The location was great for access to the main street and all the shops etc. Our unit (single storey) was very quiet (despite being nearest to the Haus Restaurant) and spacious. Spotlessly clean, good hot water, useful kitchenette, comfortable beds. We highly recommend a visit to the Beerenberg Strawberry Farm, Otto's Bakery and the Fruit and Vegetable Market. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful.

Centrally located unfortunately also meant navigating the very busy, very crowded main street every time we needed to drive anywhere. (The mornings before 9 and evenings after 5 were delightful for strolling, though!) Hahndorf was nowhere as authentically German as we expected - for example, the only German speakers we came across were a Swiss couple and a restaurant manager who had learnt some German in primary school. The chocolate factory was not worth the visit.

Breakfast at adjacent restaurant. All good. Bonus- Had gluten free options for my partner. Large room; located close to shopping etc- all in walking distance. Room was very fresh and clean; had all facilities available, including coffee machine; large shower; serene, well kept, pretty garden making a more private screen/ separation from the street. Plantation shutters also were a modern privacy screen idea in the room.

Car park was very squeezy. Minimal space between cars- difficult to carefully get in and out of car.

We are a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We stayed at room no 80 and 81. The studio is located in the center of Handorf, parking is conveniently located at the front of the studio. It’s very clean and self contained studio. The bed and pillows are comfortable. Unfortunately, we stayed for one night only.

When we stayed, the staff didn’t inform us that the wifi was not working. We called the receptionist and we’re told that the wifi has been out of service for the past few days. I reckon it would be better service if they inform us when we’re checking in. It’s the service all about, isn’t it? We stayed at the ground floor and our daughters were at the first floor. We could hear when they walk and they could hear us talking from upstairs. It didn’t bother us but I think it’s good to know for light sleepers so they can prepare for it.

Room was spacious, modern and clean. The water jet in the shower room was great. TV screen was large with good cable TV channels. There are ample parking space. Hotel is located just behind the main street, convenient yet away from the crowd in the evening.

The inside door lock handle in my Studio unit's main door on the ground floor has dropped off (unit 82/83). Took me a longer time to lock and unlock. Other than this minor hiccup, this hotel is great.

The location was right in the middle of Hahndorf. So easy to see everything. Parked the car when we arrived and didn’t use it until we left.

Our room was next to the car park to one of the big restaurants in town. The big bins are located there and we were woken up in the very early hours of the morning with them being emptied. Could not get free to air TV. That was not a big deal.

Private entrance for the 2 units clean & fresh everything u need for short or longer stays

Maybe just the marks on carpet when u sign in u have to sign for any damage to the unit. Just makes u stress if the owners are aware of them & if I might get charged. Maybe it’s just because we have been stung before with this issue so we take photos when we arrive & if we don’t here anything it’s just relief

Everything was great apart from issue below.

I messaged the accommodation a day before to enquire about parking and didn't get a reply. I rang when we arrived in Hahndorf and left a message to be called back about parking but didn't get a call back so had to park nearby and walk to the reception to find out where to park. Shame, as the accommodation was excellent.

The location was fantastic and the size of the room was perfect. The information about Hahndorf and what the Haus group provided was very informative. The parking was also very convenient. The shower was amazing and the air conditioner made the room the perfect temperature overnight as the outside temperature dropped. We liked that we could walk all over town from this convenient location.

The bed and pillows could have been softer and more comfortable.

Great location with a short stroll through ornamental gardens to the main street of Hahndorf and The Haus Restaurant. Easy parking available in front of the hotel.

Was a bit of a pain carrying luggage upstairs to the second floor. Kitchen equipment mostly located on shelves near the TV as the kitchen was very condensed.

Lovely room and styled well. Big king sized bed, kitchenette, room to move. Great for a winter time get away. If you are looking for accommodation close to the main street in Hahndorf, this is it.

Didn't like that we couldn't open a window for fresh air, the rooms A/C was noisy. Bring your sleeping mask as you might need it. Our room had the security lights shining into our room, making it a bit hard to stay asleep with the slat window fittings.
