs squeak a little (no surprise) and the floors aren't entirely level and the rooms each vary because of the way it was originally built, but that is part of its charm. We enjoy visiting the Pemaquid Point lighthouse and associated shoreline (image is on the Maine US quarter), and eating lobsters at Pemaquid Seafood; both are easily accessible from Hawk's House.

More parking area would be nice, but it is limited by the available space.

Hawk House Inn: A Peaceful Retreat Hawk House Inn is a charming escape offering a perfect blend of comfort and nature. The property boasts beautiful gardens, ideal for relaxation, and amenities like a grill and fire pit for outdoor enjoyment. Steve, the host, is welcoming and accommodating, providing delicious homemade banana bread and coffee each morning. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, equipped with modern conveniences like microwaves and coffee makers. The inn's peaceful atmosphere, combined with Steve's hospitality, creates a truly relaxing stay. While the absence of TVs might be unusual for some, it encourages guests to unplug and enjoy the serene surroundings. A handheld showerhead would be a nice addition to enhance the bathroom experience. Overall, Hawk House Inn is a wonderful choice for those seeking a tranquil getaway.

Charming in a historic kind of way; beautifully and simply furnished and decorated, peaceful, clean. Warm, friendly, helpful, accommodating owner. Gorgeous back yard and vegetable/flower gardens with Adirondack chairs in friendly groupings. Lovely screened porch off the dining room.

The shower head in my bathroom shot prickly spears of water. Serviceable but not comfortable. Replacing the shower head with a more updated one - with a hose-head option would be inexpensive (Home Depot) and would make a significant improvement in terms of comfort.

Our second time staying here. It’s a wonderful inn and the perfect stop if you are taking the ferry to Monhegan Island. Very comfortable room and bed. Ample hot water in the shower. Many sitting areas both in the main house and outside in the lovely gardens. There is coffee, tea and delicious banana bread for breakfast. I love the big book shelf to take or leave a book. Great communication with the owner, Steve. Would definitely return!

Classic New England house. Very clean. Not fancy, but well appointed. Nice screened in porch area for tea and banana bread in the morning. Generous towels for use. Comfortable bed. Beautiful garden for sitting and strolling. Steve is a warm and welcoming host.

Would have liked checkout to be at 11, not 10. That is minor.

Steve, the proprietor, was attentive to our every need. We were traveling with an elderly person and he made sure we were all comfortable. His inn is located conveniently to the purpose of our trip and has the most lush and beautiful private gardens. The Inn has a large common room and enclosed porch. We were able to have a lovely visit with family for a while. Steve helped us get the parking under control though I think we still parked in the wrong direction!

Loved it all. And Steve is very friendly and hardworking. A pleasure to have met him and found his Inn.

The owner, Steve, is a fabulous host. We immediately felt welcomed and right at home as we were checking in. His gardens around the property are lovely and make for a beautiful and peaceful setting. Our stay was delightful and quiet and we really enjoyed the fact that there was no tv in our room. We borrowed a deluxe Scrabble game from the main house to play after dinner. There were lots of games and books to choose from, So fun! This a a nice quiet property and so relaxing. Noisy groups of friends or families with small excitable children may prefer a place with more to keep them busy. Another great thing is the location- it’s only about ten minutes to downtown Damariscotta where there are some really great restaurants. It is also close to New Harbor, where we went to go on the Hardy Boat Audubon Puffin Watch (highly recommend!!); there are all sorts of art galleries and artisanal shops in the area as well. The accommodations were great! Clean and comfortable and we all slept well. Also Steve provides delicious banana bread and great coffee in the main house in the morning!!! I highly recommend Hawks House Inn. You will enjoy your stay!😊

No complaints!
