This is a very nice place to stay in Kittery. The people were friendly. The room wasn't big but it had everything we needed, with a parking space in front. It was clean and the bed was good. There's an outside swimming pool and a little picnic area. The breakfast room is small and gets crowded (it's in the reception area). Luckily for us, the weather was good and we could eat outside. There were enough items for us to choose from (we're not picky eaters) and the coffee was good (that is important!). You can't really walk anywhere from the inn but have to take a car to go places. We did a tour of several towns in New England and this inn was a big on the expensive side compared to other places, since there is no gym or lobby or anything like that. But if they install a hot tub - I can just picture one in the grassy area! - we will definately come back (even though we enjoyed the pool, it did get a bit crowdy and noisy at times with families we brought many jumping children)!

The instant we arrived to check in, we were greeted by delightful, kind people! We just had experienced a really lousy start to our visit by booking at a b&b that could have been the setting for any horror movie~ old and scary~ yard, barn, house and then the smell inside was musty and my husband said, “I’m not getting out of the car.” Wise choice cause I did go in~ outside stairs were spongy and felt unsafe. Host was lovely but whole place smelled musty. It was all paid for but we drove away. Finding this lovely haven to rest WAS such a gift. Perfectly clean and smelled fabulous ~ then people ~ every staff person was so kind and respectful, We were THRILLED!

Nothing ~ breakfast was free and very good.

This place was quite good HOWEVER, it defiantly needs a new bed and better lighting, the bed in this unit was terribly, more rattles than an old jalopy and extremely uncomfortable. Beds are the most important item in any accommodation.

Staff was pleasant and enthusiastic, clearly trying very hard, breakfast was very good for the price, really well done. Mostly very clean.

There was an odd smell in the room (2) when we arrived, but it was mostly gone after a few hours of open windows. The heating baseboard behind the bed had a weird brown goo on it. The mattress could probably stand to be replaced?

Good sized room with fridge and microwave. Clean bathroom with toiletries etc. Having a table and chairs was a bonus. Breakfast simple but good. We only stayed one night but would have been happy to stay longer.

Staff not visible at breakfast time to top up coffee pot or check guests out - had to knock on ‘private’ door. Apple Maps, or maybe Google maps insisted the motel was permanently closed which was a slight concern!

Very simple, clean, comfortable...everything you need, nothing you don't. It hearkens back to the motels of the '50s and has that vibe and charm. The breakfast was simple, tasty and adequate. Robin (mgr.) was cheerful and helpful. Our room was small, consequently I would not have wanted to spend a lot of time inside; it rained all 3 days of our stay, but gratefully The Inn is VERY convenient to Rt. 1 and it's attractions and just a quick hop to Portsmouth, NH so we had a great time exploring the region, both north and south. We really enjoyed The Inn as our 'base of operations' and would definitely recommend it to others on a budget.

There was some sort of business close by that was loudly up and at 'em early in the morning...sounded like they were loading lots of empty barrels in a truck? The AC was LOUD and very near the bed; because of the near-constant rain due to an approaching Hurricane Lee, the temps vacillated and the humidity was high, so adjusting between 'heat' and 'AC' was a pain, but this is NOT the motel's fault - they can't control the weather! Noise-sensitive sleepers: Bring your earplugs.

Our room was exceptionally clean, staff was very pleasant and the pool was heated very clean as well. Our room was set back from the road only two other rooms attached which gave us privacy.

The air conditioner could have been quieter but it kept our room very comfortable. Needs curtains on windows to better help block out outside lights

Queen room location on the lower level just as I requested, and an outside ramp to get to my room vs taking stairs. Room exceeded my expectations with a ‘kitchenette’ and not just microwave and mini-fridge.

Bed could have been more comfortable with a better mattress it seemed to sag in spots. Also, a nightlight in the bathroom would have been nice.

The parking is good. The staff are friendly. The location is super easy and near lots of amenities. The rooms are clean, simple and comfortable. The pool was clean and pleasant. The only con I have is that their stand up showers are small. I’m a large person and I had just enough room to was and no more. The bathroom is of good size though. Besides that one very minor inconvenience the rest of the facility and experience was exceptional. We will absolutely consider another stay here if we come back to the area.

Adorable, updated cottage, woodsy vintage vibe, super nice staff! We thought it was a great location for area exploration, just off the beaten path. The cottage was bright and clean! The free breakfast was quite satisfying and a nice bonus! Nothing fancy, but good choices.

Honestly, the only minor gripes were that the towels could stand to be replaced/upgraded, and the pillows were not the greatest... but it was still a great stay.
